It hadn't taken long to sort out what clan Gowe was in when he was sorted. It was up to him to travel and look for the wolf clan and see if they'd accept him among their ranks in their clan. Wana had sought out her pride to be with her and been accepted. He was determined to join her specific clan as well and court her.
The travel to the wolf clan was fairly easy as the clans weren't to far apart. They all shared the same lands which made travel that much easier. Though the mountain terrain was another story for some one so accustomed to traveling on flatter lands. But the lion managed to get there in one piece.
The scents clued him in that he had arrived.
Taking a moment to take a breath the lion decided to move forward.

Gowe stretched herself out as she exited her den on this fine day. Wana had been gone for along time, but her spirits were still up. Something about today felt special. The teal tattooed lioness shifted and moved through the clan with a smile on her face, greeting everyone she could think of and then some. However, something familiar caught her eye and she paused, mid step and stared. Wana? Was it really him? WELL! This must be why it felt like such a good day. With a huge smile on her face, she just stayed there, watching him, waiting to see if he'd actually recognize her. Her tail lashed about behind her with nervous, but playful, energy.

Wana padded onward with his head kept level. His mind racing of just what to say when he did come across Gowe. It wasn't creepy... was it? Joining up with her pride and clan for her? It wasn't like they were mates as of yet. There was a chance she might already have some one and he'd signed up to silently watch her and her own happy family while his own heart broke inwardly. All these depressing outcomes danced around the lions head as he moved forward. He almost didn't see the lioness up ahead. Almost. There was defiantly a lioness up ahead... Which looked a lot like... Wana squinted. Gowe? His ears lifted as did his head. His eyes widened as did his smile. "GOWE!?" He called.

Ahah! He did know who she was. Bounding over to him, Gowe ended up tackling him into the ground and flopped on him in a friendly sort of greeting of headbutts and nuzzles miexed with laughter. It didn't even occur to her that maybe he didn't want closeness or that she was violating his personal space because all he knew is that this was her friend and she wanted to attack him with affection.
"Thought I wouldn't see you again for a long, long time!" She said between breathless laughter, grinning wide.

Wana wasn't expecting her to be so welcoming. But to be honest, he wasn't sure what it was that he expected. To be honest, he was a bit expectationless.
Regardless the lion was happy to have Gowe greet him in such a way and he happily returned the nuzzles and head butts. The anxiety of running in to Gowe now gone softened the gentle males eyes.
"It has and I've talked to your elders and joined your clan. I won't be a wandering stranger to these lands or you any longer. I want to .." He paused. He wanted to prove he was a suitable mate but saying that out loud just seemed a bit on the awkward side.
"It's so good to see you!" A change of subject also worked.

Those crystal blue eyes blinked a few times as he spoke, and Gowe pulled away enough to let him up, giving him a sheepish sort of unapologetic look. She was so not sorry for tackling him into the ground. Nope not at all. Not one little bit.
Her tail flicked behind her in wide, happy moves as she nodded, beaming wider at him, laughing. "You're joining? Good! I like seeing you about! You like... fit in really well here! At least I think so.. You've got that whole.. You know.. easy going nature about you that almost everyone else does." The grin on her face couldn't have been any wider. Gowe was really, really glad he wasn't leaving. That would make her so sad if he just came to say goodbye. On the other paw it would make her even more sad if he didn't come to see her at all.
"So, you're in my clan? In Wolf?"

"I've wandered the lands and it took some time but I believe this pride has what it is that I really am looking for." He gave her a know it all grin. No way he was going to say 'I found my home in you'. After all that was creepy even if Wana thought it to be true. He had better tact than that.
"Ah .. Wolf clan. Shoot I think I joined the wrong one! REALLY? You're in the wolf clan. Ahhhh nuts! I messed up." He hadn't. But he wanted to tease her.

Sometimes tact was a good thing, but not if you're talking to a very thick female such as Gowe. She wasn't stupid, it just took a little longer for her to realize certain things. Grinning at that, she nodded and then blinked when he said he messed up.
"Oh, no, no, no! No, stop it's fine! Even if you're not in Wolf Clan we can still see each other! ...Yeah, because how else would the whole guy changing clans for his mate thing happen otherwise? N-not... Not that you're..." Crap! That was implying something they hadn't talked about and she just flopped down and put her paws over her face.
"I mean it's fine! It really is!"

The whole guy changing clans to mate? They were on the same page. Wana stood there with quite the amused look on his features. Mate? Really? Same page. It was meant to be thank the gods.
"Well its a good thing that I'm actually in the Wolf Clan then," He didn't want to say mate out loud. But he really wanted the same thing. He wanted to be with Gowe and protect her and start a big family and even be part of Gowe's big family. He just wanted to be around Gowe.

Her paws were removed and she gave him a bit of a dry look before blowing air out at him like that would teach him something. "Wana you big... Joker! You gave me a heart attack! Ugh." She rolled over on her back and just swiped a paw at his chin before going to bite at one of his legs in a playful manner. Gowe was nothing if not playful. She loved playing at all times of the day, as long as she wasn't required to be completely serious. She was a true cub at heart. Never really grew up in that department.
"You're going to love it here. Wolf clan is the best clan, but you didn't hear that from me."

"OWWW!"
Wana gave her an embellished hurt look after she nipped at him followed shortly by a smile. It was true though, Wana was a joker. He preferred things on the lighter more playful side which was why he was so drawn to Gowe.
"It has to be the best clan. I imagine a lioness such as your self wouldn't settle for any less."
He paused.
"But besides that. Would you care to accompany me for a stroll on the boarder?" For old time sakes was left out.

"I wouldn't be born to anything but the best." She humphed and sat up straight before shaking her pelt free of the dirt she'd effectively rolled around in. "I would love to stroll with you. I was on my way towards the borders to see if I was needed for a hunting party. You can be my escort and I can feel fancy." She gave him a playful laugh before moving up to bump shoulders with him and walked ahead of him.
"Come on, slow poke!"

So she could feel fancy. How could Wana refuse?
"Alrig- HEY .. Im not slow." He laughed and quickened his pace to match hers. Gowe deserved an escort and deserved to feel fancy. If that was what she wanted the lion would be more than happy in helping with that.
