well me, i just couldnt get the hang of the spells and stuff so a trusty sword or axe suits me, i dont really like the bows either because in morrowind the arrows always seemed to miss even tough i was aiming at my target, i just hope theyve inproved on that in oblivion and i just love the way thier is normal deers in oblivion..im goinna just attack one as soon as i can..and a horse..heheh

In morrowind I was melee. Magic and archery SUCKED SO HARD it wasn't even funny. I mean, no matter what you choose in the beginning, you'll still end up having trouble doing ANYTHING with bows or magic in the game, but if you choose the right stuff in the beginning you can pretty much one-two hit kill everything with a sword. -_-
However, in general I am usually a magic user. But in Oblivion I'll probably start with a jack-of-all-trades, and then also have a spellsword character, and a bowsneak. =) Bows are so awesome in Oblivion it's not even funny, and this time around magic is actually useful. =D

Melee Thief, with bow for backup and a few healing spells.
Basically a Jack-Of-All.
I didn't mind the archery in Morrowind.
For one thing, if you've ever stood on a lighthouse (in real life) and shot down arrows at the people below, I doubt you'd be a consistent shot. It's not like a sniper rifle. lol

It's not like a sniper rifle. lol but i was right beside people in morrowind, their like ghosts! but thats gonna change in oblivion, like you can see all the arrows stuck in their bodies when they attack you after you shot them

Well. Id prefer fighter im tired of magic dudes. Im always involved with magic some how so im tired of it.

I loved the sneaking around, but apparantly Oblivion has a MUCH better sneaking system now. Which I will probably worship once I get it.

I'm mostly a sneak and steal stuff type (It's too much fun xp ). But I'ma try a Magic user when the game comes out.

Basically im going to be a spellsword. And a bit of enchatment with a touch of alchemy should make a well rounded charcter.

Hmm...does anyone know anything about vampires and/or werewolves in Oblivion? I've always wanted a vampire player...but for some reason, I never managed to get infected... crying

lokerruff to get infected when you kill a vampire search through his stuff lotsa times I found getting infected by a vampire was *very* easy in Oblivion. I killed a few of them at a fort place south of Chorrel as I was exploring... I didn't even know I'd been infected. Three game days later I slept, had a dream, and woke up with red eyes. Now I need to find the "Cure Vampirism" quest. lol ... On topic... I started off as a Melee Thief as I stated above. Then I made a new character and now I'm a sort of BattleMage. My BattleMage is pwning my Melee Thief in funness factor and doing a damn good job of going through quests aswell.

I pretty much have a freakin insanly powerful daedric weilding battlemage. Iv maxed out my intel. and to make up for the loss of strength i enchanted all my armor with strength bosting powers. All that and a wicked powerful staff to back it all up and im unstopable. I have like done none of the main quest. Just became the listener for the dark brotherhood and the arch-mage in the mages guild. Im working on the theives guild but i hit a wall so that sucks. Otherwise im looking for daedric gods to do quests for so I can obtain rare and uber artifacts.
