When one of the creatures moved towards her, Lyzzi readied her weapons, stabbing it as hard as she could. She half-expected someone familiar to come tumbling out of a bush, or jump in from the side to join her, and was disappointed to find herself still alone after the first hit. A precise second hit sent the creature tumbling backwards before crumbling away.
