Pahana stepped out onto the playing field, her hair done up in intricate braids. She appeared far more confident than usual, at least by an aesthetic standpoint, and smiled smugly at Bhima.
"Careful! I'm known to be quite clumsy!" She giggled, before doing a quick spin with the blades held outwards on either side. This was going to be so much fun!

Already she was having fun... a lot of fun. She hadn't even hit anything yet, and the prospect of being morally allowed to smack someone around, in good fun and tournament-style? Brilliant! While she knew she was not quite as experienced as some of the people battling, she was still having fun. Besides, she could watch battles and enjoy the fair even if she lost miserably.
"I'll keep that in mind," she nodded, giving a grin and dropping into a preparative stance, one blade in front of her and the other out at her side.

Rolled: 6! Pahana fails to reach Bhima this turn! (DUH, This is PAHANA, not Yaholo, what did you expect?)
Over confidence should have been Pahana's middle name, because her legs just don't know when to work with her brain! She raced forward, slipped upon a stray pebble, and landed flat upon her face.
"Oopsie!" She squeaked, leaping back up to her feet. OH WELL, next time will be better!
Right? ... RIGHT?!

Bhima sucked her lips in quickly to avoid laughing. While it seemed like this girl realized it was all just a game, it still wasn't polite to guffaw when someone fell over. She even might have helped her up, were it not a competition. As it was, she waited for Pahana to get herself situated again before thrusting forward with one blade, and spinning to attempt and strike with the other in the same motion.

OH CRAP, DODGE PAHA, DODGE! Pahana cried, flailed, and ultimately did nothing to stop herself from getting slashed by Bhima. OW! Why the hell did her brother think fighting was so much fun?! It hurt!

Oh, wow. Bhima felt... really bad actually. In a rash decision, she swung around again and missed by at least 6 inches.

It was worth taking one fall for the poor... fall-prone young woman, but that was it. Faking sucked too! Dear Aisha, let that not be the hit that decided the match!

Pahana took her proper stance again and raced forward. She made it! She was so close! She was... SHE MISSED. BY LIKE FIVE FEET! Her blades flailed helplessly before they were brought back to her sides again. OKAY, at least she didn't fall this time!

Oh wow, she... this... really? As much as she'd like to hold Pahana's hand, Bhima couldn't risk losing any more attacks for the sake of dignity. Although she still felt terrible, she took a steeling breath and leaned out for a kick before striking with her blades again.

Pahana flailed as Bhima leaned out to kick her and appeared to be imitating some sort of deranged bird. Bhima's blades went right into her sides and elicited quite a startled cry from Pahana's mouth and sent her stumbling backwards. Where was her big brother, or better yet, her daddy when she needed him?! Being a grown up SUCKED!

This felt just slightly unfair to the Alkidike who, rather than fake an entire failed attack, simply missed with her first blade and struck with the second. She wished that she had gotten a different opponent for the first round... at least someone who could land a hit! She wouldn't have even minded at this point if she had been the one beaten. She felt... guilty! truly, honestly guilty! For winning! What was that all about?!

Despite one last attempt to avoid Bhima's blades, Pahana found herself face down in the dirt again. She shoved her blades in front of her and flopped down. She was beat, done, out! She could not be a fighter and that was okay! Dancing was much more fun anyway! She gazed up do Bhima and smiled.
"I had fun! Maybe we should do this again sometime!" She chirped. "When I'm not... You know... Wiped out."

The smile let Bhima know that it was alright to laugh, and so she did. With her mirth came a hand to help Pahana to her feet, and she looked over the damage done. The usual endings to battles didn't seem appropriate, so she just grinned and shook her head.
"You're not so bad-off! A quick visit with a healer and you'll be good as new," she said, still grinning. She liked this girl, for some reason. "I live in Andile in Jahuar. I wouldn't mind a visit. Just look out for my sisters, they can get a bit... riled." She winked and began to walk Pahana out of the ring.
"I'm Bhima, and it was a pleasure to meet you."

Pahana grinned and allowed herself to lean against Bhima.
"I'm Pahana," She said. "And I know where Andile is, my brother's mother and half-sister mother live there..." She didn't know if Bhima knew who Yaholo, Tahigwa, or Luljeta were, but figured it was worth the time to tell her she knew where she lived. She just hoped her brother hadn't seen how silly she had looked!
