There was a persistently approaching beep-creature, but Simmy prodded it away from her each time it got within range, her attention clearly elsewhere. She sat crosslegged on the ground, chin resting in one hand, weapon loosely held in the other. "I'm sorry you can't handle the events," she mumbled, poking it again with a frown. "Maybe you could try harder next time." She looked lonely. There was something very disturbing following him ever since the last blessing he'd received from the goddess. Something that taunted him, beckoned him; informed him of just how incomplete he was. You're running on empty, it whispered. You're out of gas. You're nothing, nothing, nothing - He craved an end to the ache that had started to build up inside of him. The arena seemed like the most natural choice of where to go. Fighting always made him feel better. In fact, as soon as he managed to find a monster to hit, he realized that Simmy was there, looking for her own relief. So he unleashed his freshly made weapon, still clean from a lack of fight, and slammed it down on the screen of the monster before turning to sate himself with the sight of her. "It's been too long." It had only been a few minutes. OOC Name of character: Trebor Damage done: 4 CURRENT HP OF BOSS: 23 Current HP: 35/40 Special ability: Queens Chosen: You can choose three times every battle encounter to double your attack for that turn. This cannot be stacked with other x2 effects. The max attack power you can have is x2 the original damage you do. This can only be used on melee attack dice and not special weapon effects (under the special effect sign). The attack doubled caps at 20 damage (ie: if multiplied x2 I do 24 damage, it rounds to 20) Example: I roll for 12 damage. I choose to double my attack. I do 24 damage that turn. I can use this two more times in that battle encounter. Current weapon equipped: Despair's RazorTARGET: Boss

Loneliness was beginning to feel a little strange...almost like she wanted it, which was just about the worst feeling she could ever imagine. The next jab at the creature made it move way more than the last ones had; confused, Simmy glanced up to try and figure out why, her disinterested frown shifting in favor of a smile. He found her! Hopefully he hadn't seen that. "It has beennnn," she whined, flopping onto her back. "Maybe could we just, like...never get separated." She kept her eye on both Trebor and the creature with her head turned slightly to the side, colorless hair splayed sloppily around her. "Wait!" Squinting, she tried to get a better look at the weapon he carried. "Is that new? I like it! Wow, I wish I had that one!" "Yeah, it's new." He didn't seem as tempted to show it off to her as he'd been before. He just used it to cleave a mighty cut right through the monsters face. Sparks and ichor began to escape in its wake. When he pulled away, he looked down for a moment, his brows furrowing as he tried to figure something out. It looked like he was doing some complicated thinking. But for him.. that could mean anything. When he looked up at her again, his hand was held out, palm facing up. "Is that what you want?" "Well, it's nice!" The spear Simmy had carried since she first held a weapon was beginning to feel a little outdated, but she stabbed at the creature anyway, not wanting to disappoint him. "Yeah," she said, and it startled her when she didn't sound as thrilled as she meant to. It couldn't be left that way. " Yes, that's what I want. A lot!" Smile softening, she reached towards him, leaving her fingertips an inch apart. When she spoke, her words had softened too, restrained by doubts that half-memories only served to worsen. "You mean it, though, right? You're not gonna just...um, I don't know. It's not a trick? I don't like tricks!" Her fingers found his hand, but instead of using it to help herself up, she tried to pull him down beside her. Loffie effectively separated them both with a disdainful glare as he stalked his way towards the monster, and booted it square in the face. As soon as she started to doubt herself, the worry and confusion in Trebor's face melted away. This was what he was looking for. This was exactly what he was meant to do. He let her pull him down - No, no he didn't, because some idiot slammed himself between them, ruining the moment with his perfect timing. Trebor glared at the guy's back for a while, as he wondered just how well his new weapon might work against a fellow shadow, but he still felt the ghost of her fingertips on his hand. So he turned back to her, and let her pull him down. But only long enough to pull her into his arm. "It ain't no trick." He assured her. "If you want me to stick around, I'll be here." He bent in, and pressed his face against her hair. "I promise." She smelled familiar. He took in a deep, cleansing breath, and let it soothe any last remaining doubts. "Come on." He whispered, picking her up off the ground again and walking off with her like a prize. "It's you and me, now."

Someone that Simmy didn't recognize was briefly in her line of sight, glaring and destroying and scavenging all in the short moment that she tried to think of what to say to him. All she managed was a little wave to his back that he wouldn't see, and she did her best to not linger on the realization that greetings didn't come so easily now. "If you promise..." The sound of a smile was in her voice. "I think we're going to be all right. I can feel it! Right here!" She tapped her glowing yellow heart and intended to let her hand rest there for a while, but as she settled next to him, tucked beneath the safety of his arm, and felt his face against her hair, her palm went flat against the glow as if it were trying to keep it from bursting. This was new and exciting and uncharted territory to fend away loneliness and contribute to her purpose and know what it meant to love and be loved, and she'd expected to have that burst of faint recognition and need and acceptance, looked forward to it, but... It felt like she had done this before.
