Telrunya's port was bustling with busy Avalon Fairies and Pae'il, likely the most activity the port had seen since officially opening for through traffic and business. Trade ships had begun docking to sell their goods, but today, the largest dock held an enormous cruise ship. From the outside, it glistened in the sunlight, its brilliant white paint nearly blinding if stared at directly for too long. One could only imagine what luxury lay within.
A long gangplank lead from the dock to the ship, and energetic Avalon Fairies zipped to and fro, greeting and directing the Pae'il who arrived for their cruise where to board. As each passenger arrived, they'd find themselves greeted politely by a grinning Fairy wearing nautical-themed, button-up jackets, pleated pants, and even a tiny hat.
"Greetings! Welcome to the T.S.S. Paradise! We have rooms ready for each of our esteemed guests, and if you require any personal touches for your room, please let one of our staff know, and we will do our best to make you feel completely at home. If you will just proceed up to the ship, one of our stewards will show you to your room and see if there is anything else you require. Thank you for choosing to vacation with Telrunya Travels; have a pleasant, relaxing trip!"
Each Pae'il will be directed to a simple, but welcoming room with all the basic, modern necessities: bed, bathroom with shower, etc. Special requests may be made to the Avalon stewards for small luxury items to give their room a personal touch and help them feel more at home. Food and drink are available on request, and normal meal services will open once the cruise has officially begun.
(NOTE: Pae'il do not have to pair up with their OOC-assigned partners at this time. They are free to show up, board the ship, and wait for the cruise to begin. The scenario will make it clear when the partnering portion of the event is to begin. You may RP in here for now while we get things started.)

Elizabeth still isn't sure about this whole 'vacation' thing. But perhaps it would be good for her. She'd taken some time off from her job in the City, and maybe it would be good for Ruya to have a sort of...trial separation period. See how she handles herself on her own. Elizabeth runs her hands through her hair. This had always been the most difficult part of parenting. It was with Kieran and it is with Ruya. Letting them have a little independence. She knows it's necessary if they're to learn to be functional adults, but it's so hard to let go...
Her thoughts are interrupted by the little uniformed Avalon fairies, zipping around and directing passengers. Elizabeth shifts the weight of her pack on her shoulders, then gives her name to the Avalon fairy who'd come to greet her. He leads her to her room, which is...somehow more sparsely decorated than she'd imagined it would be. "Thank you," she says to the portly fairy, who bows and zips away.
"Good thing you don't take up much space," she jokes to Sodóhka, her spirit companion, who rolls her eyes and jumps onto the bed. She'd been uneasy since they boarded the ship. "Don't tell me you get seasick," she says with a little smile.
"No," responds the incorporeal wolf, "Just don't like the small space, that's all." She puts her nose on her paws and watches Elizabeth unpack.

Seraphim had wandered down towards the port on a whim. He hadn't thought anyone would be down there, much less a boat loading passengers. The purple angel grumbled a bit, wondering just what these pae were doing. He shrugged, getting into line. Maybe he'd figure out what was going on.
And then he was ushered aboard? He glared a bit, getting shoved forward by the line of pae gathering to board the ship. He was going to have to get out as quick as he could.
"Really? This is where you're going to force me?" He crossed his arms, glaring at the Avalon Faery that was attending him. Whatever, he would let it be. The angel waited for the faery to leave before he ventured up on deck to see what was going on out there.
Sweetie Drops grinned, she'd been excited about this trip since she'd gotten a glimpse of the waterways on her way into the isle. Everything looked so big and shiny and she just wanted to explore it.
"Thank you." She smiled to the Fairy that greeted them at the dock. He was just too cute! She was bustled along to her quaint room, and it didn't seem to bother her one bit. It was small, but she was happy with it. With any luck, she wouldn't be spending time in there anyways. But what was she going to do? She had no idea. First though, it was time to get on her sunglasses and a nice hat. Go explore the deck first.
Leitha had heard about this cruise some time ago. While she really didn't know why she'd want to go on one, she'd thought it would be entertaining to cause a bit of drama while everyone was cooped up on a ship. They wouldn't be able to escape one another. The naiad was practically bouncing with excitement from the entire thing.
She gave a curtsey nod to the fairy that let her board the ship, and promptly got led off to a tiny little room. "Do you have anything with... A lot more water?" She asked, remembering that she was indeed a naiad and would need a very watery room.
Tyra sighed, why was she here again? She wanted to be as far away from water as possible. Or maybe it was because she wanted to sun bathe? Oh, that must be it. The firey red head glared a bit, sitting in her room. This looked like the tiniest room possible. Oh, she could request something.. Tyra glanced to the fairy that had brought her. "Can I have a few more pillows and blankets? Really soft fluffy ones." She asked, perking up. A nice nap curled up in a blanket fort... No one else had to know she liked them. Not to mention she would really hate appearing weak when her only weakness was the blanket fort.

