Leucite had found that patrolling near the Destiny City University Campus granted him a near bumper crop of energy - and (un)fortunately a few starseeds as well. Thankfully none this evening, he was hoping the dealers were getting the hint and avoiding the DCU campus. He'd been stalking a female student who was walking home from the campus. She was about to hit a dark patch of the block, where one of the streetlamps had lost its bulb. Leucite had decided that this would be his chance to drag her into the shadows and take her energy. As she entered the patch of inky black, he jumped down to the street and quickly grabbed her by the hair, clamping a hand over her mouth and dragging her deeper into the shadows. "Scream or struggle and you will die."It was all he ever had to say. Keeping his aura sense up, he placed his hand on the girls chest and began to absorb her energy. Hoping to add it to the other two orbs he'd gather that evening. elza magica My apologies for the late start, got eated.

Patrol exposed Ruthie to drunks and thieves and creatures of the night and she hated it. No matter how far she pulled up her yellow hoodie, she felt vulnerable, and even when she powered up, she felt weak, as if people could see soft and despairing Ruthie through her tiara and sparkles.
At least I can run and jump now, she reasoned, A stronger get-away, but still, attacking is rough. Maybe if I see someone in danger, the fire will rise within...
As if by fate, when Ruthie turned the street corner, she witnessed a sharply dressed man pull a girl about her age into an alley. Her eyes widened and she powered up. Okay, Ruthie, this is your chance. Show the bad guys what Medea's all about--
Clutching the ruffles of her giant, pink skirt, Medea ran after the man in the blue suit. She wouldn't let him get away! No matter how impeccable his tailoring! She would rip out the seams if she had to--anything to save the girl he pulled into the alley. She would throw punches if she couldn't reason with him (She hoped that, in the event she landed a punch, he wasn't too attractive or young, or she would feel bad about bruising).
This shock would fuel her! She could do it!
"You there!" she said from the entrance of the alley, pointing at the man. "Although you look very fashionable and cutting-edge, I must ask you to unhand that girl!"
For good measure, she added: "She does not appear to consent to your hand on her chest!"
Would he listen to the pink, gold and sparkly senshi? She couldn't tell.

He was glad he had been paying attention to that new sense that becoming a Negaverse agent had brought, because he'd felt the sudden birth of order energy nearby. So he had not been caught unawares - this time - when he heard the senshi barking at him to put the girl down. He remained silent as he finished his task, allowing the now unconscious girl to slip to the ground, while he pocketed the energy. It was only then did he turn an acknowledge the senshi. Looking her over, he shook his head slowly and clicked his tongue, his booted feet moving him slowly across the ground of the alley as he sized up the girl. "I have to say - I think that's the first time I've ever been complimented by one of your kind."Words were important - as was tone with dealing with these... people. "So I will be generous. If you leave now, and do not bother me for the rest of the evening, I will let you walk away with your pretty little face intact. I will not maim you, I will not kill you, and I might actually let you walk away without hurting you at all."One step closer, then another, slow, deliberate. What did he have to fear form a senshi? Nothing. "You are not the first of your kind I have encountered - nor I doubt the last. Each of you has been quite the annoyance. Interrupting my work. This energy doesn't go to waste you know - it goes into better protecting this world... from you and your ilk."He was almost within arm's reach now, allowing the full six feet of his frame to cut the form of the noble - if beleaguered - hero. "So then - will you go run off into the night, tail tucked between your legs?" He finally reached out, cupping her chin in his hand and forcing her to make eye contact. "Or do I have to brutalize your pretty little body until you don't even remember who you are? There are things I can do to you - things you couldn't even dream of..." His voice was cold and dark - full of hate and loathing. "And I wouldn't feel an ounce of guilt, because torturing you would only serve the greater good."His grip tightened on her chin as his lips curled into a dark and angry sneer. "So then, will you try to fight me? You have one shot - better hope you take me down.""Otherwise you're probably going to die."elza magica He does like to torture the cute ones for some reason...

Aw man, she thought as he lifted her to meet his gaze. Why did you pull that girl into the alley? Under lighter circumstances, Medea would have playfully nipped his hand or at least given him her number. She found dark, tormented, hateful Byronic heroes like him made powerful contrasts to her soft flightiness, and those compliments! How she loved compliments--even in the midst of spite. They lifted her out of her melancholy and insecurity, and for a moment, she looked at the lieutenant with the warmth of burning honey...
...But then he put out the physical threat.
"Oh."
Hmm.
Well.
That put a damper on things.
Her gaze became dark with concentration. She didn't want to hurt this guy, but he was the enemy, and he seemed very familiar with killing (a turn-off, but maybe he was bluffing!).
Besides, the girl needs an ambulance, and if he's intent on killing, I doubt he'll let me through to help her, she thought, justifying her next move beyond romantic disappointment, and if I don't stop him now, he'll do this again.
"I'm sorry!" she said, and shot forward a punch straight for his abdomen.Torvil Haha, Medea's cool with it. ;D Have fun!

