Please welcome my god-child Jocosus. It is said that this heatran was spewed forth from his mother the great mountain Matsutta. The reason: to teach him some humility. For unknown eons Jocosus traveled the great veins of magma and slept within lava chambers, finding only once every century or so another living soul. He never learned to value life as anything but a curiosity, or peon to serve him. Neighbors would be tolerated. Trespassers would be destroyed. And now he must learn what the tiny fleshbags must learn early on: living is difficult, dangerous, and precious.

Once revered as a god of the mountain, he understood a balance in Everything existed and that all things are bound by it. Mortals revered the god and the god saved his followers from the natural disasters inherent in living at the root of the volcano. But life as a poké-child is bound to turn the heatran's life and everything he understood upside-down...
Name - Pronunciation(s): Joh koh SYOOS maat SYOOT tah - Given: Latin: "merry, playful." Behind the Name - Surname: Matsutta refers to the mountain from which he was born. - Hidden Meaning(s): Regardless of how it is supposed to be pronounced, the above is how he pronounces it. And no one else matters, really. Only his way. <3 Nickname(s) - At Home: Child of the Mountain. Our Lord And Savior, Magma God, I Love You Bear My Children, God Of Sexy Pineapples And Stuff (sexy god of pineapples?)... (okay, anything that is used to praise and worship him is good, though you might get funny looks) - In Town: N/A - Friends: Joy (If he has not proclaimed you, and loudly I might add, are his friend, do not call him Joy. Call him Your Godship or something. Seriously, don't even go there. You will damn your progeny for five generations to come for spawning such a dumb idea. I mean really. Just don't go there.)
Physical Stats - Gender: Male - Stature: He's a tank on quick, nimble toes. Maybe he should be a boxer. - Metal/Magma/Skin: He glows. And those are melty-things. His skin's kinda asphalty. - Optical Orifices: Glowing-red and glassy. - Other Features: Generally speaking, heatran is shaped like a cross between a bulldog and a gecko with melted football gear.
Clothing - Style: Good luck finding some that won't melt off.
Personality: - Nature: Jolly - Summary: Despite living in solitude for most of his life, he loves people. He will chat about anything with anyone and go so far as to entertain them just for the positive response. He seeks approval from no one, however, and disrespect or intrusion of any kind upon himself or anything/anyone he cares for will be met with dire consequences. He will swat the "fly" away without hesitation and return to his happy conversation. As time goes on, perhaps, he will see that the "consequences" he inflicts will have dire consequences of their own, as those he cares for care not for his swift and merciless "justice." Hopefully his resiliency translates to an open mind.

He's a bit fluid and changeable though. *snork* - - The Entertainer, as the name implies, is people-oriented and likes to solve problems in a way that benefits all. They use their senses in making these and other decisions, as opposed to following a gut feeling. They seek to be the center of attention and even feel uncomfortable when left alone. However, they experience life in the moment, seeking adventure even in their daily life.

Heatran: the god-modding fire-turtle!
Designation - National Pokédex Number: 485 - Type: Fire/Steel - Species: Lava Dome Pokemon - Habitat: typically lives within the crater of an active volcano. - Diet: unknown?
Physiology - Overview: Often described as turtle-like, with molten bits of metal, metal bangles, and a metal helmet, I think of it as shaped like a bulldog with a bulldog's face, gecko feet and a frog's nubby tail. (So basically it is a mythological salamander?) - Height: 5 feet, 7 inches / 1.7 metres - Weight: 948.0 pounds / 430.0 kilograms
Behavior: Heatran are fiercely protective of their volcano, and their rampage can only be tamed by a Magma Stone. Breeding - Egg Group: Undiscovered (No Egg) group - Gender Ratio: 50% male, 50% female - Gender Differences: none - Courtship: if known
Abilities - Flash Fire: Always immune to fire-type attacks. Ability activated when hit by fire-type attacks, the user's own fire-type attacks are boosted by 1.5×. Ability not activated when burned or frozen. - Flame Body (hidden ability): Burns a foe on contact (30% chance). - Other: Can climb on walls like a gecko. Its blood boils like magma, and when it opens its mouth a glow can be seen from deep within. Seems impervious to heat: besides living inside a volcano parts of its body appear to have melted. Only Reshiram's Turboblaze Ability can get around this which gives STAB on both.

