Bischofite sighed sullenly, eyes downcast past the lasting visage of the trees. Shadows scattered across the ground. Hair fragmented his vision in minute black strands. How strange that the world still maintained its nuances of serenity, even through the boiling, turbulent thoughts clawing at his already erratic mind. Yet still, the leaves swirled in the smooth fingers of a breeze, carried about the sickly lamplight. Shadows skittered across the ground as roaches across a shattered plate.
This world rotted from the inside out.
To eat. To drink. To feel.
All these pieces, a part of being human. Plagued by the lot.
The park remained dismal, almost foreboding in the darker night. Clouds obscured the stars, their heavy stares now cauterized blind with water-smoke. Each piece of equipment stood stale in the blackened grass, a fixture in a now barren surrounding. Normally they remained empty. Normally they watched wordlessly.
Normally he didn't have company.
With the detriments of humanity still coloring his thoughts, he approached the lone figure framed between a pair of chains. Who was this? It felt like...
Remarque. He snarled heavily.
But it wasn't Remarque. The dismal light cast little clarity on the matter, but he could discern swaths of hair and a flowing outfit far different from the scourge that stood spectator to his corruption. No, this was one of his brood - some stupid child that meandered every bit as lost as him. And perhaps, that was their only similarity, for he yearned desperately to cure himself of the human ailment.
Bischofite didn't bother to speak for a long time. He drifted past the roundabout, fingers brushing the painted edge of the handles. He ducked beneath the monkey bars, etched metal brushing his tousled hair. He skirted the slide, scraping his nails across its rough plastic surface. Yet still, she sat, complacent in her time on the swings.
Her, so serene while he thrashed under his very existence. How... Quaint.
"You," his voice came ragged, tainted with a heavy accent. "You're part of Remarque's court, are you not? Tell me - why ze hell are you wis' zat prattling fool?" Were it not for the Negaverse meeting, he probably wouldn't have assailed her so - but the growing ineptitude of the court proved the uselessness of the man considered the face of it. Metallia was right to sever such an alliance - they were nothing more than dirt.
Perhaps they had more in common after all.

In an effort to get her to feel much better, it was high time she hung out at her old haunt. No one was at her favorite park this time of night. Not even those wacky teenagers who wanted to get a few shenanigans in before going back to school were there. And so she sat her sailor fuku'd butt on one of those swings and swung away-- er, toned those legs and thighs because that was important training. Whheeeeeeee~ This was way too much fun. She determined, when she felt the Chaos aura coming her way, that she would continue to have fun because DAMMIT THIS WAS HER DAY. Or had it been there all along? Augh, don't worry about it just swiiiiing. And then there came a face with the aura, and a very distinct accent, both incredibly grumpy sounding. Things sounded like they could get ugly, ugly fast. "Well, because some Queen lady did some weird thing with my starseed and because Remarque is my friend, I guess. I dunno." She continued swinging. Was he trying to ruin her good mood mojo here COME ON.

She even sounded like a petulant child. Small wonder he found her sitting on a swing set.
If only he possessed such a simple view of his affairs - were that the case, he wouldn't be stumbling around the city in a seething haze. He wouldn't face his core foundation with such unerring disdain and disgust. No, he would behave much like the rest of the populace, unquestioning in who he is and far more interested in what he does. Surely she wasn't so different; considering her oversimplified explanation, he highly doubted she considered anything past the most apparent truths.
"Are you really so vapid, child?" Bischofite approached the swing set and stopped adjacent to one of its poles. He ran his fingers along the hollow metal rods, as if they might crumble at his touch.
Nothing would. Not even her.
"To sink everysing is so easy..." He felt his lip twitch in an attempt to snark. Golden eyes focused on the offending target - the girl wore swaths of vibrant pink air, adorned with a curiously frilly accessory atop its volume. Even her fuku sported the same billowing style - not quite form-fitting, yet sultry enough to tease. It was as if the court elected to wear smoke, far too ethereal to belong in this dimension. He thought the same of Remarque on that fateful day, containing his eldritch creatures and watching from afar, like he hardly existed in that fragment of reality. Maybe all of them had that effect... Maybe the Court lacked a true corporeal presence.
And it made since to think that this child, of little substance and inhibition, wasn't quite present in his reality. Then again, was anyone? No - he needn't traverse this path, as he was loathe to consider his current standings in existence.
Suddenly his day reclaimed a sickly glimmer of light. He smiled thinly, though it still lacked the iniquitous mirth from long ago - when humanity wasn't such a crime. "If he is your friend, zen how far will you go to defend him?"Ryndilee bisch says: ihu remarque Q_Q

