Prom had been alright for a little bit. He got to dance with the demon he called his boilfriend, but then things happened, and Uller ended up cutting out the rest of the prom and sulked in his room. Etzer hadn't been too hard pressed to find him, it seemed, seeing how he had time to start a book and got half way through it with no distractions. Sighing slowly, he flipped another page and tried to ignore the sinking feeling in his chest.
He supposed it didn't matter, anymore. He knew they had a limited time together, because of rules or something, so he was trying to not get too emotionally involved with the demon. It was hard. When they were together, Uller found himself very much adoring the others personality. Oh well.
In all reality Uller didn't think that he would be seeing Etzer tonight. He probably wanted to spend it with someone else. Someone more suiting to his father's demands.
Etzer sighed as he knocked on Uller's room, hoping to Jack he would be there. Uller had just disappeared, and he had no idea where he'd went, leaving the frost demon to search for him across the whole school. It was rather silly, because Etzer thought he'd shown that he cared for the other, but apparantly it hadn't been enough. Not NEAR enough. Shaking his head at no answer, he knocked again and leaned against the doorway, about ready to leave. He didn't think Uller was here, but he was wanting desperately to find the other boil.
A knock caused him to jolt to reality and blinked a little. Then he heard it again before he got off his bed. He was in his pajama pants and nothing else right now. Opening the door, he spotted Etzer and blinked, tilting his head lightly. "Etzer..." He sounded almost surprised at seeing him here. He honestly thought Etzer would just go to his own room.
"Why'd you leave? I had to dance with my brother because I couldn't find you, and we lost." He looked exasperated, and frowned further as he lingered on the edge of the doorway. "He wouldn't even dance with me. I couldn't find you, where did you go?" There was slight worry in the frost demon's eyes, but he was more pouty than anything else.
He tried not to growl out as he was questioned like that and Uller simply shrugged, letting the boy come into his room. It was overly neat and tidy, and ultimately cold. Sighing slowly, he closed the door behind the ice demon and sat on the bed before shrugging. "I didn't feel comfortable around so many creeple that knew you like that," he said honestly. So he got a little jealous, yet again.
"That knew me like what, Uller?" Etzer leaned on the door after it closed, crossing his arms. He raised an eyebrow at the other, lower lip sticking out just slightly as he attempted to assess the situation.
"...Just friends with you. I don't know, I don't have friends like that." He laid back down on his bed and took his book in his hands. "I half expected to see you tomorrow after you've rested from dancing with whoever it was you were dancing with. Xiu, since you seemed overly fond of her."
A slow smile crept on Etzer's face as he strode from the door, sitting next to the other boil. He couldn't help it, the situation was humorous to him. "Ahh... jealous much?" He'd honestly seen Xiu far less than Uller -- only that one moment where he'd kissed the back of her hand -- but more often than not he'd been dancing with his brother. He hadn't even gone out to see what other parts there were to the prom.
"Maybe you should have friends like that." The corner of his lips twitched, and Etzer tilted his head at his boilfriend. "And you should know that I hardly rest." Honestly, hadn't he remembered dragging him away from that outfit he'd attempted to finish all in one sitting?
Uller sighed heavily and just let his face color a little bit more. He knew the boil didn't rest, he knew, but at the same time, he still hated the fact Etzer was so well known. God, he fell for someone more flashy than him and it wasn't even funny.
Maybe he did need friends like that, but it wasn't easy for him to make friends. His first meeting with Lifen went swimmingly, after all. By swimmingly he meant that he ended up calling Lifen a lady of the night or something along those lines. "....Whatever. It doesn't matter."
Reaching up to adjust his collar, the corner of Etzer's lips twitched ever so slightly as he attempted to keep his composure. "No... do tell." He was very interested in what Uller had to say for himself, and his eyes darting around the room as he waited for the other's answer didn't help him much. He was very aware of how much this scenario was amusing for him, yet he couldn't stop feeling that way.
"Nothing. Drop it. It's honestly nothing," he murmured, going to open his book. He attempted to find the paragraph he was stopped on. "There's nothing left to say other than I left because I got uncomfortable with so many knowing you, and you're sitting here laughing at me. Maybe not really laughing, but I know you're taking for to much pleasure from my uncomfortable position than you should." Uller wasn't mad, his tone said as much, he was just... His feelings were mixed.
"I find it amusing that you act like you don't really care, but..." He leaned back, arching an eyebrow as he reached behind Uller to stroke his tail. "You're so cute when you're upset. I don't know why you're upset, you and my brother are the only ones I've danced with tonight." Really, Uller was the only one he'd danced with, considering that his brother just flat out glared at him when he begged for Molan to enter the competition with him.
Glancing at the book, Etzer attempted to read the title. Was that one of his CYOA books...?
When his tail was touched like that, Uller sat straight up and let out a little shuddering moan. That was cheating! He glared over at Etzer and narrowed his eyes lightly. He wasn't sure why he was mad, honestly, but he did feel pushed to the side. Sighing slowly, the stag moved his hands to hide his tail before Etzer could do anything else with it. Swallowing a little, he showed Etzer the book since he was curious and just sighed. It was a straight mystery novel.
"Alright, I can see where I'm not wanted." Raising his hands, Etzer let out a verbal sigh and placed them on his lap, turning away to stare at the wall. He was slightly put out by Uller's attitude; he had been convinced that he could waltz right in and things would make themselves right. Of course, he'd never been in a relationship before, and when he lived with his parents... things just righted themselves. Servants were amazing.
