Not just any beach, the one she had lived on as a very small child. She could hear the crashing of the waves and the screeching of the sea gulls up above her head. There was laughter and music in the air from both locals and tourists both mingling and enjoying the warm breeze and crystal waters. Somewhere, she could smell spices in the distance from her family's restaurant that had been passed down in her father's family for generations...
And then it was cold. The scene replaced by sky scrapers and people to busy with their own lives to notice the girl sitting on the ground, barefoot and confused. where was she? What was happening? Where was her mom? Her dad? her--
Cherelle's steel eyes shot open and she squinted for a moment as she looked into the phosphorescent light above her. She had recognized where she had been in her dream.... So now where the hell was she in real life? She picked herself off the cold, hard ground and looked around. A cafeteria? Ugh, a school cafeteria. One glance around and she could just tell this had to be a school's cafeteria. But what school? Wasn't it still one day before-- Oh, wait, no. That's right. It was a day before classes started, but that was why she had come to this one. She had packed her things and had her parents drop it off to the room she would live in as she attended the privileged Hope's Peak academy. She, on the other hand, had chosen to spend an hour early in the morning to scout the area. Not a bad area. The stores had been nice enough, and what few people that had been out were friendly enough, if not skeptical of seeing someone stalking the area while riding their motorcycle. Why wouldn't they? This school got all sorts of stdents coming here, including gang leaders. They probably mistook the chef for someone trying to either recruit for a gang or trying to find a Super High School Level Biker to challenge....
Pfft.
She let out a slight, sarcastic laugh with a small shake of the head. Super High School Level. Who thought of this s**t? God, it sounded so pretentious, and yet here she had come as a Super High School Level Chef. Her first thought had been that it was some sort of a stupid joke until she actually stalked the web and saw fan threads dedicated to seeing who would be the next crop of "SHSL"s to enter the academy. Needless to say, she was uncomfortable seeing her name there on the list before she even knew if she was going or not. Still... It had promises to make her famous beyond all reason. It might even help her in her dreams. Why the ******** not? She accepted the invitation and then came here to the school so she could partake in orientation.
Although.... She didn't remember ever having come to the cafeteria. Come to think of it, hadn't she taken two steps through the front door before passing out. Either she suddenly developed some pretty wicked blood sugar, or someone somewhere was punking her. Great. Day one of this school of weirdos, and some upper-class man with a thing for sleeping gas was messing with her. "Way to greet the freshmen, guys," she huffed to herself. Still... Where was everyone? No one had yet to jump out of hiding. She couldn't even see any other students around. So what was happening?
She brought herself off the ground and dusted off her clothes. Should she investigate, or wait for the person behind this to show up? She looked to the clock and saw the time. Weren't ll the freshmen supposed to gather in the entrance at 8:30 in the morning today? Well, it was still early, so she could give herself a little bit of time to explore if she really wanted to... Light blue eyes opened a little wider as she entered the cafeteria, surprised to see someone else so soon. Her smile brightened up acting as her "happy tail" dogs tend to get when they finally see their person after a whole day without them, "Oh, hello! Good morning miss. Hmm.. Well I think its morning.." Her voice started out cheerfully excited and slowly trailed off toward the end as she realized she had no idea what time it was or how long she had been out. Oops.. So should have thought that out more.. Then it hit her. Oh crap, I just called her miss! No one says that anymore, not high school students or anyone other than perverted old men! Her smile faded some as she started to bite her lower lip, it was already a little bloody from how anxious she had been ever since she first got the letter from Hope's Peak. The left side of her bottom lip was given no mercy, it had suffered the whole car ride here. Apart of her tried to stop it knowing it'd really sting later if she didn't give it a break, her nerves got the better of her though. Poor li'l lip didn't stand a chance.
"It is still morning, isn't it?" She asked a little more shyly than before; still very embarrassed from calling her miss and finally realizing she had been acting so strangely in front of a total stranger. Well it could have gone worse.. I guess.. As she waited for any sort of response from the woman her mind started to wonder, not helping her already nervous self. Why couldn't I have just said hello, ask about the lost and found. Anything else! Anything more normal would have been better. Well, it is a high class school, so maybe calling her miss will be okay..?
