Fights were getting easier and easier, but Annabell had the sneaking suspicion that it was due to all the help she was getting. It would have been nice to find Lance and get him to come along, but the girl wanted just two seconds alone to try and get this done on her own. It was important to her to know that she could handle herself! Even if no one else would know that but herself... Too bad she started out the fight by missing the enemy. In a miraculous turn of events, Annabell found it within herself to make one last charge at the creature. It seemed to sense its own demise and lashed out at her as she swung at it. Both hit the other and stood there for a moment before each person fell. The girl crashed down to the ground next to the monster, exhausted and aching and sure that the encroaching darkness meant her doom. But the monster dropped something first and Annabell had the wherewithal (or at least, found her magpie tendencies strong enough) to reach out and grab the two dropped pieces. Oh... Pretty.... x2!
