"C'mon, c'mon! We have to defeat as many bad thing-things as we caaaaan!" Annabell prefaced as she tugged Ortam toward a vacant area. "They drop SHINIES." And shinies were very, very important. Just as she was about to go into in depth detail about how you could turn shinies into weapons, a blinking light caught her attention. Ah! There was one now, how convenient! She held up a finger at him and casually pulled out her sword, trying to look as suave as possible. Instead she nearly missed the swing she tried and barely cut the creature. Huh... Ortam made a small face in apprehension, though once more Annabell's enthusiasm was catching. "Shinies, huh?" he said with a soft chuckle, though his expression turned to wonder as she brandished a red weapon from seemingly nowhere. "Whoa, where'd you get that?"
More importantly could he get one? He needed one, since his blows were rather weak right now . . .

The awe expressed by Ortam from seeing her weapon made her turn around to shoot him a cocky grin. "'Course you can get one! You just have to get shinies first." And she really wanted her shinies, ok. They were the only tangible thing for her to hold onto in this gray world, they were colorful when she was not and they made for awesome weapons. So the girl hopped forward and smacked the monster a few times with her sword and hopped back. "Now you try!" OOC Name of character: Annabell Doe Damage done: ?? Returning her grin with one of his own, Ortam bobbed and ducked around as best he could, managing a better hit this time around. Probably from the encouragement. Or need for shinies. Or both.

"That's it! You're getting the hang of this really fast!" She chirped with another brandish of her sword. This hit wasn't the same powerful, show off-y thing from last time, but it was something. "C'mon! You got this!" She even bounced up and down for him. The bounce was so curious and out of place to him that he was distracted--and promptly smacked.
"Owwwww," Ortam whined, backing off for a moment. "M-Maybe I shoudl leave the fighting to you . . ."

He supposed it was hard to stay down with cheers like that. Nodding, he jumped back at the monster and threw a punch, which sort of worked kinda of maybe.

At his question Annabell only shook her head somberly. "Have to earn the shinies on your own." To encourage him all the more, she hit the monster really, really hard. She waved at it, an indication that he should finished it off. On his own? Man . . . Well, he supposed it was only right, but he felt a little lazy in that regard. Which explained many things he was not aware of.
Winding up a fist, he struck the creature with a harder blow than the last, watching with a blink as it disappeared. "Oh! Hey look, I did it!" Ortam cheered, jumping a little himself. "So we go through what's left and make something from it then?"

That last hit was an impressive attack and thus won the most impressive praise possible: A hug. Not that Annabell really understood or even knew the difference between levels of praise, she just knew hugs were great. She didn't know how when she started the hug, but afterward she knew. Hugs were so nice! "You did that really well! Yaaaaay!" She let go and hopped back, poking at the creature. "Yup! Just pick out something and we'll go make you a sword or something!"  x1 GET!

"Let's see, ah . . ." Grinning and terribly pleased, Ortam leaned over and grabbed some more of the seals, liking how they flashed with color in an otherwise gray world. "Here we go."
He turned to Annabell with a bright look. "Let's see what we can make, yes~"
