There had been one person she hadn't visited for a while; well, sure, she hadn't visited a ton of people in a while, but this one probably had the most common sense and a really level head... And she needed both right now. It would be nice to hear what he had to say about it, regardless of whether she was going to take his advice. Besides, it would be nice to see his ever grumpy face again.
Knocking on his door, she took a step back, and waited for him to answer, wondering if she should have called him in advance to check if he was in.

Shun actually wasn't in at that moment, so Lizzy would receive no immediate response. However, the Reaper was on his way to his room, so he soon spotted the spider demon hovering around outside of his door. Quietly, he made his way over towards her, stopping just behind the girl.
"Is there something you need from me?" he asked calmly. He had just returned from training, from the looks of things.
He was fairly curious as to what brought her here to his door today.

Lizzy uttered something resembling "ahsjhafsjaa" before turning around to face the reaper, "Why. Why can't you approach like a normal reaper being. Why must you approach like a ninja from those shows on skelevision."
Right, because he's Shun.
"Again with that question," She huffed as she folded her arms across her chest, having recovered from her surprise, "Can't I just be visiting a friend?" A long pause followed before she cleared her throat, letting her arms fall to her side, "Although I guess it's true that I have an agenda today... If you're free to chat, anyway."

Shun didn't answer her first question and just stared at her with his usual expression. Instead, he addressed her next set of words.
"If you are just wanting to see me, that is still wanting something," he replied in a matter of fact tone. His brow soon raised as she admitted there was something she was here for. To this, he nodded to her in a simple manner, then went on to open the door to his room.
"Would you like some tea?" he asked as he made his way in.

"But it's a different kind of want," She replied in a matter-of-fact manner before following him into his room. Nodding in response to his question, she made a beeline for the chair at his desk, and dragged it all the way to beside his bed, "Tea sounds nice."

"I suppose so," Shun said as he got started with making a couple cups of tea. He waited by the kettle on the electric stove before turning about to face Lizzy more directly.
"So then, what is on your mind?"

"Hel came to visit me a while ago," Lizzy begun, pulling her legs up so that she could sit with her legs crossed while on the chair, "I've not talked to her since, uh... After breaking up with Mac, we got into a little scuffle last year because I approached her about something and sort of realized that she wouldn't listen unless I... Fought her or something."
Not her brightest idea.
"Anyway, long story short, she suggested that I go talk to Mac because we didn't speak since the break up... And that maybe speaking to him would eventually make me feel less miserable about some things," At this, she sighed, fiddling with a lock of hair before looking up at Shun with a frown, "What do you think...?"

The issue brought up was not something Shun entirely expected to hear. Thinking it over, he leaned lightly against his desk as he waited for the water to boil, crossing his arms in the process.
"Perhaps approaching him would give you a little closure on things. It's also entirely possible that dealing with that asshat would make you feel worse afterwards. It depends on how you go about it, and how he decides to react."
There was a pause.
"If he still cares about you at all, perhaps it'll work out in your favor. I would not get your hopes up too high, however. But, if you go, I suppose you could say you at least tried to amend things, regardless of how things turn out."

"How should I go about it?" She asked, sighing as her shoulders slumped, "I don't even know what I'm hoping for out of it... What exactly is closure? I doubt going back to how our friendship used to be is realistic, so is it just to move on...? But what if he had already moved on? That is very possible, and to be honest... I'm not sure how I feel about that."
She sighed again, exasperated and frustrated, "So do you think I'm not ready to talk to him?"

"Moving on sounds about right. If you're still stuck up on him... then that would be the goal. If he's moved on, then that should make things easier for you to do so as well."Before he could say anything else, the kettle began to whistle. Turning around, Shun turned off the stove and went on to pour the water into two cups that had some tea leaves within them. He didn't pass one over just yet, wanting to let it steep for a bit. "Here's a better question; do you think you'd ever be ready to face him?"

"Am I still stuck up on him? I... Well..." Her frown deepened as she sighed, pushing her palms up against her cheeks in mild frustration, "I guess if I still feel like this-" She made a series of wild gestures to explain the condition of her mind at the moment, "-it must mean I didn't move on yet."
She kept quiet at Shun's question, taking a minute to mull over it before shrugging lightly; maybe she'll never be ready and the only solution is to just do it. Her voice lowered as she looked away, focusing on a spot on the floor, "I never want to go through this type of pain again."

Shun waited quietly as she took the time to think it over. Her answer came to be somewhat unexpected. With a sigh, he glanced down, trying to think of how he should respond.
"Pain is inevitable in our lives. If you're fortunate, you won't deal with this sort of thing again. That isn't to say other sources of pain won't happen, however. But... I was told before that pain is weakness leaving the body. You must overcome what's hurting you, or it'll only linger."

"I must have a lot of weaknesses then," Lizzy replied with a deadpan expression, although she did not do it as well as Shun, "Although I'm not sure all of it is leaving the body."
She wanted to deflate. Like a balloon. Then she wouldn't have to deal with any of it.
"Overcome... So I guess you are in the mindset that maybe I should approach him?" She tilted her head, "Or do you mean do it without approaching him?"

"Do whatever you need to do. Personally, yes, I believe you should confront him."
Somewhere, in the back of Shun's mind, he was hoping that she would end up punching Mac in the face. Or something along those lines. But that wasn't the main reason why he was suggesting this.
"The best way to deal with an issue, is to deal with the source, one way or another. Sometimes this can be done in an indirect manner. However, in this case, I'm not entirely certain how you would deal with Mac indirectly."

"Can't really confront a person indirectly, since they wouldn't know what's up... So I don't have any good ideas either," Lizzy sighed loudly, wondering if she should just resign to her fate for the sake of... Herself.
"So there really is no other way out," She muttered, looking at the cups of tea that Shun had prepared, "That tea better be the calming kind because I don't feel very calm right now."
