Beating these things up was turning out to be a pretty good way to pass time. That, and the items that they dropped proved to be good offerings.

Lacie wasn't quite sure where she was.. but when a monster appeared in front of her, along with another shadowed figure -- She only had one option. To attack really, even though she preferred not to. Aiming for one of the legs, she skidded to kick it.

She glanced to the side in surprise when another figure came to join her, but after a moment, the girl smiled greeted her with a friendly hello. "Thanks for joining me! My name is Ixyguin, or just Ixy. Who are you?"

"My name is Liace." She smiled shyly, putting her hands together. She was reassured by the rather nice presence, even if they couldn't see other all that well.
The monster, reeling in pain from Ixyguin's hit, headed straight towards the young reaper. Lacie evaded by throwing herself to the side, obtaining some damage in the process. Still, she aimed for it's tail with another kick.
"I-I'm sorry. I was so scared to fight by myself.. Is teaming up with you fine?" "Nice to meet you, Liace!" And she meant that honestly--it was always great to find more people to talk and interact with, and this particular figure seemed particularly sweet.
"Of course it's fine! I don't like fighting alone either, to be honest." Ixy smiled, and then turned her attention back to the enemy, watching it closely. She waited until it came after her, nearly getting knocked aside as she brought her weapon down on it.
...And then it was done, phew. "Good job, Liace! "Thank you for letting me join." Lacie bowed down with a polite curtsy. "Ixy is all right, isn't it? Let's have the pleasure of working together next time as well."
She picked up something interesting from the defeated monster with a questioning tilt of her head. Since it was her first battle, she understandbly was confused. Despite that though, she felt it was important to keep it. Then, eying the items that the enemy had dropped, she stooped down and picked some up for the taking.
