Extracting the Heart...
"Ais.."
"Aisa.."
Isaa turned around, her voice venomously sweet as she tipped her head back to the voice. "I do believe you're pronouncing it wrong, it has an "e-sah" sound, rather an an "ay-sah"~"
The voices, however, persisted. It seemed to fade as Isaa stumbled onto a box. Was this was the goddess had been talking about? There was a shape in the darkness.. Isaa couldn't remember ever having a quality resembling neatness but this was such an odd assembly of objects.. Almost too odd. Some sort of instinct and familiarity encouraged Isaa to trace a finger along the arm, rubbing a bit of blood between her thumb and index finger. She tried to judge the temperature but the temperature of the room deemed that impossible.
It was a useless effort, she realized, as she went through the process of extracting the heart. a warm liquid enveloping her arms as she reached in to grab the heart. But as her hand reached the heart, another hand suddenly grabbed her shoulder, painfully clawing into it, a sudden shout forcing her into icy silence.
"Ais--"
"Ais.. I dont even think Death calls you that. I suppose that's a privilege I'll be taking."
"I suppose there's no point in giving you a name Kreios, that no other Priestess hasn't given you before."
"But a name implies ownership.. and you do want to own me, right, Ais?"
Isaa remembered that handsome face, eyes blacker than darkness, with a deathly pallor, no matter what time or place he went. She remembered the swirling tattoo on his stomach..

[ The Encounter ]:
Isaa didn't feel surprise stirring up within her, when the sloshing noises sounded. She didn't stir when the figure grabbed her, almost losing herself--
She could only pat the figure's cheek, recalling the words of a long forgotten memory--
"I've--"
--The word interchanged, as the event now overlapped with the memories of the past--
"You've.."
"..already given me your heart."
Ais looked up, in contemplative glances. She mulled over the meaning of Kreios's words, as he draped himself over her back, his lips tracing the scarred curve of her spine. She could feel his mouth curving into a smile against her skin, turning over to show Kreios her armored stomach instead, looking up at his battle-toned chest.
"Everything I own belongs to you, Ais. Including my heart."
"But I won't give you mines. Mines belongs to Sir Death.. and Sir Death alone."
A chuckle, raspy from their nightly encounter, brushed past her shoulder. "I know, Ais, I know."
"Give me back my heart."
"Ah, but Kreios, you've already given it to me, haven't you?"

[ The Escape ]:
The choice had been easy. If Kreios was going to obstruct her, then isaa would have no choice than to send him back. She coughed up the water, her hand hiding the indelicate motions as she covered her mouth. Kreios was going to be a large obstruction if she didn't hurry--
-- so she hurried. But the sight of Kreios holding the scissors was oddly unnerving..
