Sammy wandered through the fog frowning curiously, somewhere West had split off from her, they had been wandering trying to find one another, or at least she hoped he was looking for her.
Instead she found a floating sword when it decided to smash through the fog knocking her back. Hissing about her, claiming she was no hero, just a fake.
"Screw you ghost. Or sword. Whatever. I don't care what you think I am you're dead now." He heard her voice before he saw her, and luckily West caught sight of the thing she was fighting soon after so there was no need to slow his run. The new sword he had made was quite heavy, but it seemed to fit in his hand better than any of his guns had. It was a shame. He had really liked the guns. "Hey!" he said, swiping at the sword. "You're back." In truth, he had been the one to wander off, but he was back now, right? "I dunno, I kind of miss those things with the screens."Quote: Name of character: West

The sword spun about lashing out at West with his arrival as he dragged his new sword along the phantom blades body.
"I'm back? You're the one who wandered away saying you thought you saw something shiny!" She laughed as she leveled the gun at the phantom. "I admit I didn't fight much back then." She fired away, "I was... reserved? Secluded. "Hm," he said, smirking at her comment about shiny things. "I guess I get that." No, he really didn't. Even when he hadn't known what would happen if he killed one, West was still drawn to fight these things, simply because they were there and fought back. He leaned on the sword, feeling an uncomfortable tingle roll through him. It seemed to urge him to hit the thing again, so he did. It wasn't a very good hit, but it appeased the blade. "At least you're fightin' now," he said with a shrug, raising the sword again. "That memory... what do you think we were doing?" He got that they had been fighting. A lot of the memories he'd regained centered around it. What he didn't get was why. A peppermint ninja? Really? Quote: Name of character: West

Sammy only made a face before turning to fire aimlessly at the sword, the shots might not connect, she didn't mind, she wasn't worried about this fight. She watched as he seemed to lean on his sword before lashing out again.
"Yeah. I am. Because I remember that's what I do, that's why I chose Ruin, because it's what I created, what I wanted to prevent." She flexed the non bone like fingers of her off hand looking back at the sword.

Afraid. He doubted it. West suddenly recalled the looming moon, the presence he couldn't help tearing his heart from his chest for... He swung at the living sword. Okay. It was not inconceivable that he had been afraid then too. He hadn't recalled any grand purpose for his life in the shrine, only that he didn't like the ones in the coats very much. They had been younger, that had helped strike the fear. It was from a time when they weren't as strong, as ready, as able to survive as they where now.
She shrugged when West asked if she had seen anyone suspicious. "I don't know, I trust you because the past, the memories say I should. The only things I've seen that where off... where distorted memories and things I'd rather not talk about."

"Fair enough." Besides the fighting, he'd had a number of squishier memories bubble up to the surface as well. He wasn't about to share those either. West glanced at the sword where it wove unsteadily nearby. It was time to end this fight. With a sudden shout he raised his own sword, straining the muscles of his shoulders as it arced over his head and hacked the thing nearly in two. Quote: Name of character: West

Sammy watched as West hefted his sword high above his head, it was a moment later the weapon came crashing down cleaving the monster in two. Tucking her gun away she simply clapped at his performance before moving to gather her loot.
"And where did you get that toy exactly?"

"I made it, I guess." He still wasn't sure how he had done so, but he knew he had used a number of the things he'd collected. "Out of stuff like this." West stuck his hands into the pile of trinkets the sword had left behind and pulled a couple of them out. x2