Well then, game on! Leucite was true to his word, letting her punch directed at his abdomen land true. He said he'd give her one shot and he meant it. He was not unused to punches being thrown at him - both powered and unpowered. Allowing his abs to contract right before the blow struck, he managed to sap some of the bite out of the punch. It also probably felt like Medea was punching a wall instead of a body - but that wasn't any of his concern. Once her hit landed, he grunted and brought his head hard forward, aiming to impact his forehead against the crown of her own skull. A dirty move - but Leucite was never one to fight fair. One hand also went to trap her arm against his body, aiming to twist her wrist and lock her in place even as his other hand gripped at her outfit. He was going to try and get her on the ground - from there she would be at his mercy. Then she would learn you never messed with the Negaverse. elza magica Awwww, she's adorable. I almost feel bad for how horrible Leucite is going to scare the ever daylights out of her.

"FFFFF--" She didn't expect his abs to be so brick-like (again, in a different context, she would have felt quite pleased!), and a grunt?! She gaped in shock. How could this go well if her punches couldn't even hurt? She expected him to curl on the ground, trembling before her power...
But noooo. She was just as short and soft as earlier.
Maybe if I enchant-- He brought down his head against hers. "Owww." Just need to grab somethi-- He wrapped his hand around her wrist. She shut her eyes. Her head throbbed. She felt his suit against her fingertips. If she enchanted the suit, maybe she could buy time to escape or rescue the girl? Was the girl even still unconscious or freaked out and curled up against a wall?
Was this even about the girl anymore? Or was it about two people trapped in a battle between forces neither could fully imagine? Could this man even tell her why exactly the Negaverse drained energy? Even if he did, she still didn't understand why it specifically involved Senshi...
How confusing! And her head hurt so much...
Maybe if she escaped she could call an ambulance, but would he hurt the girl in the meantime? He certainly held no qualms about hurting her.
Perhaps he would kill her, and if she died, she definitely couldn't save the girl. She closed her eyes, and pressed a pointed finger against the stranger's suit. She worried that she wouldn't have enough time to escape or awaken the girl, and even if she enchanted the suit, he could keep an eye on her by raising his sleeves in her direction and glancing at her peripherally.
Still, a small chance of escape outweighed certain death.
"Alluring Enchantment!"
Her hands glowed a second before the pink light shifted to the lieutenant's top.

Leucite was about to close in for the kill when she did her little magic. It reminded him why he hated magic - of any kind. Growling as his eyes refused to move from his top, he was forced to let her go or have to twist his neck in such a way that was physically impossible. He stopped moving and just stared at his top, trying very hard to focus on something else. It was almost impossible, he could break his eyes from it for a second before they were drawn right back in. So he sat and waited, knowing that it would wear off eventually, and when it did. Oh she was in for a world of hurt.

Medea smiled as her hands slipped from his grasp and laughed when he sat down. She didn't expect such resignation, and she rewarded it by tousling his hair. She just...She couldn't help it. His hair looked so soft, and it was! Against all reason and fear she said, "Cute."
She hoped that was okay. Was that okay? Oh man, what if she just made things worse for herself? How long did this enchantment last? A day? A year? She shook her head (the throbbing died a little, thankfully) and focused on more urgent matters:
To escape or help the girl?
ESCAPE, cried her instincts. SCARY MAN IS SCARY.
Then she looked at her little victim.
Naaaaah.
She ran to the girl and poked her shoulder. "Hey. Are you alive?"
The girl opened an eye. Is it okay? she mouthed. Medea helped the girl up. The girl brushed herself off and ran out of the alley. Medea felt like a true hero. She saved someone! She brought her hands to her cheeks and gave a soft: "yay." Happy endings really did prevail!
Now.
How long did the enchantment last?
She started for the main road.Torvil NO SHE MUST DO RIGHT THING. GLHF MEDEA. GLHF.

After about twenty seconds of listening to his opponent skitter around the alley, Leucite finally found himself able to tear himself away from his uniform. That had been moderately annoying, so he quickly jerked his head up to start looking for his target again. Spotting her making a break for the main road, he didn't care about the other girl - he'd already gotten what he wanted from her. Now it was time to show this senshi why she didn't mess with the Negaverse and make them look like fools. Charging her, he lowered his shoulder slightly in an attempt to tackle her to the ground. This was going to get ugly - and fast.

