Evan didn't know what this monster was, but it looked cool. For some reason, it didn't feel strange to be suddenly wielding a large, sharp, pointy dagger. Not only did this type of combat seem familiar, it also felt somehow right. At least, Evan seemed to have some idea of what he was doing. And then Shik came in to test his new tentacle claw thingie on the enemy. It looked sharp. Although he'd always be partial to his gold spear . . .
His non-proficient-ness showed a bit plainly, however, as his strike missed.

Shik barely nodded in return. He did not recognize either of their faces, but . . . comrades were comrades.
He moved in and gave a better attempt at hitting the stupid thing.

Shik had no idea what he was gonna get from this monster. None at all. Whatsoever.
He shifted his wing in what would have probably been a "thanks I guess whatever" motion as he snatched up the red things and moved on.

He watched the creature reel and crumble in a cold fog. Another one down. He passed a polite nod and smile to his comrades, collecting a few trophies as he went.

Evan watched, suspicious, as the welcome interlopers left. While he was grateful for the lack of idle conversation, he couldn't help but think that they looked kind of weird. ((+2 red vial))