Vapid... VAPID? Oh NO he did NOT just say that. Obviously her happy or try to be happy night was about to turn as sour as this sour puss dangerous guy right here. She stopped pumping her legs as he went on. Regardless of what he said, she wouldn't get angry. She had a strict policy of not getting angry. Once he asked her about Remarque, she hopped off the swing and stared at him. Was this guy for real? Yeah, probably. He was looking for a fight. "Loooook Mister Sourpuss Grumpypants, I don't know what your problem is, but no. No, I'm not really so vapid. And no, no I don't think everything is so easy. I just wanted a nice time at the swing set so I wouldn't be as tired and horribly yucky as you are. YEAH, girl's got problems too. Everything isn't so EASY and HUNKYDORY. "What did Remarque do to you? I'm not like a super psychic and don't have the guy on my radar 24/7, but under my philosophy - or what USED to be my philosophy - the best thing to do is to just hug it out. But you know what? Y'know, that would be cool and all, but when you're like the lost little lamb of the big mirror court of chaos, you really don't know who to trust or talk to. So please EXCUSE ME when I say 'yeah, I met a mirror lady who said one thing but didn't say what ELSE it meant maybe she lied I DUNNO'. "Just leave me alone and hug Remarque and kiss him already. Jerk."

It figured that he chatted with a child - her diction proved it. His countenance crossed into muddled ground between a grimace and a sneer as he shifted his gaze to the sky, eyes alight with frustration and inner turmoil. This was how it was supposed to be, wasn't it?
"If you weren't so vapid, you wouldn't act it, girl. You still sit on a swing as a child does, as if you're retreating to your early memories for some semblance of relief. I'm not stupid," he started as he shifted his attention to her fully, "and I can tell what ze lost look like. I'f seen zem all over ze Rift, not zat you'f been zere yourself." Slowly he approached her, stopping merely a foot away before examining her unabashedly. Though childish, she appeared not terribly far from his age. Maybe sixteen, maybe seventeen. It didn't matter much, did it? Between her pink hair and her pink eyes and her pink outfit stained with a splash of black, she looked like the epitome of childhood worn far too long.
"You want to know what Remarque did to me?" He asked, his tone eerily quiet. "Simple - very simple." He leaned in close, until he watched her at eye level - gold to vibrant pink. "You see how I am now? You see zis s**t staining my face? You see zis strange uniform? He is ze reason zis happened to me. On one hand I should sank him, because I wouldn't haf' seen ze world in such a strange and surreal way. But on ze ozzer hand..." Bischofite clicked his tongue and diverted his sight to the empty roundabout. "He couldn't keep his ******** toys in check, could he? Zose strange monsters, ze incorporeal ones your kind employ, it attacked me. He was zere, he could'f done somesing about it. But since he chose to stand idly by wis' his sumbs up his arse, Bischofite was born."
Once again he regarded the girl with absolute coldness. "He didn't do a damn sing to stop it."
Still, Bischofite smiled. It splintered across his face, as if cracking to expose some iniquitous intent beneath. "And you know what? I decided I'll repay him in my own way. And I'll start... Wis' you." He finished his sentence in a hushed whisper before abruptly straightening up.
His ominously calm demeanor faded, replaced with utter derision. "Maybe if you ask nicely, I'll gif' you a head start." Soon afterward he summoned his weapons.

She stared. She just... stared. Aurora wasn't exactly sure what to do at the moment, nor was too sure on what to think. Remarque.. hadn't helped him? "If it were me, I would have tried to do something," she mumbled. "I would have tried to at least distract it so you could run away.." Those were her thoughts, spoken aloud. Did the Negaverse agents not know that they couldn't even control their wraiths? That something went wrong? Maybe he didn't know. Had he known, maybe he would have seen Remarque in a better light. The Remarque she knew wouldn't have just let that happen! Honest! Right? But this guy was still looking for a fight. The girl backed away and sighed, holding up her sleeve-covered arms as if trying to make peace with him. "Look, I've been to the Rift. It's... . And I'm sorry for what the wraiths did to you." You still sit on a swing as a child does, as if you're retreating to your early memories for some semblance of relief. As his words crossed her mind again, the corner of her mouth twitched. She didn't ask nicely. She just blew him a kiss. " Aurora Lovelove Ensnare!"And while he'd feel all good and warm and lovey about himself, she'd just find a good place to jump up and hide in the trees. Quote: Aurora blows a kiss at the target, ensnaring them in her trap. The victim feels a warm, euphoric sensation as they gaze back upon the senshi of romance. Colors are brighter for them, smells oh so much sweeter, and the world becomes their oyster as they feel absolutely great about themselves. This works as a temporary stunning attack, as the victim spends the first few seconds lost in their drowsy euphoria.

