Igny frowned. It seemed the number of monsters in their lair was increasing. Were they not sent forth by the goddesses? Why were the great ones not striking these foes down?

Really, Liom was feeling pretty great. Done his first task, gotten his first real blessing along with a more solid form. Stepping away from the Shrine, though, got him face to face with some weird... weird thing.
And a shadow girl trying to go at it. Didn't seem to be doing much against it, letting a wicked grin spread on his lips. Time to prove himself! Save the girl, save the day, time to prove himself! He lunged at it, pushing it slightly with his elbow (it had totally meant to be more awesome, but he wouldn't let her know that).

At first Liom opened his mouth, but then promptly closed it. Who was he to complain if it seemed to get her into mood of fighting. She seemed to be doing pretty well after all.
"Sure!" Shifting around her, Liom made sure she was out of the way before he pulled back his arm and simply punched the thing in the glowing part that seemed to be its face. The screen shattered, sending it sputtering until it fell to the ground.
"Oh hey, nice." Surprised even himself. There even seemed to be loot. "Wanna have a go at it?
