Nuivian was more than ready to take off and chase after the thing. It had flown off into the woods and the damned thing knew that it was him that ripped into a chunk of his arm earlier. Why else would it have seemingly sought Nuivian out? It was already infuriating to say the least; the whole situation seemed to be a mess at this point. Even if it hadn't been Nuivian’s dragon, it would still have angered him that he had to spend his time chasing it down. But it was his dragon, and that made it even worse. He would find this thing, and he would kill it. He would finally have successfully hunted a dragon, and he would show his parents that he wasn't a wimp and that he knew a thing or two about hunting. That he wasn't a child anymore, despite his age. They always treated him like he was such a baby, and it was about the only thing in this world that could make his blood boil in an instant. He was someone to be respected damn it!
Nuivian took off into the woods and chased after the thing, trying to keep up with its irritatingly fast flight patterns. But it seemed to want him to follow it. It wasn't flying like it was trying to get away, and Nuivian could only think once again that this thing really was toying with him. He growled into the air as he tore through the forest as fast as his short legs would carry him. His robes were trailing behind, furiously flapping against his legs and back into the wind. They snagged on twigs and bushes, slowing Nuivian down and irritating him further. That dragon would be lucky if Nuivian even let it have a clean death after all of this.

Nuivian stumbled on an exposed root, tripping and having to try to catch himself from falling. Too bad for him the ground was so uneven in that particular area. Nuivan’s tumble turned into a full on roll down a hill, gathering a cloud of dust, dirt, leaves, and other forest floor bits around him and in his hair. He spit out the dirt that had caught on his tongue and cursed at the dragon that could no longer be seen. ”Damn you!” He coughed haggardly into the air, trying to catch his breath and bring his breathing back to normal. The fall had him landing on his chest and pushing most of the air out of his lungs. Another thing to be upset about.
He started to pull the leaves out of his hair when he looked up to see his damnable beast hovering above him. ”Why don’t you just leave me alone at this point? I mean really, you’ve gotten revenge, don’t you think?” Nuivian picked up a nearby rock and threw it in anger at the Ysali dragon, still sitting on the forest floor.
The dragon avoided the rock thrown with ease, and disappeared back into the forest. Nuivian stood, brushing himself off further and murmured a ”Good riddance” before turning to see how to get back up the slope. It would be a hard climb no doubt. Nuivian stopped at the sound of rustling behind him. What now? How could this day possibly get worse? He turned to face behind him, expecting to see the same dragon there. And he was partially right. When he turned he was faced with the dragon he had been chasing… and two others. So this was an ambush. Nuivian gulped hard, things had definitely taken a bitter turn for the worst. He squared up his shoulders, getting ready for what he assumed was to come next.

The three Ysali dragons hovered in the air in formation before landing on the ground and arching their backs, sizing up their opponent. Nuivian pulled his dagger from his robes and shifted on his feet to get a better grip for the assault. He might not win this fight, but he was going to do some damage, that he knew for sure. He wouldn’t go down without leaving his mark, much like he did with the first Ysali dragon. No doubt by the end of this every Ysali dragon in this forest would hate Nuivian.
The first dragon of the group, one of the two that his demon brought for backup charged at Nuivian and left him with a nasty bite mark, once more mucking another set of robes and causing him to bleed slightly. But Nuivian was able to come down with his dagger and slash at the beast as it had a hold of him. It retreated to the others and when it had regained formation the three came at Nuivian at once, launching the full extent of their attack. It would figure that Nuivian would have the unlucky chance of being jumped by dragons. He was never going to catch a break if this kept up. He crossed his arms, hoping to deflect some of the incoming attacks and charged forward, slashing at whatever he could blindly. He felt something catch his dagger and a cry pierce the air and before he knew it, it was over. Two of the dragons had flow away, leaving Nuivian there with his prize. One of the new Ysali dragons was on the ground, the dagger having caught it in the throat. It was dead. Nuivian had done it. He had killed a dragon. He almost couldn’t believe it. He looked down at his robes and grimaced. Of course. There goes another set of robes.