Hefting his bag on his shoulder with a smile, Melek stood before the great ship just watching all the Pae and island Fairies zipping around. So much activity and movement, it was almost overwhelming trying to track everything at once. This was so exciting! He'd never been out to sea before. He'd heard all about it and sure, he'd been to the beach before, but that wasn't the same as setting out on the water, leaving the land behind, going only where the fish dare to tread...
Fish didn't walk though. Unless you counted Naiads. Tread water, maybe? Is that what the phrase meant?
Shaking his head, he returned to the moment. This would be a nice change of pace. He was glad he'd let Danya talk him into this afterall. Not that there hadn't been a lot of change already as of late. The father and son had just finished making the move to the City and getting settled in when Danya had shown his father the travel brochure with the suggestion that maybe he should take a trip and get away from it all for a while. Be spoiled. Take in the sights.
He'd never suspected that it was Danya who really needed a vacation.
Waving cheerily to the steward Fairy, he headed aboard the ship, stopping each time he saw another attendant to check again...where was it he was supposed to be going?
*****
Approaching the port warily, the tiger demon paused before moving in any closer. He still had a good view of the area here, open, unrestricted. An unusual addition to his appearance, Kane wore a simple, traveling cloak. It served well to cover his recent injuries; nearly healed, but some sporting fresh scars. He didn't need to appear weak.
Even if he'd been sent on this stupid trip as part of his 'recovery', he didn't want to look like an easy target.
Despite a deep, lingering ache in his thigh, he continued into the port with a smooth, confident stride, nary a limp to be seen. After this latest confrontation with the darkness of Dragnid, the Avalon fairies of the Healing House had insisted that he take some time away from the forest and his normal lifestyle to let his injuries heal. Both types, those of the body...and the mind.
He'd never admit it aloud to any other Pae'il or fairy bug, but the darkness that seemed to grip his mind, whispering temptations in his ear, steering him towards twisted, violent desires, despite his attempts to fight against it...disturbed him. He considered himself a reasonably strong individual, but whatever evil thing seeped from that forest seemed to flow effortlessly into his mind and take over. He didn't like that feeling, that loss of power. It unnerved him.
So, although he'd argued against such stupid, pointless activities, he'd finally gone along with this idea. If nothing else, perhaps he could lock himself away for the trip, take advantage of the ready food source, and rest to recover his strength.
Eyes scanning the crowd, he caught a semi-familiar flash of blue and purple ascending the ramp onto the ship. Eh? Melek was here too? Had to admit, he hadn't seen the kid in a while. Well, not really a kid anymore, he supposed. Okay, maybe, just maybe he could break his self-imposed solitude on this trip. Briefly. Later.
For now, Kane continued to the ramp as well, ascending and looking around before summoning one of the attentive little stewards with a curt nod of his head. "Yo. Apparently I've got a room on this thing somewhere. Where is it?"
"Oh, absolutely, sir! Let me show you the way. Come with me, sir!" the energetic little bug buzzed, causing Kane to raise an eyebrow in amusement at the 'sir' title, but say little else other than giving his name and following the zippy thing onto the ship. Lead finally to one of any number of non-descript doors, Kane was relieved to note that maybe the thing would stop talking incessantly now. "Do you need anything else right now, sir? A snack perhaps? Something to drink? Some other comfort until the ship gets moving?"
Skeptical, Kane hesitated, looking into the room. Already more luxurious than he was normally used to or even comfortable with. Eh, he'd make due. "Like what? Anything?"
"Anything, sir."
Pondering for a minute, he couldn't resist a challenge for'anything' he wanted. "Steamed lobster. And a bowl of boiled shrimp. And a drink. Something strong."
"Yes, sir! Make yourself at home and your order will arrive shortly!" The bug bowed in mid-air to the skeptical tiger-demon before zipping off down the hall. Kane only blinked, then turned to enter the room. Hell, if he had to be here, why not make the most of it? Maybe this wouldn't be so bad afterall.