Nooooo. Medea heard footsteps. Crap. Why didn't she keep track of how long the enchantment lasted during her last battle? This was bad. At least gaming taught her to always move and never stay consistent. She started running in zigzags, and even looked over her shoulder to shout, "It doesn't have to be this way!"
She even apologized before she punched him! (Though he did offer to let her go without a fight...)
Well, I screwed this up, Medea thought. She wondered if in another time, without this violence abundant in the city, they could arrange peace talks or compromise. With everyone on edge--ready to attack or defend with the fall of night--it seemed impossible.
More importantly, she figured, I should be wondering how much makeup I'll need to cover the bruises if he catches me.
One more step and she'd be out of the alley. She hoped if she made it, a stranger on the main road would help her or at least call the authorities.

When Leucite got within tackling distance of the girl he allowed himself to leap forward, arms outstretched to tackle the female to the ground. He was going to ensure that she learned the hard way that you didn't mess with the Negaverse. But he wasn't going to hurt her physically. No - that was too easy. He'd mess with her mind as much as he could though, sow the seeds of doubt. Instill as much fear in her as he could. Maybe drain her energy a bit if he could manage it, he'd have to see how much she struggled. He'd had to resort to hurting his new toy so soon - but he would do what he must. But first, he had to bring her down, and hard, so that he could do as he pleased with her. elza magica Sorry for the delay - family got sick then I caught the bug. UGH. OTL

She leapt into the air and he caught her by the ankle. She gasped and wildly swung her legs. Her starseed! No! Her precious starseed! What would he do to her? According to Zee, if a Dark Mirror Senshi caught her, it would be far worse--maybe they would make her into a puppet--but corruption or death didn't seem much better.
EIther way, someone would reach inside her chest and crack her soul open.
Could she plead her way out of this? He proved himself as a strong fighter, and the girl escaped. Did they really need to fight? She looked at him from over her shoulder.
Zee told her to chat up the enemy. Tell them about it. Let them know they had an out.
"We don't..." She gasped and covered her head with her hands. "We can be friends." She shook. "You don't have to hurt..."Torvil It's okay! <333 Was looking forward to continuing this little brawl! =D

Really? When the girl collapsed onto the ground and covered her head with her hands like frightened child, Leucite couldn't hold back to snort of derision. Pathetic. Why were they always pathetic. Begging, whimpering and simpering about how they could all be friends and they could all get along without hurting each other. Bullshit. It was the biggest load of bullshit he'd ever heard. This was a war, a war over the fate of the planet and to imagine that it could have any other outcome than the total annihilation - or better yet - conversion of either side, was foolish at best and hopelessly idealistic at worst. Pulling the girl by her ankle toward him, his hand moved for her throat as he tried to roll her onto her back, his knee moving to try and pin her down to the pavement. "Oh, but we do..." Leucite purred darkly, his voice growing husky and low. "We can never be friends... Not unless you chose to join us - and frankly you're not worthy." He sneered down at her as he licked his lips. "So I'm going to hurt you in the worst way possible..."He'd leave that to her imagination. "But when I'm done, you'll wish I had just killed you..."elza magica I did warn you Leucite is a horrible, horrible person right?

Well. That failed. He actually seemed fairly satisfied with Negaverse orders. He licked his lips and purred as he dismissed her. Generally, people refrained from such activities if they felt unhappy with their duties. Shaking, Medea frowned. As much as she valued life, forgave, protected and dismissed, she would have to hurt him. He rendered her imagination volatile and horrific. She felt more terrified than when she cut the cable at the abandoned power plant.
When he pulled her toward him, she shoved her knee forward, hoping to drive it into his gut. She worried about the hand on her throat, but maybe he would be too surprised to react?
She hoped so.
Fear and adrenaline pushed her to forsake every happy memory of the Negaverse for now. They would only impede her survival.

Finally some fight out of her. Leucite was pleased by this - most pleased. He felt the knee impact his gut, and leaning into it, he allowed his fingers to squeeze her throat as his body spasmed, the air being driven out of his diaphragm. The important thing was to keep a firm grip on her throat, keeping up enough pressure to not completely cut her airway, but make it really hard to breathe. He didn't want to kill her, or render her unconscious. He wanted her awake - he wanted her scared and thrashing and panicked. He wanted to see the realization that she could easily be killed bloom in her eyes and that pure sweet innocence that there was any other outcome than killing her foes be swallowed up. He wanted her to beg and plead and cry for her life. But most of all - he wanted her to fight. She was fighting back now -but how long she would, or could, do so was yet to be seen. Her knee had hurt, and he forced air back into his lungs as he moved his hand from her ankle to grab the knee and push it away, moving his body to try and keep her pinned to the ground as best he could. He realized how terrible this would look to any passerby. What it might occur to her what he was planning to do. But he didn't care about the perception of the event. He wanted to break her spirit. Only then could the real fun begin. elza magica Very, very bad. <3 That's half his charm.
