They were required for another task. Sonja entered the temple with his usual cautious self, sighing in relief at the safely the temple provided him. He was sure there would be none of those strange beeping monsters here.
Slowly he stepped towards the goddess of paranoia, able to see she was busy with some strange object. But as she approached, she turned and gave him a bag. His heart leapt in excitement at another blessing from the beautiful goddess, and he opened the bag with eager hands.
His face feel as soon as he saw the emptiness of the bag. But all was not lost, as she said she would be able to fix it. Handing him a pair of scissors, she asked him to fetch a heart. It took him a few moments to fully understand what she meant. A sharp intake of breath followed his realisation, which soon lessened as she said they would not need their heart.
Strange words came into his mind at that point. "organ transplant". He knew that people would trade some of their organs to others who needed them. Perhaps this was one of those cases , he reasoned to himself. It was strange how his mind worked here. Sonja would think up something, and then would realize he knew all about it. It didn't work most of the time however. (nothing came up when he tried to remember anything about himself).
With his task set, Sonja walked towards the small opening provided, turning in time to see her gorgeous smile, then entered the next room.
He was faced with a selection of three doors, each slightly different then the next. He stood there a moment to consider his options, before the shadow chose the third door. The branching tree, it felt...familiar.
As he placed a hand on the door, he suddenly jumped back with a shout of alarm. Sonja could feel terror coming from the other side, a terror mingled with malice. He really didn't want to go in but...the goddess had asked him. He needed to get the heart.
With shaky hands, he opened the door and stepped inside.

A steady thud filled his ears as he was swept into the oblivion of darkness. The door had closed behind him, leaving Sonja only one avenue of escape. He had to go forwards, in the dark, without any clue as where he was going. Stifling a fearful whimper, he edged his way forwards, hands out to feel his way around and to help him not bump into things. It didn't help much, as he soon bumped into a large wooden object. Rubbing his nose, Sonja stepped back. His eyes had adjusted a little and he was able to see somewhat the item he had bumped into.
It was nothing special. Just a wooden crate. He almost felt silly for being frightened int he first place, until he saw what was hanging from the side of the crate.
A arm. A arm covered in blood.
Sonja stuffed his hands into his mouth to keep from screaming. His mind reeled and he almost turned around to run back. He instead tried to move around the crate, but found it had completely blocked his way forwards. He wasn't able to suppress his whimper now, knowing he had no other choice but to look inside. The steady thudding noise was louder here, and the sides of the crate were drenched with blood. Gods, could he be any more frightened?
Stupid question. Yes he could. He gathered up his tiny courage to touch the ar, and feel his way along it so he could see inside the box.
A body. A body that was bloodied and unable to fit properly in the crate. But more importantly, he could see a beating heart. The thudding sound had been replaced by the hearts rhythmic beating.
He knew what had to be done.
The actual process of extracting the heart was grizzly, but for some strange reason, it did not disturb him as much as before. He knew what to expect. There was no unknown, just a simple procedure. It was difficult however as it was dark and hard to see, so he had to feel his way around the internal organs, opening up the body cavity and snipping the lungs away. With some maneuvering, he had made enough room to extract the heart. He began cutting away the tubes that held it in place, placing his hands around the organ gently-"
"JASON"
The name echoed in his ears, as the body suddenly screamed, coming to life to clutch at his arms. Sonja screamed as well. He screamed and screamed, feeling blood in his throat and he all but yanked the heart away, a memory coming to him-
There was singing all around. Jason walked up the isle towards the priest that stood there. His parents were behind him, looking worried as they pushed him forwards. He had been speaking of demons again, of dark shadows that haunted his sleep and left him shaking and sobbing by nights end. Instead of comforting him, they took him to church, hoping the priest could banish the evil from his mind.
Briefly he looked at Jason in the eyes, a serious expression on his face and he began to recite ancient words and hymns that he believed would keep the evil spirits at bay.

His breathing rapid, Jason clutched onto the heart, sitting on the floor and watching the crate for any signs of movement. Slowly he regained control over himself, and got to his feet as he placed the bloodied heart in the small bag. His task was done, he could go now. With this though in mind he turned and ran, trying to find a exit. As he ran he realized that the floor was becoming more slippery, as if there was liquid on it. He even heard someone sloshing through behidn him, and he turned in a panic only to see no one there.
He ran again, his stomach tied in nots as he soon realized he was wadding through knee deep water.
'Give it back'
Sonja whelped, again turned around and splashing water everywhere. Again there was no one there. He could not run anymore, merely wade as the water rose higher and higher, just below his neck now.
And then, he was pulled under.
He screamed, bubbles rising upwards as he felt the strong grip of the person he had taken the heart from. Thrashing wildly, he fought to rid himself from the others grasp, but was only pulled deeper into darkness. Quickly his attempts to escape weakened as he ran out of air, his consciousness fading as a pair of grey eyes stared at him-
He cough and spluttered as his head was forced under the water again. It was freezing cold, and he didn't like it one bit. But the priest said that this was the only way to free himself from the evil demons that plagued him, so he put up with it. Muffled sounds were heard overhead, before he was allowed back up to breathe, coughing up more water. Briefly he shot a annoyed, frightened look at the priest before he was dunked, and he concentrated on not drowning.

