Efflo lifted his head at the barking voice, staring blankly. Why, why did he look so familiar? But it all came flooding back as if it had only just happened, the boy suggesting that he and another kiss, the boy, Thackery, that was his name, gleeful when they finally did. Efflo stared, eyes wide, remembering that day and the icy lips against his that contrary to their coolness, had filled his heart with warmth. It was all he could think to do. Thackery knew him, and he knew Gabriel. He thought of asking him, perhaps calling the other by name but Thackery hadn't seemed to recognize him. Efflo's already waning confidence withered further and he lunged at the boss out of frustration. Somehow it still failed to surprise Thackery that hitting a dragon creature with the equivalent of a featherduster really didn't do much damage. Still, it seemed to be distracting it a fair amount, and it was dividing its focus. Not bad! But he didn't seem okay, and that made him feel just as sad as seeing him getting chomped on by a dragonthing might have. "Hey! Are you okay? Is something wrong?" He all but skipped over to him, smiling all the way. Gywn had been wandering around looking for another monster to fight for a while before she finally found one. Attacking before checking her surroundings, she slashed the monster and then managed to dodge its counter. It was only then that she noticed the other two attacking it. "Need some help?" she asked. He was stepping away from him, and used his real name; Thackery's ears drooped, and he took a step back too. "I'm sorry, I don't remember very much at all - I hardly remember my name! But I'm sure you mean a whole lot to me! Please don't be mad!" He continued to step backwards until he almost ran into the newcomer. Not a familiar face, but they might be friends too! "Hi! I think we're happy for any help! Right, um..." Oh no. He couldn't remember his name. His whole body seemed to droop along with his ears. What a bad friend. Noting that the two of them seemed to need some time to talk things over, Gywn decided to avoid dodging so that she could dispatch the monster. After all, being attacked distracts people when they're trying to talk. So, Gywn brought her scythe blade down hard through the monster's head. Efflo wasn't sure how to react to not being remembered. He already on some level expected it, after all, Thackery hadn't recognized him at first glance or on the second. It wasn't as devastating as he would have guessed, and if he reminded himself correctly, he didn't even know what Thackery was to him, just that he had started a train of memories that had been so wonderful and warm... It was cold now, and not in the pleasantly chilly way that Gabriel had wrapped around him in his memories. Efflo stared at Thackery meekly, his grumpiness lessened by his confusion. "It's okay... Thank-you two for the help..." He bent, scooping up a couple items from the fallen boss.