When a trainer catches a wild pokémon, it always knows at least one technique to try to win. Sometimes it is a great catch and knows more! (Sorry Joy, heatran starts out as a one-trick pony). As it levels up, a pokémon learns new skills, sometimes forgetting old ones in the process, which will be shown in spades as Joy throws tantrums grows.
Ability: - Flash Fire: Flash Fire would be more powerful while he is a pokémon and it comes naturally. As a human (especially child and even worse as a teen), he has to consciously focus on it for it to work. In other words, it is like a state of mind, or being in-tune with his body and surroundings.

Level Breakdown: - Name: ???-type, category (physical attack or status move) (if STAB bonus), describes how HE does it
Starting Learnset: - Ancient Power: (Primeval Power). Rock-type, Special move (physical attack with possibility of raising all stats by 1 stage, except Accuracy and Evasion). Body glows white, leaving an after-image that forms into glowing ball of energy in front of body (from mouth as poké, in front of chest as child+) and shoots it at foe.

Family Unknown. Does he have any family? Or did he just sprout up out of the earth?
History -A prose timeline for Joy, spoilered until certain PD/Solos are posted
As an 'infant' heatran he has wandered as long as he can remember, for 500 years or more. It is his traditional route to follow the spine of the mountain range, Arceus' Crest, and "often" settles within the active Matsutta Volcano, after which he takes his name.
In periods of local activity, his powers can shelter the area from the lava's flow. Traditionally, the Matsutta village revere the volcano god heatran, and pay him tribute, which he thoroughly enjoys. In return they expect his protection.
However, his cycle of wandering is a natural thing, and he will, naturally, wander away. During those times, the village is not protected, and calamity may befall it. It is during his most recent wandering that the Village noticed his absence. The younger generation saw no reason to pay homage to an absent god. Did he even exist? And so when the god returned, there were no tributes to be found. This displeased him, but it was not enough the set off his foul temper.
After his return, a period of peace fell upon the village. One young froakie had for most of his youthful life, petitioned the village to return to their old ways. Periodically a lava flow had endangered the village, but lately flows had followed paths around the village. Surely this was a sign that the god had returned and that diligence should be redoubled.
But why should they, the practical argument could be made, if they so obviously are already being 'protected' by the god?
Meanwhile, a pair of squirtle twins known for their troublemaking found the sleeping den of the venerable god. He was huge! Lava flowed freely around him!
A gorgeous glowing jewel was around his neck!
Star struck by the glowing Magma Stone, and perhaps among those who ignored old tales, they decided to steal it (and probably blame it on Cardice later). But when they did, the lava tunnel began to shake. They barely made it out alive before the god awoke, enraged and uncontrollable!
The result was the end of Matsutta Village. Many pokémon died from pyroclastic flow: steam, toxic fumes, fire, or lava burns, others were forever scarred by bad burns.
A certain pancham, for whatever reason, was spared by being pushed away. He covers his scars with tattoos.
The Magma Stone "appeared" in a place where Jocosus would find it.
Evron the Froakie found himself picking up the pieces, looking for survivors, digging graves for his friends. Thankfully most of his family lived across the lake, away from the village.
Joy's emergence from the mountain is bittersweet at best. Tribute can only be paid so many times and so many ways. His protection seems dependent on how well the villagers can make him connect with the lives of mortals. Should he become annoyed, he may smite someone to death. Should he grow bored, he might just wander away again.
He simply does not understand life, death, pain, suffering… and joy. Well, joy he does sort of already understand. But relating to others is going to be a long learning process.
Evron shows him one of his burn victims. Joy expects him to serve. But he cannot because his burns restrict movement and cause constant, great pain. Oh.
Seeing pain and inefficiency (and burden to others) day in and out leaves the god to wonder, well, why don't they just die? Because no one wanted to die! They wanted to live. They can't serve you if they are dead. Oh.
Seeing someone die is puzzling. Why don't they move again. They are dead. They will no longer move because they no longer live.
Oh.
The god does not understand why the fluid falls from his eyes.
But the villagers do, and they realize his descent into the world of mortals has slowly (though not for him, he whom has lived 500 years, at least) begun to understand the mortal world.
