Rae could remember the creeper from her first battle; the odd, weak little thing. There had been a number of them skittering about before, but their numbers seemed to have thinned. Not so much that it prevented one from approaching her again, however. This time she was ready for it, though. It lumbered in her direction and she took a solid whack at it with her staff. The creeper came at her again, seeming just as determined as before... Just as creepy, really. Its claws caught her leg and she shifted her grip on the handle of her weapon, bringing the point down to stab at the pathetic creature. Her next blow only seemed to graze it, in part because the swipe of claws caught her leg again, causing her to trip and fall. She cursed, rolling with it as she readied her next attack. She let her strength build as she watched it, waiting until the creeper was in striking distance before taking a hefty swing. The sickening crack of her weapon's blade smacking flat against it was almost enough to make her cringe... At the same time, though, it was somewhat satisfying to know that it would take a little bit longer for it to come at her again from where it had landed. She pulled herself back to her feet, digging her heels in to hold her ground as the creeper rushed her again. Rushed... Was not likely the best word to use for the way it shuffled, dragging its claws. It only took a light nudge to knock it back down. She almost felt sorry for it. This time she brought the spear head back down again, attempting to pin it in place. It couldn't have much more left in it. Heck, she was starting to get a bit worn down herself. Her legs hurt where the creeper had slashed at her and the effort of swinging Simple Pride about was starting to make her arms ache. "You should give up." Clearly the creeper did not like that option... Or her arrogance. It took another swipe at her, this time catching her off guard, causing her grip to slip on her weapon as it fell to the ground. The creeper went for her weapon, trying to keep it out of her grasp. She aimed a well-timed kick, sending it skittering again which gave her enough time to stoop back down to retrieve it. [ Necissary Battle Music ] The dust kicked up around them, the air seeming to charge with energy and anticipation. Raedala shifted her grip on Simple Pride before charging forward. She and the creeper met head on; a clash of titans. The head of her spear ran straight through it, sending bits scattering before the creature slumped down, leaving the shade victorious.
