It had been a while since Cosine had seen Xun, quite a long while. Now she thought about it it had been the day he had met the children. It seemed wrong that she had not seen her friend in so long, that she had slipped back into her old ways so easily. Too wrapped up in her children and her temple she had neglected her friends and even her family. How long since she had sought Echo out too?
It made her sad, the old Cosine wouldn't have cared, she didn't need people in her life, this one however ...
She had heard about Xun's antics with Nath and Ankou from the Valkyrie, it had made her laugh and she realised she had not laughed that much in a long time. It was all too easy to get sucked into the solemnity of their troubles. Feeling a little bit uplifted she walked down the hall to Xun's door and reached out to knock. She had never been in his rooms she realised.

It would be an aoide much like Anima that answered the door and led Cosine inside. Inside everything was wild and alive, and the sound of flowing water would betray the presence of a waterfall further back long before anyone could see it for the door.
As for Xun Jiang, he would be easy to find, though he might not be recognized at first. He had settled for a nap earlier, having ended up taking care of Lily's fussing for most of the night so that Whisteria could catch up on some sleep. It was hard to tell that anything about him had once been female. He was laying in the hammock, but bits and pieces seemed to stick out in all possible directions, as it was much too short for him. His tail spilled on one side and pooled up on the floor, tangled within it's own fan, to say nothing of the two large wings which drooped on both sides.
Or legs, really, whose large toes brushed the grass and wildflowers as the wind rocked him gently. That is, until Lindita spoke, and he moved to sit, yawning hugely. "Hnnn... What it is ?" If it was Takeru or Shen coming to bother him again, then he had half the idea to punt them into the lake right here and then.
It would prove, however, to be neither of those. He blinked. "Cosine ?"

Cosine loved the rooms the moment she stepped into them. The grass and water, all so natural much like the gardens of the Pantheon where she enjoyed spending a lot of her time, and her and Ankou's hidden grotto on Kurakami.
She followed her guide through to where someone she barely recognised, though knew to be the dragon king was happily lazing in a hammock. Well, it was all right for some. She thought with a bit of a smirk. "Xun?" She grinned, looking him over, seemed they had both changed since their last meeting. "It's been a while."

"It has been." Earfins would perk a little bit as he sat, and then finally stood. He was even taller than he used to be, unfortunately for the goddess. Though, to be honest, Xun Jiang drawfed not only her mate, but pretty much nearly everyone else.
"Is it about dunking your mate ?" He smirked. "He deserved it."

As she generally looked like a dwarf next to Ankou, looking up at Xun really hurt her neck. Was it really necessary to be so tall. She quite liked staying small, it was deceptive and gave people a false sense of security. His comment made her raise an eyebrow and she put her hands on her curvy hips in a mock gesture of anger. "How dare you Xun, I'm the only one allowed to humiliate him like that." Her frown turned into a conspirital smirk, "Next time make sure I'm there to see it."

Ha ! "Very well. I will make sure of it."
Surely Ankou would earn himself another smack eventually. He would laugh at the idea.
"So, what have you been up to lately ?" Hopefully it was less of a whirlwind than the one he had been caught into.

Cosine relaxed her stance and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, built a temple, evolved, as did you I see, have been running round after kids and trying to keep my husband from spiraling into a deep black pit of dispare and work. So really just trying to keep my family together."

"That sounds like quite the undertaking." Xun Jiang frowned. "And I apologize for pilling even work on him... But this needs taken care of. The Lich King is only one of the many problems Azeroth faces, and one I cannot deal with directly." Otherwise he would have done so himself. Though, he had little idea of what Cosine knew, or did not know. Figuring that much out was a nice place to start.

"Oooh so you're behind all of this?" She half teased. "I confess I know the bare minumum, I've been helping Ankou to research and I will be glad when it is done. I am worried about him. The lack of Nergal is taking its toll on him, he's trying to do too much and worrying about everything he cannot do." She poked at the soft, lush grass with her bare toes.

"You might want to sit down." Xun Jiang admitted, crouching down himself. "It is quite a long tale."
He would pause a moment, wondering how he could even begin to explain all this yet one more time. With the beginning, he assumed. "Azeroth is a world broken down by war and strife. You have the Alliance on one side and the Horde on another, and all they do is fight. Then you have the Burning Legion, ready to ream in as soon as they've weakened themselves enough. And you have the dragonflights, trying to keep the two sides from killing off each other. That would be me. Or well... Once upon a time. I was the one who created the dragonflights. But when their leader died... They spend much of their time fighting each other now." He sighed, earfins pinning back.
"I have to go these and seize back control. They breed and live in Northrend... Smack dab where the Lich King is. I need that continent clear so I can put some order back into the dragonflights. I do not know where the Lich King came from, or what created him. All I know is that we killed him once, but there still seem to be some sort of presence left. I cannot get rid of him permanently on my own." Perhaps only Ankou could.
"The blue dragonflight is in-fighting within itself. They rose against the mortal races once - if the mortals figure out that even one side is willing to do so again, then they will get squashed out. I have already lost two entiere flights. One to madness and the other to time." He sighed. "And that's only Northrend... There's three more continents full of bullshit. But I have to save it. There is something important there, but I cannot remember what it is."

Cosine sat down next to him and listened, she obviously had heard a lot about the Lich King but not about the reasons behind what they were all doing. "A great big mess then." She said softly. She was now worried about Xun putting himself in danger too. He was much more a brother to her than her own was. "How risky is it, what you plan to do, for gods like us?"

"I figure it depends on what is truly the underlaying problem on Azeroth." He could not pretend that he knew with any sort of certainly the complete truth of what was happening. He knew what Illisia had known, and what everyone else had told him. "I am not alone, though. There are others going with me." Her mate, first of all. "We will be alright. No matter what awaits, we will find strength in numbers." He rose her hand to kiss it, playfully. "So no worrying, hn ?"

Cosine smiled fondly at her friend as he kissed her hand and thought that over. "Strength in Numbers." An expression, though these days it seemed to be true for her. "It's hard not to to be honest. I've seen what happens when Gods disappear." She shook her head. "Caelia found out about Ankou's fears, she is a sneaky little thing, listening in on our conversations." Cosine rolled her eyes, though she had to smirk. "Oh! Though did you know there is another Underworld."

And he knew that very well. Perhaps even better than the goddess did, to be honest, but it was not something she needed to burden herself with.
"That does not surprise me. She has always been quite inquisitive." Wide-eyed and curious about everything. It applied to all three of them, though Caelia seemed to be the one who would push it further. The mention of another Underworld gave him pause. "I have not heard, no..."

Cosine nodded. Yep she was far too inquisitive, perhaps that came from her own nature, a thirst for knowledge combined with the confidence that the goddess had always lacked. "Yes, Ankou found her somewhere, a young woman is the host. We are hoping her rebirth will be a bit of a saviour, at the moment Ankou is doing the work of several gods."