Sonja knew if he didn't do something soon, he would be lost to the darkness. Already the edges of his vision were dimming, finding it hard to move his arms. With his last ounce of strength, he slammed the sharp edges of the scissors into the priests chest, hearing a horrible scream of pain before he was suddenly on dry land.
Collapsing on the ground, he threw up all the water he swallowed, breathing clean, glorious air. And not only that, but the temple door was just within sight. Nearly crying with relief, he hobbled through those doors, pausing to look back as he could of sworn he had seen the priest staring at him, clutching the same scissors in hand.
He shuddered, moving into the light. He never liked that priest anyway.

Task 2 It was funny how things worked out. Or in this case how accurate the goddess could be. Sonja stood before her, ready to do the next task, and the first few words out of her mouth made him want to be sick. Face his fears...it was hard to describe it, but this felt familiar, and it filled him with dread for what was to come. As if he had already experienced this somewhere before. Where and when, he could not say. He stiffened when the goddess circled him, musing out loud weather he would eat or be eaten. Sonja didn't want to find out at all, but he didn't want to disappoint the goddess, so he received the dagger without question. With unease steadily building inside of him, the shadow walked towards the small opening the goddess had provided, feeling her gaze upon him the whole time.

The next thing Sonja was aware of, was the cold feeling of metal underneath him. Bright lights flashed before his eyes, and he lifted his arm to shield them. What had happened to him? All he did was walk towards the opening...
Getting to his feet, he grimaced as the hum of the lights drilled into his mind at such a frequency that it was giving him a headache. With a glance around he knew there was nothing in this room except a door, which he quickly opened and exited through, only to find himself in a equally bright and sterile hallway. It was discerning; there was no one here, no other signs of life. Sonja glanced around before walking away from the small room, only to jump about a mile when he heard a slam. He spun around, seeing the door was still open.
His steps were slow and measured as he walked down the hallway, his gaze darting this way and that. In the distance he could see a exit, a proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. He didn't want to be here any longer.
Thud
The shadow's heart almost stopped beating at that moment. Again he looked, and there was nothing there. He quickened his pace towards the exit only to hear the sound again. Now there was someone there. Slowly coming toward them, a sharp screeching filling the air as they moved.
Terror paralyzed Sonja. His body wouldn't move, he couldn't speak or scream, only stare in blind horror as the thing came closer, and closer still. Perhaps it would of been easier to just there and then then to put up with this.
He pushed that thought aside. He felt the cold hands upon his neck, and in a instant he was running. Running for the sanctuary of the outside world. He soon reached the other door, and actually sobbed when the door wouldn't open. The door wouldn't open, and he was in here with the scariest thing ever.

Sonja was still in such a panic, but he had to calm himself down. Think, think, he had to think of how to ge tout of here. Being terrified wouldn't get him anywhere. His breathing slowed, enough to prevent him from hyperventilating on the spot, and he looked around the area. This door had to open somehow, right?
There was a piece of paper with red wright. He picked it up, felling sick to his stomach. The letter meant nothing to him.

Okay, keep calm, Don't panic, there must be a way out...Sonja looked again, straining to see something that could aid him. He was surprised to see another piece of paper, and this one gave him the answer he so desperately needed.
He had seen the red words on the door handle, and the number pad on the door. He quickly punched the numbers in, and the door swung open. Sonja then bolted for freedom, never so thankful he was out in the open and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