Most enemies knew when to take a cue and run. And most did, perhaps knowing he was loathe to give chase. But this one, this meek little girl, stood in defiance of him - instead, she mocked him in his serious demeanor and blew him a kiss, coupled with a meaningless phrase.
Yet he didn't rebuke her nearly anachronistic motives.
Euphoria sprawled its veins into the deepest reaches of his body, through his tongue and lungs and heart, as it searched to pierce his center of reality, to break him from the ivory dreams that threatened to drown him. And in that moment, those fractured skeins and cords of feelings long perished had laced themselves throughout his existence. And for the first time since he could remember, he felt
flawless.
Was this her magic? How could someone so petite and childlike wield such sway over her enemies? As he stood wholly enthralled with the world - the cool breeze against his skin, the faded lilac scent enveloping his sense of smell, the night's quiet colors entreating his gaze - he realized he encountered a power he had no means of refuting. Suddenly the visceral need to assume the form of a youma vanished from his mind, along with the yearning for blood and sacrifice. No longer did he have to siege the world to recoup a measure of stability.
The sound of her voice stained his ears and he felt compelled to seek her out once more - if not to thank her for her minute revelations, then to silence that power absolutely.
But she was nowhere to be found.
And when one of the chakrams slipped from his hand, impacting the ground with an unceremonious clink, Bischofite roused himself from such petulant thoughts. He was no different than Remarque by standing around like that; soon afterward, he stooped and reclaimed his weapon, readying it for the coming hunt. Her signature still lingered in the area, but he lacked the finesse to detect its exact location.
And when the hum of vivid emotion faded from him, his current state felt almost monochrome by comparison.

Inwardly she bopped herself for forgetting to use her other magical attack, the one that would, oh I dunno, make him listen to her. Next time, she told herself. Next time. The tree's foliage kept her mostly hidden and safe... for now. But how long would that last? Why hadn't she just run off and not looked back? It's said curiosity killed the cat. She wanted to know... She MUST know.. What happened between Remarque and this guy? Aside from a deadly lovers' spat, that is. And in order to know that, she would have to fight him. Luckily she had worked out a bit! ... probably not enough but OPTIMISM. As quietly and carefully as she could manage, she snapped a branch from her hiding space. If anything else, she could at least poke the guy's eye in a pinch. Ahaha... haha... ha.

A single snap commanded his attention so wholly that his thoughts cleared and his head snapped in its direction. Was she hiding there, or perhaps an animal left a small misstep in its wake? The trees offered no answers themselves - still thick with foliage, they barred his prying eyes from piercing their thick guise. He would have to investigate himself.
Slowly, languidly he approached the edge of the woods, even offering a slight stretch. As his arms returned to his sides, he spoke to the trees in uniform softness. "How much do you sink it'll take, little girl? Do you suppose he'll cry if I tear your rotational cuffs? Will he lash out in anger if I fracture your radius? Would he seek me out if I shattered your ribs into your lungs, and every breath drew bright, bubbling blood? How much damage might you sustain before he takes heed of my calls to action?" Bischofite froze and let out a low, whistling, cracked and coughing laugh. "I'm only assuming he cares about his teammates. For all I know, you're one he hates. One he despises. One he regrets letting into his exclusif' little Court,"
So he leapt into the trees, a fair distance from her. On every protruding branch, he made his approach. Should she sit and wait for him, he would be upon her in a matter of seconds. And with those gleaming chakrams held tight in his grip, he wagered he'd excise a measure of flesh from her before the night blew over.
But how much would Remarque glean from the scene if he killed her? Very little, perhaps nothing. No, this one needed to live through this.

As he spoke, that night flashed back in the back of her mind. A woman dead, a child severely beaten near death. Blood. Everywhere was blood. Nothing but blood and anger and a young girl with her back flattened against the wall, unable even to cry for help. Staring into the eyes of a killer. Kin killing kin. At first she whimpered at these words and these images, horror and pain overtaking every part of her - body and soul. Kill.No... no no no nononono.. She was a good person. A good person.. Aurora shook her head and held it between her hands, almost cried out. A good person, albeit with a tainted soul. ... ******** she heard him come into the trees, she didn't even move. "A good person a good person a good person." She mouthed the words, but it was hard to believe them. Her face finally rose a bit, eyes dull and devoid of emotion. A good person. Some seconds later she jumped back down to the earth below and hid behind a tree. The stick was dropped. Now in her fist was a giant rock, hidden by the sleeves that covered her arms. She might at least injure him with it before she died. She was a good person... wasn't she?

He peered through leaves still chaste; her signature gave her away, but he was not yet the hunter he could've been. He stalked through branches but slipped on the lighter ones that couldn't yet support his weight. And as he crossed through more convoluted limbs, he found he couldn't retain his grip on his chakrams and assure himself of steady progress, so his weapons were soon dismissed in favor of a better grip.
But even as he passed closer to her position, to where he sensed her, he still hadn't caught a glimpse of that flowing dark fabric. That shock of pink hair. Those mild-mannered eyes.
So where was she now? Beneath him?
A precarious situation, to be certain. He could drop down and try to surprise her, but she was every bit as adept as he was at sensing power. Surely she was tipped off to his current location, so what would be the point of that? He could try to distract her, but found little at his disposal that might take her attention off a looming power signature.
And finally...
Bischofite summoned his chakrams with a stifled huff; every time he manifested those blades it felt like even more an effort than before. He carefully weaved the dulled weapon through the sweeping twigs and branches, until he managed a clear shot between the chakram and the ground. Afterward, he simply let it drop. He didn't have any time to wait now; Bischofite disappeared immediately afterward
and found himself in a dizzying new location next to the tree in question. He swung out against the trunk, hoping to catch the girl off guard (provided his other chakram had proven enough of a distraction), but given his current disoriented state, he might've just struck wood.Ryndilee damn i am so sorry, i missed this!
