She touched the pillar, it was her choice, but was it? It seemed more, it seemed destiny that each time her hand reached out it was for this. Everything darkened around her and then she felt herself pulled, pulled elsewhere, pulled towards…
Something moved steadily under her and the air hitting her skin was both warm and refreshing an odd but perfect balance only achieved through motion. There was a sudden heavy clap on her shoulder and she felt herself startle and open her eyes, huh? She blinked a few times still feeling a bit bleary, but the bright light and the laughter surrounding her had her quickly focusing her attention. The hand moved off her shoulder and gave her back a slap.
"Haha! Fell asleep there, eh?"
Had she? Yes she must have, she looked down at the shadowy creature being ridden by…she grasped to remember his name the shadowy figure atop a shadowy beast…and she rode one as well. Another similar pair pulled up beside her and she blinked trying again to remember a name.
"Come on, it's not that far now. We'll be able to get this all sorted out soon. See? It's already in sight."
She followed his gaze and saw it, a building decorated with strange worn figures set into a cliff-side and looking half natural wonder half creation against nature. She looked around and realized that aside from the two flanking her she had several other companions, companions…yes she knew them. Yes of course, she couldn't believe she had forgotten their names! She must have dozed, how silly of her and Juliard had caught her sleeping. Indy was right about how close they were, and she could see daring Henry, the lovely Elsa, the brave Marion, the handsome Roshiel, and good ole' Sal. Yes, they had come together for one purpose to find something, something hidden at the end of the journey that the map had taken them on. The map that…she struggled to focus, to remember, but then there was a sudden shout.
She looked over in shock as a dark arrow whizzed past and lodged itself firmly in good ole' Sal's throat, he fell from his mount with a faint gurgle and she knew it was over for him.
"Take Cover!" She heard herself cry, an instinct that finally gave her voice.

Taking her own advice she leapt from the shadow beast and ran, she threw herself under the cover of some heavy boulders and shrubs and tried to calm the frantic pounding of her heart. She could hear them stomping about crashing around and searching, she only hoped the others hadn't met the same fate as poor Sal. Even now she could see Sal sprawled in the middle of the road, he was there and then…he was fading away before her eyes. She cringed and offered up a promise to avenge him, it was all she could do.
She looked to her left and noticed Roshiel, and beyond him were the others, she crouched low and carefully tried to motion for him to sneak towards her, together they could probably carefully escape this mess. Careflly she scooted along and slowly she managed to evade their notice, but then she saw an opportunity. One fool stood with his back to her, he was oblivious to her presence and she remembered her promise to Sal only moments before.
She jerked up and slammed into her foe from behind with all her strength and was delighted when he almost fell. Her companions came to her side and she put her fists back up ready to avenge her fallen comrade.
With a thud and a clank, the shadow Knight readies its blade. It says nothing, but it doesn't need to. Not when it is fighting with murderous intent!

Perhaps she ought to have left well enough alone because her opponent easily took her first punch with barely a flinch and then left her reeling with a sudden blow to the side of her face. She felt dazed for a moment and her companions looked for ways to help.

Luckily for her she had some damn good friends, she staggered back as she was hit again but then Juliard was there handing her something thick and heavy, a branch of some kind. She swung and hit her opponent solidly enough to make him stumble.
"That was for Sal!" She wiped a line of blood from her lip and readied herself to finish the b*****d.

Perhaps she ought not to have been so cocky, in the next moment her feet were swept from under her and she landed hard on her back, her opponent loomed above looking ready to end her. She brought her hands up to try and defend herself.

She felt the blows rain down, each one seemed harder then the one before. At first she struggled to block, but a swift kick to her ribs had her curling up and sucking in lungfuls of air in an attempt not to black out.

Darkness was closing in, every hit threatened to send her into oblivion. She fought to find strength in the pain, but her opponent was merciless and each time she thought she had the ability to stand a well placed kick kept her down. She couldn't even lash out now, she could only struggle to survive.

She couldn't hold on like this much longer, in fact she couldn't hold on like this anymore at all. Then suddenly the pummeling stopped and she gasped for breath. Scrambling she stood on shaking legs and saw the elegant and poised Elsa clinging to her opponents neck and trying to strangle him to no avail. She watched in wide eyed horror as her opponent easily grabbed Elsa and brought her slamming over his head and onto the ground, there was a sick snapping sound that she feared she would never forget and then Elsa was gone.

With a cry of fury she came rushing at her opponent and brought both her fists, and the wooden branch, against his skull with all her might. It wouldn't bring back Sal or Elsa, but it felt good to watch him crumble, to watch him fall as they had fallen. She dropped the branch and stepped back her breathing erratic and her chest heaving.