The trees provided cover form him as he ran, looking for a way out of this horrible situation. He knew the figure still pursued him, and he was having difficulty trying to shake it off. His throat burned from breathing so harshly, his mind in utter turmoil.
And to add to his problems, up ahead he could see a bridge. This bridge however was so old, he wasn't sure if it could support this weight. He stopped at the edge of it, weighing his options. It didn't take long, as he heard the taunts form his pursuer. Something about his heart. He had no idea what they meant, but when he heard them say they wanted his heart....
He stepped onto the bridge, moving quickly but carefully. The wind seemed to pick up just as he reached the middle, forcing him to hold onto the side. His gaze drew downward, and he froze. Damn he was high up...
Too late. There was a thud behind him, and the snip snip of scissors. He turned, and screamed when he saw they had caught up. They were right there and-
He kept screaming until they placed a hand on his head. His shrieks stopped, and he couldn't move. Something else had a hold of him now, and he could only stare wide eyed at the disfigured face. All he could hear was the thudding noise, and only then did he realize it was his own heart that made it. The figure spoke to him, saying it wouldn't hurt for long. His mind was starting to fade away on panic.
He felt the quick stab of pain as the figure cut his heart out, walking away with it and leaving him there, terror stricken and afraid and unable to do a thing about it.

Task 3 Approaching the goddess for his next task, Sonja felt surprised, and a little pleased at the goddess reactions. She seemed so friendly and joyful, it gave him a warm feeling in his heart. When offered a cookie he took it gratefully, smiling as she beamed at him. "Of course I love you" He reassured the goddess when she asked. "Why wouldn't I?" How couldn't he love someone such as herself? Her next question had him blinking in surprise. He had nearly forgotten he was speaking to a all powerful being. "O-oh, uhh, sure." Though he wasn't too sure about the tea party aspect, it sounded a million times better then how he felt about the other two goddesses tasks. He began to move off, watching as the hedges formed in front of him, leading to a long table. She urged him on, and he walked towards the table.

There was some strange music playing in the background, the mixture of whispers and bells giving Sonja a feeling of nostalgia. It was a comfortable feeling, and the white flakes that fell from the sky added to the effect. He was liking this task so far, pausing to scoop up the powder and let it fall through his hands as his gaze rested on the table. Two jugs rested, one pink and one blue. He moved near the blue one at first, but moved away as he felt a sense of sadness coming from it. Instead he Picked up the pink jug, the happiness he felt emanating from it a welcome feeling. Following the instructions, Sonja gulped down the liquid inside the jug, and sighed happily as he finished it all. He now felt happy, delighted even. He was at peace with not a care in the world, and he couldn't recall a time he had been this happy. Even when the table provided him with more choices he did not worry about the how's and whys. All he did was Pick up the cake and eat it, the effects of the food surging through his mind. He was euphoric, and this almost overwhelmed him. He decided it was time to drink something, and even as he thought these words, two tea cups had appeared on the table. While the gold teacup was worth more, he opted for the more colorful teacup, the bright red hearts he thought looked quite cute. As soon as he put the cup to hips lips and sipped the contents, he was met with a warm, glowly feeling in his stomach. A warmth that spread through his body as he sighed in happily remembrance of the one he cared for the most Jason had been worried she wouldn't like them. nervousness had his stomach in knots as he checked to make sure the roses were alright and to make sure the chocolates hadn't melted, and he hoped he hadn't gone over the top with this. He barely knew her...and yet...
It took him some time to get the courage to knock on Solia's door. She had answered (and then closed the door only to open it back up). He felt relieved when she liked the flowers and chocolates, and oh so very awkward, but most importantly he felt elated . Most of the time he either felt awkward or just afraid, but now his usual fear had been replaced by a fondness he didn't quite understand.
Not long after that, after some stuttering, he confessed that he liked her. And when she said she liked him too....he couldn't have been happier. He was proved wrong when they kissed. He remembered there was someone else there too...they were playing a prank on him. But even if it was all fun and games, his mind had been a happy haze of love and acceptance. He could hardly believe that someone else actually liked him.
All these feelings felt so good, and he hoped he could feel more of these feelings by her side.. Tea cup memoriesDecylBreuseAmity

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Bronze Description: Nervous at first, sweet, hopeful Your commentary on its flavour: The tea starts off nervous at first, but given the context Ikait could understand. He mulls over the feeling of knots twisting his stomach before they become undone slowly. It's a pleasant sensation of relief, even happiness as they share a kiss. Lips curl into a smile, and he feels happy for the person. He doesn't know if the two ever went further or remained a couple for long, but he hopes they at least had lasting happiness with each other. It was important to love.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Light Brown Description: Worried, Nervous, Relief, adoration. Your commentary on its flavour: Marati's only way to describe this flavour is: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Something in her cold black heart shifted, and she really found herself rooting for the guy. He obviously put so much work into it...and it paid off! She didn't know him, but she clapped for his success. Love was always a great thing to find, and to have reciprocated.

There is worry and nervousness but only over getting everything right and wanting things to be perfect and not overdone. He cares about the person he is about to see and wants her to be happy and at the same time he wants to continue to be happy and stay by her side. Its very sweet.