Her strange train of thoughts calmed her mind down enough to leave her poor lip alone, curving her reddening lips up into a slight smile. "Oh, and do you know where the lost and found is? I'm a little lost.." As proof of her spending too much time watching anime, with her friends of course, she began to scratch the back of her head with her dominant right hand. She quickly brought her arm down as she noticed how cheesy of an action it was, she was already acting off she didn't need to make it any worse for herself. Just breath normally and relax, geez you're an idiot. Breathing shouldn't be difficult. Just in.. and out.. As her breathing became more normal she began to feel calmer, well calm enough to let her brain work out why she was acting so odd. A slight blush crept over her cheeks. What a woman! She's lovely~ She eyed up the woman before her, obviously enjoying the curves but trying not to stare too much at them. I hope she has a nice a** to go with those curves~ Oh wait, face, have to look at her face before she thinks I'm a pervert! Well it had probably been too late for that, but being thought of as a pervert by her wouldn't be so bad. At least its the truth,she did enjoy some perverted things. Nothing bad of course, just harmless things. Her more cheerful excitement from earlier finally made its way back, who wouldn't get excited for a beauty like her? Tall, dark and curvy, what could be better? Well other than a nice a** to follow. God did she hope the woman had a nice a** to go with those curves. Where am I?: Just entered the Cafeteria through the Kitchen. {{ooc: Yes, the chef is doomed to at least be hit on by all my girls. <3}}

Sure enough, someone emerged from the door, looking happy and excited to see her. Someone she knew? Doubt it. Most of the people she knew were upitty little prats and bitches with over-indulging parents and a mightier-than-thou personality... You know, until they get a cigarette butt to the face. Then suddenly they got offended and pouty and didn't want you anywhere near them. As this girl called her miss, however, she raised an eyebrow coolly, her expression emotionless and indifferent as usual. Still, she had to admit, she liked the slight feeling of someone looking up to her... in a way other than literally looking up to her. The best part was the lack of a stalker fan vibe. Just respect.
A small, approving smirk spread on the chef's face. "You don't have to use titles with me. At least, not ones you would use as upper class men. I know I don't look it, but I'm a part of the freshman class this year."
Cherelle shoved her hands into her pockets and blinked in surprise. She groped around before yanking her hands out and going for one of the other pockets of her pants. She could deal without her cellphone for a little bit since she was usually plagued with fan texts and voice mails from the sous chef she left in charge while she was away at school, but she found her pack of smokes were gone.... And she had only smoked one of the cigarettes within the package.
She narrowed her eyes at the ground and huffed heavily. Who the hell steals cellphones and cigarettes from unconscious students? She had planned to make a better habit of not smoking in class at this school since she actually had kind of a desire to be here, but at least let her have the weight in her pocket so that in between classes or before and after school she could have a smoke break....
She came back to reality when she heard something about being lost. She looked back up to the blond chick in front of her and gave a one-shouldered shrug. "Eh. Same. I kind of just woke up.... I'll take a guess that we're in the cafeteria, and from the lack of cranky old bats shooing us out, it's 8:23 in the morning," she said, pointing to the clock hanging just over where it looked like the food was supposed to be served directly from the kitchen. Although, something was off.... Even if the orientation thing was supposed to be at 8:30, shouldn't there be sign that there had been people here this morning for breakfast? She remembered during her exploration of the campus before coming to the main building that there were multiple buildings, each catered to different needs. If she recalled, this main building held the core classes of all students, and then there were buildings where second year and up students could focus on specific skills and job sets, even if it was one that they had not been invited to in the first place. Still, where was the lingering scent of this morning's breakfast? Where were the sounds of dishes being washed? Shouldn't someone be busting tables or something? Hell, it technically wasn't even the first day, so it wouldn't have even been unusual to see one or two students lingering here and catching up after break. But there was nothing but these two girls who had never met before in the cafeteria.... And from how the blond had acted, there had also not been anyone in the kitchen as well...