With their enemy defeated she knelt for a moment her body shaking and the traces of pain still lingering. She noticed something had fallen and scooped it up, but no matter what it was it couldn't bring back her companions. She took a few moments trying to calm herself and organize her feelings. She had promised and offered vengeance, but she still felt hollow.

"Let's move on..." She directed the rest of her companions and watched them as they stopped a moment each offering her either a touch or a look of comfort.

[Part 2] As they entered the building she found a little more strength, she couldn't let the loss of her companions pull her down. She paused as they reached a beautiful fountain and she hastily joined the others in using the crystal waters to drink and wash away the dust and battle fatigue.

Still dripping a bit she motioned them over towards a long narrow hallway.
"I don't like the look of that..." She heard Indy saying out loud what they were all thinking. He bent and tossed a pebble down the hall only to send a flurry of spears, saws, and swinging blades churning thunderously into action.
"Sweet love of...well we can't just turn back." Not after Sal and Elsa, they couldn't let those deaths be in vain.
The others looked uncertain but finally Marion stepped forward, she was brave enough for all of them.
She watched Marion warily and felt her breath stop her heart gave a thud as Marion walked into the hallway and then ducked, rolled, jumped, and ran, and then she was calling out from the end "I'm alright!" She was laughing and urging them on telling them how easy it was.
Indy followed Marion, he wasn't quite fast enough when it came to the duck after the roll and she heard his grunt of pain, but whatever small injury he had received didn't stop him from reaching the halls end. Henry followed and made the whole thing look easy as a morning stroll. She deiced to follow him and slowly crept forward, she cried out as a trap sprayed her from above a mist of burning liquid making her hastily rip off her jacket and toss it aside. She ducked, she rolled and she let out a yelp of pain as a spear grazed her thigh. Juliard and Roshiel were following, she hurried along and jumped as the massive swinging blade came out. Fortunately she cleared the blade, but she landed hard and had to scramble on her hands and knees a bit bloodied and wary but alive. She and her companions had made it through.

[Part 3] She looked at her companions, they looked as harried as she felt after getting through that hallway. Yet the next room was there, they examined the wide area with it's multitude of tiles, all so pretty and bearing a different image. Juliard seemed to have picked up Indy's trick because he scooped up a rock and tossed it into the room. There was a flash and sudden pillar of fire and then the rock was gone only a little mound of ash marking it's place before it blew away.
"Right then..." She sighed and decided to step out first.
Hesitantly she inched her foot onto a tile and then slowly let her weight rest, there was a sudden loud CLANG! something heavy fell from the ceiling and...and she blinked dazed.
The other slowly moved after her, Henry set his foot wrong and suddenly there was a dagger flying at him. She shoved herself in front of the projectile and hissed in pain as it sliced the top of her shoulder. Henry looked at her gratefully and she squeezed his hand in a gesture of camaraderie. Whatever was at the end of all this had best be worth it.
She stepped carefully onto the next tile and smiled as it held her weight...for a split second before it crumbled under her. She opened her mouth to scream, but suddenly Henry's hand was there and he yanked her up and tossed her onto another tile only to slip back himself and fall.
"Henry!" She cried out and reached desperately, but it was too late he was gone.
The other watched wide eyed, worried, and realizing they would never see Henry again.

She looked up as something wet sprinkled her from above, the tile she had been tossed on by Henry depicted half of a woman's face and a tear sliding down her cheek. She felt a bit better, but the emotional pain was still there. Slowly she stood and moved onto the last tile and then off. She glanced back just in time to see a heavy beam slam into Roshiel with a sickening CRUNCH!
No! She leaned in and yanked him towards safety as the other hurried to join her on the other side. He was hurt badly, one arm was mangled and rested at a very wrong angle. His leg looked broken and his shoulder was probably dislocated. She tried to calm him and stroked his hair.
"It'll be alright, don't think of the pain, think only how close we must be by now..."
She dragged him with the help of the others into the next room.

[Part 4] Dragging Roshiel with the help of the others they entered the last room and looked around at the circular chamber. Shelves lined the walls and goblets sat on the shelves, and a magnificent fountain stood in the center, this was what they had come for. She let Juliard take hold of Roshiel and stepped forward.
Swoosh! She jumped back and stared wide eyed at a shadowy javelin impaled in the ground and quivering a hairs-breath away from where she had stood a second before.
The room shook around them, the goblets rattled and suddenly a figure stepped into the light. A guardian, tall, head held high, and armed again.
"HALT. YOU SHALL NOT PASS." He boomed.
She hadn't come this far to be stopped by words now. She walked forward in defiance, big mistake, she was knocked back easily.
