It's called The Blue Rose.

At least, that's what you think it's called. The sign above the door is faded and broken, only a few letters visible beneath the grim and the dirt and the years of wear and tear and abandonment. At one point in time it might have been considered a place of great beauty; and perhaps somehow it still retains an eerie, dark sense of that. A strange, otherworldly, dark and messy beauty that hides many things within its shadowy, dilapidated walls...things that whisper to you from the dark, entice you to come inside and see what mysteries it holds...

Trying to navigate through the Blue Rose is lying walking across a field of landmines. There are beams of wood that have collapsed over the course of time, splinters of wood and shards of glass littering every surface, making it crunch and snap and crack beneath your feet.

AREA ONE: The Main Hallway

It is old and covered with litter. The lights have long since broken, and it is difficult to see, as there are very few windows to let in light (though there is hardly any light outside as well). The walls creak and sway, and sometimes it feels as though nothing is steady enough to keep strong...

...there are eyes in the shadows...


THE MECHANICS:
To get through the hallway, you must be able to get past the debris that falls from the shattered ceiling.

Roll 1d6 until you manage to make it across:

1 - Several shards of glass collapse as you make your way across, cutting into you. (-3 HP)
2 - You try to climb over the debris, but it is heavy and cumbersome and confusing and you wind up getting stuck where you are. (-1 HP)
3 - A series of old shelves block your way. When you try to move them, you get a series of splinters in your hands. (-2 HP)
4 - You manage to make it across without any particular incident, surprisingly enough (safe)
5 - A beam swings down and cracks against your skull, and you have to wonder if that was somehow intentional... (-10 HP)
6 - You are quick and are able to successfully dodge most of the debris. (safe)

AREA TWO: The Bedrooms

Perhaps this was once where lovers came to meet, came to whisper secret nothings in each other's ears late at night when no one else would hear them. The wallpaper of the walls is stripped down and fading, crackling with age and stiffness. The carpeting is faded almost to an unrecognizable color, while the once immaculately made beds are dirt strewn and sunken in.


THE MECHANICS:
To get through the bedrooms you must first fight your way across the debris and the mess and whatever else lies beneath the surface, for there is more than just splintered ruins here...

The boss has 10/10 HP and does 2 auto damage. You must first defeat it if you wish to move on to the last room.

AREA THREE: The Parlor

It could have been grand, once upon a time, but now it is anything but. However, the once beautiful room still holds a fragment of its former glory, its gold fixtures faded to brass, its pianoforte still standing off to one side as though one might come and play it again sometime.


THE MECHANICS:
The door to exit the Parlor is locked. Oddly enough, it seems that the key to exit comes in the form of a musical key - meaning you must try and play the pianoforte correctly in order to get out.

Roll 3d6 and follow the guidelines below (they do not have to be in that exact order as long as the numbers are the same):

THE EXIT

The back door of the hotel is quiet, deserted, half shrouded in debris and metal and glass and wood. However, among all of the wreckage are, oddly enough, three small, glowing orbs of color that draw your eye towards them, that beckon towards you, reach out to you, call to you...

Vast At entered the run down building, the hotel seemed nice enough - or had been he was sure. He moved slowly and deliberately at first, before he noticed the debris.

Oh this was going to be interesting...

Sprinting as quickly as he could, he managed to avoid injuring himself on the debris. Counting his blessings, he moved deeper into the hotel.

Vast At was surprised to find the hotel room seemingly empty, until something swiped at him from out of the dark. He swiped back, growling angrily as he nursed the small wound he'd acquired. But he was ready to fight if need be.

He would make it through.

The next swipe still hurt, but he was unable to find the moster. Growling low in his throat he kept looking around for his attacker.

Growling again, he swatted at his attacker, he didn't like this one bit - but he was determined to see this through to the very end. He wanted to see what lay in the next room. He didn't care how much he had to fight to get there.

He was growing weaker with each swipe, but he was hoping that the enemy was too. With any luck, one more hit would be all it would take to move on.

Vast At finally took the enemy down, panting and limping his way onward to the next room. That had been really unpleasant. Very unpleasant indeed.

As he started to play he realized it definitely didn't sound right at all. Then out of the darkness something struck him hard and he dissiapated, hearing only the music...

[Enter from the Spire]

She had walked for such a long time. The last battle had put sent her in a way she hadn't even anticipated. Not only had she ended up in the Ruins but had bypassed all of it together to find this place. She had looked at it curiously before entering and walked in with the same curiosity. Like the area she had passed in coming here it was part of an old ruined city. It was still a wonder that she managed to get here without going anywhere else first.

The fog certainly had its way of getting her hopelessly lost and in new areas.

Litter covered the floor in small mounds as she carefully stepped over one or two to view the Main Hallway. There wasn't much to see though as it fell dark in the hallways, it was unsettling but exciting to the petite figure as she took another step forward, blinking back the idea that something was watching her.

It was actually uneventful as she made hops over some debris piles and found her way through the hall in a few quick jumps. She shook her body and looked back down the hallway and it seemed to darken even more - if that was possible. Shrugging she moved into the next area, wondering what would happen next.

She had crossed into an area of bedrooms which she didn't even want to know what had happened end. Peeking into a few she shrugged, scooting past one until there was a twitch in her ears. It was low, scraping... odd. She blinked and entered the nearby room again, staring at something that had appeared.

Behind the new body she saw a door with pale, faded letters pointing off in a direction. She could barely make out the word but was curious nonetheless. Whatever it was seemed to be a pile of debris come to life. She blinked, turning her head sideways. It wasn't scary, disturbing to a point but more in her way than anything.

"Hey." She said, though it ignored her. She was going to have to make it move, but rather than make an actual attack moved to the side of a nearby pile before diving into it. It stayed in place and she sighed. "There's gotta be away."

This time she shoved it back and it fell over, much to her happiness. But nothing was ever over so simply and she backed away as it seemed to re-manifest itself and loomed over her. Her ears might have well popped off of her shadowed head with the shock of the larger size.

It swiped at her and she felt it hit her arm, maybe even enough to cause a bruise. Her eyes looked back at it and she frowned, growing a little frustrated. Should it be hard? Easy? There was no way to tell, it was made of this place and in this place she wasn't going to get a hand out or a helping hand.

She made a sound which sounded like a balloon with air escaping and tapped her fingers against her arm, tilting her head right and left like a bobble head doll. What this time?

She backed away by slapping at its "face" before dodging to the side and making for the door. It managed to wrangle her with some of the old carpeting and she fell short, wriggling around to facing it again. It wasn't going down without a fight but in her eyes it was still going down.

After all getting to the next area would be worth it in the end, she had a feeling it would be.
