You hear a terrible screech, like that of a banshee, and a malevolent face staring at you as you turn around.

While walking back to report his progress to the Great King...

Rei encountered a banshee!

He quickly walked past. Banshees are supposed to be the thing that will WAIL on your windows when there's a family member near death or in mortal peril, right? A ghost like him has nothing to do with--

SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

"God darned it! Why do you wail!? I've got no family-"

"SHUT UP!"

Annoyed, Rei took a slash on it.

It didn't get quiet, though. It screams even louder.

The constant yelling made his ears ache-
We're both supposed to be ghosts, but...

He took another swing on her-since one of his hand still remains closing his ear, it only ended grazing.

Pulling it up to cover his ears, he jacked the plug into the weapon he's holding, half-expecting something...

But no.
No voices.
Only silence and a bit of static.

"Tch", he groaned.
And with that, took another slash.
