The sound caused the individual to stop along his path, only to turn to see a large, lumbering monstrosity moving toward him. It spoke of errors and unable to handle something on "line 13". Aeru edged himself backwards with each step the new being took, but by a small misstep, it took advantage with a whip of it's wiry arm. He'd just escaped a thing. Gotten away by the skin of his fluffy little tail. And yet, here he was sitting back in the spire and watching another lumber along. Straight at the person who'd bumped into him earlier.
Oh no. Oh no he didn't want to fight more... but he had to. A few quick steps brought him closer as he reached out, knocking the thing away as it hit him before looking at the rather tall fellow he was trying to save. "Okay?"

With the entrance of another red-hearted grey-thing, he was relieved that he wouldn't be alone in this fight. Jumping onto a nearby path above him, he charged forth and lept toward with a downward punch! "Good thing, you're here!" The punch landed as he kicked off to put some more distance between them. Wincing, Aeru rubbed his wrist. The body of the creature was harder than he had expected, but he now saw a few of its openings... getting to them would be difficult to get to though. The person was thankful for him being there. This was excellent! IT MEANT HE WAS USEFUL! He was needed! He was! This explained what he was good for after all, even if he'd failed terribly on his own. He just needed someone to protect.
Sadly he wasn't the best at it as the fellow thanked him before lunging at the thing and... hurting himself. Rather than fighting with the beast the boy toddled over to check on him, managing to get hit along the way. Still, was his friend alright? Maybe? "Carefah."( He was from WP so his ability to speak is FAIL. He's not stupid, he's just never spoken much. Well good! His friend managed to hit it. Now.. while it wasn't paying attention...
And rather suddenly, the beast would find itself with the full body assault of a thirteen year old knocking it over. Which was odd... it seemed far more affective than it should have been. Not to mention he had this odd urge to growl while trying to beat at the thing as it whacked him back.

And then, then he had the thing smacking at him again and it was time to duck for cover. Because that hurt. It hurt it hurt it hurt...

Ok, really... he needed to stop doing that. Ducking for cover when it hurt did NOT solve the issue of this thing repeatedly smacking him. A low grumble of a grow escaped him as he peeked out as the thing hit him once more before leaping at it again. This time managing to knock it down before smashing it's face of a screen in.
To which it responded by fizzling a bit and popping off out of existance. Puppy had succeeded in one thing. Breaking the thing. With the beast defeated, Aeru panted as he came to the corpse of the eletrical monstrosity. Reaching down, he plucked a piece off of it. "You are a pretty good fighter, squirt." He chuckled before tossing a hand at him, to help release some of the pain he could be feeling at the moment. "Perhaps next time, you don't bring something like this with you, okay?" (( Aeruban has obtained  ! )) Looking at the small piece, it glowed red just like his own heart. Perhaps these things have some sort of significance, but he could dwell on that later. Putting it into his pocket, he waited for his companion to finish what he needed before wandering off again.

Having properly smashed the ever loving beans out of the thing, he could only pant and look to his friend for praise. Which came. Sort of. The fellow did something, he wasn't sure what, but it certainly made him hurt a bit less as he wagged his tail.
The next comment, however, halted that. The thing was his fault? He bought it? So they were coming after him?
...Aeru might as well have ended the world at that point, because Ako's face merely fell to levels he couldn't even begin to explain. Sad dog was so sad he almost missed the two shiny bits at his feet, though he did stoop down to pick them up. Just briefly.2x get.