Edana twitched her wings, folding them close against her body and stared around at the crowd that had gathered, it wasn't often she saw all of these people around the docks, and in spite of herself she found it exhilarating.
Her mellon fluttered around her left shoulder, Meep sat perched on the right, watching the mellon hungrily. The two of them hadn't managed to patch things up since she was first granted her wild soul, the mantis shrimp was still mightily determined to discover what mellon tasted like, and for some reason the mellon wasn't interested in being sampled.
Downright rude, if you asked Meep.
Edana absentmindedly clamped down on Meep's clubs as she passed the little greeter fairy. Wouldn't do to have her wild soul harassing the staff, adorable as he was.
She was surprised by how nice the room was, granted she'd never been on a cruise before, and had only ever been on a boat once, somehow she'd expected it to be tiny and dirty. But this looked downright comfortable.
Poking her head out, she motioned over one of the attendants. "If you could bring me a large dish of salt water and a honeydew for my mantis shrimp I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!"
Ducking back into her room she realized that the trip to the docks had left her a bit... grimy.
"You two behave yourselves, I'm going to take a shower."
Leaving them alone wasn't the best idea under any circumstances, but she wasn't going to listen to Meep's commentary as she showered. And besides, the mellon had no problem staying out of the troublesome crustacean's reach.

Crouched just outside of the trading post, Dagen held the brochure for a cruise in her hand. She couldn't read at all, but she was an expert at deciphering pictures. According to her. She seen the photo of the buffet table and that was all it took to convince her this was a place she needed to be. Ever since the HQ was destroyed, she had to hunt and steal food from open houses to survive. If there's a new HQ-like place with all you can eat, she was there!
But there was so many other Pae. She hefted a dramatic, put-upon sigh and looked at the brochure again, turning it in her hands to study each image from every angle. Everything looked fancy, but free food. There was a pool on a boat that seemed really stupid even to Dagen, but free food. Happy fairy bugs buzzing around in little rediculous coverings, but free food. The horned demon remained still, weighing her options until the final tie-breaker came to mind: Zaden. She could get away from her annoying sister for a while, eat to excess and relax.
Going invisible, she dropped the brochure and headed towards the trading post, sneaking past the fairy bugs and other Pae'il that were there. She side-stepped up the gangplank, bypassing a few of the boarding pae, accidently brushing up against them but continuing on. Once on deck she stopped to look around and make a plan. First, find where the food is.
A scurrying fairy, enroute to deliver a requested toiletry to a pae who had requested it plowed right into the back of her head. He fell to the ground, spilling the contents of the bottle he had.
"OW! Dummy!" Dagen become visible once again and rubbed the back of her head. It was a fairy bug. She went to kick it but it was a quick little sucker and rolled out of the way.
"I'm so sorry miss! I didn't see you standing there. My apologies, can I get you something to make up for my blunder? Have you found your room yet?" he rambled off trying to get back into the air so she couldn't attempt to kick him again.
Confused, Dagen snatched the fairy bug out of the air and held him to her face as she snarled at him. Wait, she had a room? She wasn't busted sneaking in? This made no sense. "Where ... is my room?" she growled. "And where is food?"
Dagen was suspicious, but was going to see how far she could get before getting caught. Maybe the fairy bug thought she was some hoity toity pae that belonged in such fancy surroundings. This made her think maybe she needed to hold her pinky out as she held the fairy bug, to fit in and all.
"This way ... ma'am...." the fairy tried to speak, but was being squeezed a bit hard by the demon Pae. All he could do is point cuz she wouldn't let loose.
Fairy bug in hand, pinky out, she found her room and investigated every square inch of it. She'd never slept in a bed before, so she was rather excited at the prospect. Maybe that's a lie, she's fallen asleep in the beds of houses she'd snuck in to once in a while. But those don't count. The fairy bug returned, this time looking like he was wearing tactical armor, with a plate of random assorted snacks: fruits, cheese, meats, veggies and some dip. He quickly vacated soon as the plate was set on the table.
Dagen stared at the plate. "Fairy bugs deliver food. Gotta find mine and fix him."