Etzer figured he'd stay silent until Uller spoke again. Or at least, he'd try to stay silent.
His brows knit at his boilfrien'ds change of attitude and he sat up again. "Etzer..." He leaned forward, pressing his face int othe other's chest. Jack damn himself for making the boil feel bad. Jack damn himself for feeling bad! "Our time is limited as it is and ... I don't know, thos eothers surrounding you.. I felt pushed to the side. I'm sorry..." He moved to actually sit himself in the other boil's lap, sighing hard.
Huh. He didn't think he'd sounded put out, but Etzer turned and ran his fingers through Uller's hair, blinking down at him. "You're going to have to get used to the fact that I'm popular." He stated quietly. "I'm highly sought after for my expertiese, as well as my companionship." His eyes were bright, and the frost demon wasn't angry at all, but he wanted to spell it out for Uller as best as he could. "I tried to make the whole night about you, I hope you realize. When you disappeared, I had nothing left to do except become a wallflower. I don't really appreciate being a wallflower, but everyone else had dates." He rolled his shoulders back, pressing his fingers together as he withdrew from Uller's hair. He didn't care about the book at this point.
The book was forgotten, somewhere on the bed, probably next to them. He just rested his head on the boil's shoulder taking a deep breath. "...I apologize for leaving. I'm no good with... situations. Even social situations back home I was a frequent wallflower, so I know how it feels." He pulled his face away from that neck and just looked at the boil.
"...I got selfish."
"You need to stop being selfish. I can't baby you all the time. I can let you shine on my arm, but I will not stand for such crude behavior if I am to have you by my side constantly." Etzer stared at Uller, eyes meeting eyes as he paused, attempting to allow the words to sink in. He was used to the social life, and didn't much like being alone - he always had to search for someone to talk to, even if it was someone he hated. Pros and Cons were a big part of him, and even if the Cons outweighed the Pros in the situation, he'd still bite the bullet and take company over solitary confinement, no matter the cost. He just felt like he had the matters taken out of his hands, which he didn't appreciate in the slightest.
"Do you understand?"
Now he fet like a child getting a lecture. He just looked off to the wall and let his face color in hot embarassment. Uller half wanted to just kick the boil out of his room right now and just go about his life, but he couldn't. His ears pinned against his head and he slid off the others lap and back onto the bed.
Uller knew he needed to stop being selfish, but he'd done it for so many years now, he'd been babied for so many years by a lot of different creeple in his life, he half expected the world to bend over backwards for him. "Fine."
Uller didn't get it. Etzer pinched the bridge of his nose, attempting again. "Uller. If you are to stay with me, you are expected to have impeccable manners."
"Yes, Etzer, I understand." He looked up at the other and just sighed. "Trust me, I do understand. I'll stop being jealous and let you have you friends. I'd really be a huge d**k if I didn't let you have them, right?"
The corner of his lips twitched as he stared at Uller. "... boilfriend, please repeat verbatum what I've said."
He sighed and tried to recall what was just said a minute ago. He ran his hand through his hair as he repeated. "'If you are to stay with me, you are expected t-....." he stopped, letting his voice trail off and his eyes narrowed. "....Wait."
"Oh, it looks like the stag understands." Etzer raised an eyebrow, leaning back on the bed. It had taken him long enough, and it made the frost demon wonder what exactly was going on in Uller's pretty little head.
Uller kind of just stared at him for now, his ears perking up slowly and then back down, and then back up, as if he was very unsure about what he heard. "....Really? You said, though, that... Your father wouldn't approve."
"To be honest, he wouldn't approve of how you are now." Etzer crossed his arms, hunching slightly. His father wouldn't approve in the slightest, but he could make him tolerate the other at least. "But if you had impeccable taste and manners to match, I'm sure you could win him over." It was a long shot, but Etzer was willing to try. Uller had been growing on him, and even at Prom, which he'd though would have been his last dance with the other... he'd been surprised. Pleasantly surprised, even.
He hadn't even thought about Xiu. Idly, he wondered if that's all minor crushes were - just something to get over until you found the one other you'd enjoy being around.
"Really?" He couldn't help the hopeful tone out of his voice. He moved back over to lean against Etzer, brows knit hard as he watched him. If he cleaned up his act, his father would really be alright with them together? Clearing his throat a little, he flushed a little more, looking down at his hands, that were lightly resting on Etzer's thighs. The thought that their time wasn't as limited as he thought he was. That meant he could relax a lot more.
"Most likely." Etzer glanced to him, that tell of his pulling at his lips once more.
With that, Uller leaned up and kissed him slowly. Being able to kiss his boilfriend was a good thing right now and he just gave a little sigh against those lips. His eyes slipped close, his hands cupped Etzer's cheeks during this kiss.
"Sorry to worry you," Etzer murmured softly, reaching up to stroke Uller's cheek softly as he gave him a chaste kiss in return. "I've been thinking about it, and it just wasn't fair for you."
"...I had settled into thinking it wouldn't be anything serious between us, honestly," he admitted a bit sheepishly. Uller's hands stroked along Etzer's neck quickly, then shifted to undo that shirt slowly. He just wanted to touch the other. Chastely or not.
Sorry to worry you," Etzer murmured softly, reaching up to stroke Uller's cheek softly as he gave him a chaste kiss in return. "I've been thinking about it, and it just wasn't fair for you."
