Kari was once again faced with a Lost Mimic. She remembered from past experience that giving this enemy room to breathe was a big mistake. which meant she just had to keep the pressure on. With that in mind, Kari dashed forward to deliver a barrage of attacks. It was fine, her hit had still connected, even if it was just a scratch. This was not going well at all... Elium had been watching the battle from a safe distance for a few moments, and it didn't take him any longer to decide that he should probably step in and lend a hand. While he did have a split second of difficulty summoning an arrow, one still appeared, and he took aim at the living chest below with a frown forming under his mask.
Now, to see if he could actually hit it...

In the midst of her barrage of attacks, an arrow whizzed past Kari's head, causing her to just back. Turning around, she saw a masked figure had been the culprit. Had help finally arrived? It appeared so. Kari was so relieved, she flopped down onto the ground, her fatigue catching up with her. Using her sword to keep her upright, she watched to see what the newcomer would do next. After giving a short wave when the other turned around, Elium called up another arrow, moving a little further down his perch in order to get a better vantage point. This time, he scored a hit right in the mouth of the thing, and he paused for a moment to chuckle to himself and fix his hat as soon as he was certain that he wasn't going to fall down any time soon.

"No, I can take all the help I can get," Kari called up to her new ally's perch. She wanted to continue fighting too, but she was just so worn out, it took everything just to lean on her sword for support. She could only stick to moral support for the time being. "Yep, they definitely need to have their population quelled... though I apparently didn't do a very good job of it," she commented, finishing her sentence in a sheepish mumble. Moving a bit further down to draw the mimic's attention away from Kari, he summoned a third arrow, tilting his head as he tried to hash out his chances of hitting the boss right in the eye.OOC Name of character: Elium. Wandering around, Gwyn soon saw a treasure chest attacking someone again. Seeing two people she'd fought alongside before, she decided to charge in to help. Somehow, it managed to both dodge her and bite her in the same instant. Myoukin Mind if Gwyn tries to help? "Agreed... just wish my shot had done more," Kari replied. She tried to help in not making herself a target by hiding behind her long sword. It made a perfect barrier in that respect, and the mimic didn't seem to hold any interest in her as long as there wasn't movement. Kari's eyes lit up as another fighter joined the fray. "Hi, thanks for joining us," she called as quietly as she could, hoping the mimic wouldn't be alerted to her presence. "Ah, be careful!" she cried softly as her arm was bitten. And another arrow found its mark inbetween the jaws of the mimic, just as he'd hoped it would. He was doing a lot better with this bow instead of his previous weapons, he noticed.
"Hey, you did somethin' at least! And gettin' at it's half the whole thing, isn't it?"
As Gwynonwen moved in to attack, Elium hopped down to a lower ledge, moving a bit closer to the mimic when she was clear of it.OOC Name of character: Elium. Damage done: 12. Not to be shown up by the sharpshooting archer, Gwyn charged in attacking the monster so quickly that it could not counter. Kari nodded in confirmation of Elium's comment and watched as he and Gwyn went to town on the enemy. She agreed that she'd done a good portion by taking as far down as she had on her own... she just wished she could do more. Upon hearing Gwyn speak, Kari cocked her head to the side in confusion. "Eh?" she mumbled, only managing to catch portions of the girls reply.