Dahlia had been nosing around her roommate a little more than was usual lately, trying to figure out if she was going to go on one these fairy vacation things that they'd been advertising all over the city. Unfortunately, Neve was preoccupied with something to do with Enya and her latest caper, or whatever.
Dahlia didn't want to play sidekick anymore so she decided to sign up for the cruise. She wanted to meet new pae, and maybe a special pae. Cruises and summer vacations were good for that, right? She curled her hair a certain way, brought her blue sunhat and wore a light sundress. She knew clothing was optional, but she wanted to look cute.
She arrived in time to board and find her room, and she requested a daquiri from the fairy when he offered to get her anything. She also asked for some sunscreen and an inflatable tube, for playing in the pool later. She might have packed a cute bikini as well. Neve's vanity seemed to have rubbed off a little on the quiet Pae.
After unpacking the few belongings she brought and finishing her daquiri, she headed out to the main deck to check out the activity and see if maybe any of her neighbors came long. Mostly, she wanted to see if any cute guys were also coming along.

A cruise. A CRUISE! Xanthea had not been so excited since she came to Telrunya. She'd been on many boats in her past and she'd heard wonderful stories of cruise ships and the luxuries they provide. She'd heard horror stories as well, but those were few and far between the good ones. The spirits would sometimes murmur of their favorite memories from life, and some talked about being out at a sea. Xanthea was delighted for this chance to have her own real adventure. One she could actually write about and others could read about. One that was hers, and hers alone; not a spirits story or someone else's she'd overhead.
She squealed a little bit when she started boarding. Halfway up the gangplank, she could swear she felt something brush up against her, but nothing was there. She tried real hard to not let this be a bad omen of a restless spirit. She calmed herself a bit, and right before reaching deck, she witnessed the spectacle of the mean demon squeezing the poor fairy. She managed to skirt around that scene not wanting to get on her radar.
A pleasant little fairy escorted her to her room, and asked if she wanted anything. "Anything at all?" she quizzed, a mischievious smile crossing her face.
The fairy chuckled and nodded, "Yes miss.'
"A notebook, a pen, and an alarm clock; a loud one."
"Right away, Miss."
And with that, the fairy went to fulfull her request, and Xan decided to settle in to her room. She had a moment were she thought she spotted Elizabeth's wolf in the hallway before she entered her own room. If Elizabeth is here, that would be wonderful.

Spreading his wings out to full span, and raising his arms high above his head, Momoiro "Mo" stretched and extended every muscle in his body before relaxing. He twisted his head and shoulder to pop them then rocked his head side to side, then bent down to pick up a small case. He motioned behind him and several fairies picked up the other 4 large trunks he'd brought wit him. He'd moved to the City recently and didn't get many chances to go back to the wilderness or explore other parts of the island. He didn't really want to. The city catered to all of his desires. No more "roughing it' for this guy. A luxury cruise, tended by the fairy servants sounded perfect. So he had to make sure he brought all important essentials.
Following along with the other passengers, he checked in, was escorted to is stateroom and settled in. When asked if he needed anything, he requested an assortment of lotions, soaps and scented candles. "Could I possibly get a mani-pedi before I head out to socialize? I didn't have time to get it done before I left. "
Mo felt like after all those years of oppression and depression, he finally breaking free of the baggage to become the pae he was meant to: A pampered princess.
