Seiki puzzled over what to feed Kimia. She had been living with him for a little bit now. It was... almost strange. Could she really handle his diet or... did he have to..... "I... I don't think I can do that all the time." Knitting his brows he looked towards her sleeping form and whimpered a bit. "Ugggh, I don't know what to do."
Seiki's diet had become a bit of a surprise to Kimia. Hunting turtles had been a fun experience, but she'd no idea some lions preferred hunting... plants over prey. She didn't think anything less of Seiki, the uniqueness of it made her admire him even more. But it still meant that she'd been feeling extra hungry lately, trying as hard as she was to sort of follow his diet. She rolled to her side, stomach grumbling even in her sleep and whined lightly. Her ears flicked and suddenly she sneezed, waking up. "Seiki?" She called out, confused for a moment as to why he wasn't beside her.
His ears perked straight up at the sounds that Kimia made, and then some once she spoke. Moving swiftly towards her, he cocked his head, questioning what it was she needed. All the turtle shells to which he had depleted all dried meat and herbs of were laying scattered about the front of the den. He wanted to get her something to enjoy... but it was looking more and more likely that he'd have to hunt something for her to enjoy. "Yes, m'dear?"
She smiled when she heard him, rolling to her back and reaching a paw up to touch him lightly on the shoulder. "Oh, I thought you weren't here for a moment..." She sounded relieved that her thought wasn't true. He stomach grumbled again and she looked slightly embarrassed. She started to get up, wondering how to ask what she wanted. "Uuuhm... Seiki?"
Seiki brushed his cheek lightly atop Kimia's paw while it rested on his shoulder. The warmth he felt from it made him smile a bit wider. "Who could leave a pretty girl to her own devices like that?!" Backing up, he awaited her to get up as well, noting the sudden rumbling of her stomach. "Seems you might be hungry... I was going to ready a meal for use both... but I am out of meat for you and plants for myself... Umm..." Shifting around a bit, the starry lion thought of how to approach the subject of diet. He could always work with the remains of the animal, but he didn't want to have to kill them constantly. How would they work this...?
"So, I feel horrible for forcing you to eat as I have been... but I can't see myself killing constantly either. What can I do... to help you, but not put myself in a awkward position?"
If she could have blushed she probably would have. Seiki always knew just the right words to say... she hoped that she could one day return the same sort of words in kind. "Even while asleep?" She giggled, then moved forward and butted her head against his shoulder half playfully and half in a cuddly manner. "Next time you should nap too..." She wondered if she was being too forward. "With me." She mumbled softly, then shyly smiled at him.
The issue of food, she was sure, was something they could sort out. She didn't think she'd seen Seiki like this before, and she thought it was sort of adorable. "You're not forcing me!" She quickly interjected, almost yelling it in her haste to assure him he was doing nothing wrong. "B-but... some fresh meat... might... be nice." She said slowly, not wanting to offend him either. "I mean... I could go hunt... for myself... while you gather what you need, maybe?"
"Even while asleep." The artist assured, taking the cuddly hit from her happily, returning the affect with a large lick to her face. Only, he stopped half-way in shock at her words. "I-I.... is that truly alright?" He continued to blink, stammering and baffled with the idea. All of his body now creeping with heat from embarrassed.
Smiling after he finally recollected himself, he pulled Kimia closer and whispered softly into her ear. "I'd love to."
Once pulled away, Seiki listened closely to what she was saying, feeling badly that he had made her feel the need to interject so quickly with her own thought to help him feel better. However, as she requested fresh meat he began thinking of ideas. He was a trader... he could possibly... "Kimia, no, I couldn't have you risking yourself. How about this? I can trade for food. I already do it on occasion, but I will do it more often for you and every now and again we can hunt together. I will need more material for my work as well."

She felt pleased right down to her toes at his response and nodded, beaming at him, though her eyes still showed she also was a little embarrassed and nervous about the suggestion. But she wanted him to be the one she woke up to every day. She laughed lightly when she was pulled closer to him and nestled her body against his. "Me too!" She purred out. She blinked and nodded as she was listening, considering what he was saying. Her smile was bright as she nodded more firmly. "That sounds like a very good idea, and keeping the hunts only for every now and then will make them special." She laughed a little, joyful. "Do.. do you think you could teach me a little more about your work? Maybe eventually I could help you?"
