He came out onto the field looking annoyed. He wasn't sure what this was or why it started attacking him out of no where-- but he immediately pounced forward and made his own attack. He wasn't aware that anyone else was there either.. only himself and the boss. For now. And he's not happy. Especially since he doesn't seem to have much strength to fight as of late. Solliette drifted into the battlefield. She'd wondered why so many shadows seemed to be gathering here. Just ahead, there was another one like her, attacking a being so shapeless it hardly seemed able to stand up right. She felt almost sorry for it. Help... She thought. Maybe I should help.
The other shadow (person?) seemed to think that the best way to help was to put the creature out of its misery.

He's utterly distracted by the shadow being that started to attack the same enemy he was. So distracted that he falls forward instead of actually hitting the enemy. And he lays there with his face pressed against the ground. Something about this seems very familiar. Closing in on the creature, she lifted a leg to kick it in the head: the motions were fluid, oddly familiar. Maybe she had done this, long ago, or battle was the purpose she was needed for. But her attention slipped as she saw her companion go down. He stayed on the ground, unmoving, and Solliette began to feel a twinge of concern. Backing away from their apparently shared enemy, she nudged the man with a foot.

A groan escaped his lips from the foot nudge. His brows furrowed and he slowly pushes himself up. His eyes look up at the thing that nudge him and he realized it was the person he was fighting with. He frowned deeply and felt a sharp pain in his side as the monster comes to attack them once more.
Ezophyr let out a small noise of pain and he moves backwards from it. Then looks back at the Red glowing shadow and frowns more. ".. Ezophyr.. I am known as.. Forgoing a counterattack for now, Solliette yanked the man backwards, further away from the monster. She stared at him seriously. Even the attack on her back meant nothing as she tried to process his words.
Then, she smiled. "I'm Solliette. I haven't spoken to another one of us before. Have you? You must have. It's nice to talk, isn't it?" He groans at the yank of her hand. He probably took more damage from this than from the enemies actually attack. He doesn't look happy and frowns deeply at her. Pulling his arm back and rubbing it before charging forward at the enemy out of frustration and attacking roughly.
When he falls back, he looks back at Soliette an just stares. He wasn't exactly happy to be talking. He hasn't actually used his voice as much since he's gotten it. He's used more of his emotions-- and right now his emotion is telling him he's annoyed.

"Practice, you'll get better. That was much better than earlier, by the way," She said, gesturing to the monster. She clapped her hands, thinking this was encouraging, then belatedly remembered they should probably keep fending the poor creature off and whacked it lightly on one of its spindly little hands. That last attack took a lot out of him. By this point the enemy has gotten him down to panting heavily. He wasn't feeling so well and was confused as to how the other shadow was acting so hyper.
He tried to hurt the thing, but it's counter attack was definitely more painful than his own.

Another offhand slap, and she went right back to chattering away, even as her body seemed to be growing fainter and fainter from the bottom up. "About that, why not? It's important, so we know how you're feeling. I feel a little funny. I can't feel my legs."
In a moment of sudden seriousness, she glanced at their enemy, then back at Ezophyr, and tilted her head. "Do you think we'll make it out of here?" "Oh." She murmured. "Is that it, then?" Ezophyr was gone, but she felt no pain, nor even concern. Instead, she was preoccupied with the way her body seemed to have less and less substance. She would join him soon, she could tell, and as the creature's claws reached her, she felt herself fading...

Once she makes that last hit, Ezophyr seems to reappear once more. He's renewed-- but not to full strength. And he clenches his hands. This enemy will not get the best of him. His head turns to see that the shadow that was near him had started fading. He feel a bit sad for her.
However there was nothing he could do. He must keep fighting. For the sake of Soliette fading, even he fights with fever. Attacking the Creeper with anger that has arisen.
