It scrambled out of the shadows haphazardly, limbs barely suspending it's bulbous form. Something about the way it appeared sent a ripple down Wiki's spine. Whatever these creatures were, they were not to be trusted. He readied a battle stance.OOC

His first jab was an utter failure, his feet swept over one of the creature's arms and he went tumbling to the ground. Strange, he recalled this being easier somehow. Dusting himself off he rose again, eyeing the creature with a determined stare as it circled round.OOC

He was starting to get the hang of this. He dodged the creature's wobbly form, and brought a hand around, nails scraping ... well, the frayed, decaying surface of the being.

The creature charged at him seemingly out of the blue. He dodged left and swung round, bringing his legs and feet up hard against the creature's round body, giving it a good wallop of kicks.
Why did this suddenly seem so simple, so natural?? ... He leapt back and readied himself for another assault.

Again the creature bumbled forward, but he was ready. His fist came down hard across the creature's midriff, and he stared as the thing fissured and cracked, breaking into tiny pieces that washed away like the mist from the lake rapids.
That had been astonishingly easier than he expected. But he somehow felt this was only the beginning.

As the pieces faded away, he noticed something oddly colored among them. He bent down to examine the ground, and what he came up with was a crescent-shaped fragment from the beast.
Peculiar ... but perhaps it would be useful.
