IT WAS... a foe she had faced before! Raumias emerged from the fog, prepared to do battle. Perhaps this time, she could find some of her co-conspirators as well.
Yeah, and she was doing no better this time than she did last time, either.

Perhaps if she could exceed its speed, she could catch it off guard-- like it had worked for her before, moving quickly appeared to be to her advantage. Approaching cautiously just seemed to get her hurt without any payoff.
This time, without fear, she struck out at it. It raked one of its disturbing armlike extensions at her, clawing her back. She circled it, wondering if she could strike at it from above, or perhaps sliding at it to knock it off its feet would do her best? She opted to do a spinning kick, in the hopes of knocking it to the ground, to make further attacks a little... easier on her.

When would it rise? She watched it, trying to strike fast before it could get back up. As she went to attack it, it got ahold of her leg, and latched on; she managed to kick it off with one foot, but did hardly any damage compared to the red welts it left on her ankle.

There's a song inside us that makes us kick all the monsters to pieces, and Raumias searched for her inner battle song. She should not have done that, because she really sucked at singing, and even her insides knew it: she barely managed to scrape the creature at all.
And she retreated to pace around it, waiting for reinforcements. That one guy had been right; she did need to take a team with her. Aima looked to the other one that was fighting the creature. She wasn't going to be able to do this on her own.
Additionally, Aima hadn't seen this type of monster before. She was curious.

Raumias and her kept running into each other and she grinned when she saw her, running in with her new axe and taking a whack at another of the hunched-back variety creature. Jumping over she sliced at it and moved back, grinning at Raumias and the other who had joined them.
"And here we go again!"

When Gun saw who was battling the creature - specfically, that a certain easily aggravated and silent shadow was battling - he almost turned around and walked off. But it seemed like they could use the help, so he stayed and swung his weapon. "I'm good!" Mel'ae called to the other before taking another slice with her axe, nearly falling over from the momentum. Another one had joined and she wanted to wave or give some sort of indication of "hello" but had to jump to avoid another blow.
These ones were way harder than the other little ones. At least she had her weapon now.

Raumias nodded to the three newcomers; one she was quite familiar with, one she recognized, and one she'd never met. "I consistently underestimate this thing; I am glad to see all of you," she said.
It seemed like being thankful and considerate was actually a new and more often change in the chick-- it was probably welcome, given she had been extremely unpleasant to deal with before.
She was still silent more often than not, and a little expressionless, but she did seem to appreciate them.
This time, when she approached the monster, it was with renewed energy: fighting alongside the others seemed to be much more of a morale boost, than it had been before.
"I'm Raumias," she added, after she'd finished her flurry of blows and retreated once more to stretch and nurse her wounds.
She wasn't exactly in the best of shape, but she was also not terribly worried.
