the lights dim slightly in the arena as the ever familiar chords of Down with the Sickness by Disturbed hits the PA.
Can you feel that?
The fans look to the entrance as all along the ramp mechanical torches are raised. The music is familiar, and the die hards in the audience that have lighters light them.
Oh wah ah ah ah!
Flames burst up on the stage and the crowd erupts in cheers as Jarel Damone steps out onto the stage and stands, looking out into the sea of fans who hadn't seen him in over a year now. He's dressed in his usual jeans and a sleeveless shirt, complete with his gloves but forgoing the usual coats or vests. The torches on the ramp shoot flames periodically in time with the beat of the music and the Dragon begins to make his way to the ring.
Drowning deep in my sea of loathing
Broken your servant I kneel

It seems what's left of my human side
Is slowly changing ... in me
(Will you give in to me?)
Jarel makes his way down the ramp, stopping on occasion to slap a fan's hand.
Looking at my own reflection
When suddenly it changes

Jarel stops at the end of the ramp, looking around the ringside area and into the rafters.
Get up, come on get down with the sickness

Madness is the gift, that has been given to me
The Dragon steps up onto the apron, eyes looking up to the rafters still as the silver Dragon symbol is lowered to the ring.
I can see inside you, the sickness is rising
Don't try to deny what you feel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems that all that was good has died
And is decaying in me
(Will you give in to me?)
Stepping in over the top rope, Jarel walks to the center of the ring and watches as the symbol comes to a stop a few feet above the ring.
It seems you're having some trouble
In dealing with these changes
Living with these changes
Oh no, the world is a scary place
Now that you've woken up the demon ... in me
As the chorus hits again, Jarel turns away from the symbol towards the fans and raises his fist in his usual taunt. Flames burst up from the turnbuckle and the symbol lights up as the fans continue to cheer. The symbol rises back into the rafters as Jarel lowers his fist and the music slowly fades out.

((Oh yeah back on Tuesdays again!)) The crowd is brought into a frenzy as 'Land of Hope and Glory' hits the arena and out comes the greatest champion in LWL history, King Kartwright! He drives into the arena on his motorized plastic throne. He is wearing a paper crown on his head and has the LWL Totally Awesome Championship around his neck, wearing it like a necklace. His driving is terrible as the throne careers from left to right, nearly crashing into the barricade and the ring a few times as he drives around it like Biker 'Taker did back in the day. Finally Kartwright gets up off the throne and enters the ring very regally as he wipes his feet on the apron before entering. Kartwright carefully hands the paper crown to the referee first and then his Totally Awesome Championship. He looked across the ring at his old nemesis, Jarel Damone. He hasn't seen Jarel in the ring for years! God this guy has aged terribly! And he didn't look good to begin with! Man! The King hopes that he doesn't look that bad when he reaches sixty years old like Jarel is! Kartwright liked Jarel's theme music, but it was nowhere near as classy or Totally Awesome as his is! Tonight it will be down with the sickness, the sickness that is Damone-itis! Yeah! The bands name was disturbed and that's exactly what Jarel will be when Kartwright is done whipping his dragon-arse all the way around this arena in this Hardcore Rules Match!

since their final competitor has yet to show, Jarel has Kartright all to himself, and without waiting too long, he springs forward and attempts to take the champion to the mat with a spear, not accepting the draw they'd fought to the previous week

The King had to work hard for that draw! It was a good draw! Everyone loves draws in Hardcore matches! It should totally become a thing! Kartwright knooows that The Dragon must still be fuming about it and The King likes that, because it means Jarel does silly things thanks to his rage like charging towards him in plain view! Kartwright sidesteps the spear and as Jarel tries to get up, he attempts a series of Daniel Bryan style chest kicks to him!

missing the spear, Jarel catches himself on the ropes, then turns, right into a kick to the chest. A few more connect with the Dragon's chest before he reaches up to grab Kartwright's leg. with the crowd cheering, jarel shakes his head and attempts to take Kartwright's head off with a clothesline

Ah no! Caught! Kartwright hops on one leg as Jarel clings on to the other leg and smacks him with a clothesline! The King rolls out of the ring to safety!

there is no safety for Kartwright. the match hasn't started yet and even if it had, hardcore rules are Jarel's specialty. As such the Dragon goes out of the ring after him and attempts to pull the self proclaimed King Kartwright to his feet, then irish whip him into the steel stairs.
(by the way, i just realized we both got one part of our promos wrong. i could've sworn this match said draven and now says claire)

((We have been cheated and lied to Jarel! surprised )) Jarel grabs Kartwright and whips him with great strength towards the steel steps! Kartwright uses the momentum to do a front flip over the steps, dazzling the crowd with his athleticism!

Jarel moves forward and goes to kick the stairs towards Kartwright after his little display. Will it hurt? possibly, but one has to slow this champion down in order to pin him

((We just can't help it! It's what we do! cool )) Bloody hell! Jarel kicks the steps towards Kartwright like they don't weight anything at all! The King has to cartwheel backwards to narrowly avoid it, damn The Dragon is making him work hard! Kartwright grabs a steel chair from a very friendly fan who was clearly just trying to help and didn't want to see any violence at all!

Jarel continues forward. This game seems all too familiar, and as another friendly fan holds out a chair, Jarel takes it as well before continuing forward.
"Where's all your big talk now, Karty? Playing field is even."
Is the taunt necessary? No, but half of the things Jarel has in mind for this match aren't necessary. They're just fun

Big talk from the big man, well....umm....he is a big man so...fair enough. Damn it!
Kartwright raises his chair up, it looks like the two are going to start dueling with the chairs! The King is smart and has other ideas however as he aims the chair low suddenly from his stance, aiming to strike the side of Jarel's left leg!

Jarel raises the chair and swings high, aiming for Kartwright's head. Unfortunately, Kartwright swings low, connecting with Jarel's left thigh and forcing the dragon to stumble back

The swerve tactic worked for The King! He should probably try to take advantage of a stumbling Dragon, which is a rare sight indeed! Kartwright points the chair towards Jarel's knee and tries to thrust it forward into it!
