It hadn't been a mistake, synthesizing that handful of colorful junk. He had a shield now, and one that he could ram and bash things to his red heart's content with. Today was a good day. Although Lyzzi was really just swinging it up and down, her weapon was pretty effective... Until now, anyway. Lyzzi actually aimed before she tried to stab the creature with her weapon. The 'swing weapon up and down in the direction of the attacking creature' tactic worked out so well that Lyzzi saw no reason to change it. It was a perfectly sound way of handling a weapon. [ He had walked away from his previous group for a breather, but it didn't happen that way. Already in a fight, a pair of people were throwing weapons that were different from the ones he saw before. What was even stranger was that he saw his first Red ever. They were fighting side by side against a large cat - a type he encountered before and didn't much like.

Wanting to show off his sword skills and stab right into the cat, as a sort of revenge for the other cat who nearly beat him into the ground, he slashed again, but the kitty only said 'hello' as if spotting his move before he could reach, and stepped aside before punching him in the ribs.