Cherelle frowned and crossed her arms, looking at the clock in thought. The minutes ticked on, but she wasn't too concerned with making it to the meeting on time. She was almost always late for these sort of things any ways, why change now? Still, the girl mentioning lost and found did have a point in them needing to find their things. Cherelle was missing more than just her cigarettes and cellphone... She had brought a rather nice and expensive knife set to school with her. Lord knows someone somewhere was probably doing something stupid with it and would end up cutting a finger off or something-- what with how sharp she always made sure to keep the blades.
"We should find the school entrance. Maybe that stupid orientation thing will ave teachers or upper class men handing out maps and s**t." The tall woman turned and started for the door. She had just about gotten out when she paused and turned around. "Oh, yeah. I guess I should at least introduce myself. The name is Cherelle Lourencea-- one of the top chefs in the world and the new..." she wrinkled her nose and reluctantly said, "Super High School Level Chef..." God, that sounded so tacky... But it was better than "super duper level". God, that one could induce chills... "I think I hear someone just out in the hall here. Let's go find them, and then you can tell me your name and stuff." With her mind finally at ease over the "miss" thing she relaxed, well not that anyone outside of her mind could tell. I guess the miss slipping out was okay, she didn't seem to mind. She thought happily, not wanting to screw things up with the first beauty she came across. It'd make their future classes together very awkward if things went wrong. "I am to, a freshman I mean. I didn't mean it like you look older or anything, you look young to me. You look very lovely, only a total idiot would think you're older." Her smile stayed in place as she worried over what she had said, wondering if she had gone too far with the compliment. Probably should hold back on some of the compliments before she thinks I'm some weirdo just trying to hit on her.. I am weird.. But that's beside the point.
Her head tilted some as she watched the girl search her pockets, I guess she's missing something to, maybe we were both pranked? She was about to ask the woman if she was missing some things to, but it was confirmed before she could even open her mouth. "Same here, I just woke up in there." She pointed back at the kitchen door, "Some jerk must have knocked us out as some prank or something, not sure how its funny though.. I wonder if they did this to everyone then? Or who knows, maybe we're just lucky." She said sarcastically. Super high school level good luck my a**. Speaking of asses, the lovey lady before her had the a** of her dreams; not too firm but not all saggy. A perfect blend leaving this little pervert very happy.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about anyone here, I was alone in the kitchen. I even had a snack a few minutes ago and no one has come yet to yell about it. Maybe they have the day off or something?" She glanced to where the woman had pointed, now getting why she had stated the time rather than just saying it was before school. When she mentioned the time the blond started to get a nagging feeling like she was forgetting something important, but oh well, must not be important if she can't even remember it. She decided to ignore the feeling until later, althought that later never did have to come after all. Maybe this "good luck" thing is real? Other than the prank stuff all my answers have come right after I wonder about them. Who knows maybe things won't be so bad here?
"Sounds good to me, I totally forgot about the orientation.." She began to follow the woman out, enjoying the view then quickly looked back up to the woman's face as she turned back to her and spoke again. The sudden turn and the panic of almost being caught did make her somewhat nervous, feeling more like a mouse hanging around a cat's food bowl than a woman following another woman. As the woman, now known as Cherelle the top chef, spoke she calmed herself down again. I'll have to tell her about the stuff in the kitchen, well some other time maybe. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of those weird things in there, who has spiky food anyways? It looked more like a fire ball than something you eat.. She laughed softly at the face Cherelle had made saying her super high school level title,"You have a nice name, Cherelle, I like it. And super high school level chef sounds a lot better than super high school level good luck." She sighed quietly, "At least you get a title for a person, mine is just a thing. More like emotions and that stuff, chefs are real but who knows if luck is good or bad? Or even if its real? Either way, I am just here because of luck, good or bad I guess we'll see. So far I'd say its good, I mean we got to meet so it can't be all bad." She laughed some more, realizing how cheesy it all sounded. "I didn't mean it to come out so cheesy, but I guess a lot of things in this school are like that. At least something is constant." Following the chef's orders she'd wait to introduce herself until after they find whoever she had heard, but even though she was told to wait she still felt a little rude not telling her her own name yet. Where am I?: Leaving the cafeteria, heading into the living area hallway. {{ooc: By the way, she's thinking about a dragon fruit in the last paragraph. Those things look so weird. XD}}
