Willows Weep stirred gently from her sleep, some of the leaves that made her bedding sliding off of her flank. She got up slowly and stretched, blinking the sleep from her eyes as they adjusted to the dusk light. This was the week that she was going to spend exploring the plants that awakened and bloomed at night. She nosed the leaves back into place, nibbled on some of the fruits and nuts she had brought from yesterday's expedition for a breakfast of sorts, and made her way to the more foliage-dense part of the swamp. She started out on a path she had walked before, then came across a tree that was covered in a sort of golden ivy. She stared at tit in wonder, her eyes following the curling stem from tree to trunk to roots and other shrubs. She followed the blanket of ivy, knowing that it was an indicator of good soil quality, hoping it would lead her to some unidentified plants. Willow walked until she was in a clearing of sorts, with grass that came to her thigh. she marveled at the lush colors of the treetops, gliding through the middle of the clearing when - suddenly - she tripped over something and tumbled several feet. She stood quickly, poised and ready to run if the thing she fell over turned out to be hostile. She breathed a silent sigh of relief when she saw that it was a plumb-colored buck.
"Oh dear... I am so sorry..." Willow murmured softly. She dipped her head in apology, embarrassment and nervousness crossing her face.
