Rider
Name: Kelthie
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Rank: Wingrider
History: Kelthie hasn't exactly been very honest throughout her lifetime. Born to a pair of wherhandlers looked up to her parents in every way imaginable. A good deal of her time was spent around them and other handlers, all she wanted to be when she grew up was a handler. It wasn't until she was about ten turns old that she began to notice the way dragonriders treated the handlers, like they were worthless just because they were bonded to a different kind of creature. It angered her to no end. At around twelve turns old she fell into a bit of a vendetta against the dragonriders, often talking about how they were all evil even though she had nothing to back her claims up on.
She was around fifteen turns old when she started to see things she wanted but didn't have. Eventually she came up with a way to solve this, why not just take the things she wanted? It started small, a little knick-knack here and there, something that no one would notice was missing. As time passed and her talent with theft grew she began to grow more and more confident. The items she stole became bigger and bigger, until eventually she spotted something that she absolutely had to have. The riding leathers of a rather wealthy crimson rider, pure white and absolutely gorgeous. In that moment it didn't matter that she wasn't a rider and didn't intend on ever impressing, she had to have them. Not long after deciding this a feast rolled by, the crimson rider getting rather inebriated and removing her leathers, only to drop them on the ground. As the rider failed to notice this Kelthie grabbed them while no one was looking, running off to her room and hiding them among her clothes. Of course she wouldn't be able to wear them and risk someone seeing her in them. But that didn't matter, at least she had them.
The thievery soon developed into trickery, lying to people in an attempt to get them to do what she wanted. Over time she managed to become quite the actress, ignoring all worries she occasionally felt about losing herself. All that mattered was that she got her way. Who knew, maybe she could even use her skill to help the wherhandlers one day. But for all her deception there was something she could never do, resist a challenge and risk being viewed as weak. When a weyrling that she had known when she was younger and knew all too well about her dislike of dragonriders dared her to stand for a hatching, calling her a coward if she refused to, she stepped up to the challenge. What was the worst thing that could come of it? It wasn't like a dragon would choose her.
Come the day of the hatching she was proven to be very wrong. A egg was broken open to reveal an Atypical dragon, a black. He barely glanced at the other candidates before making his way over to Kelthie, declaring himself her Xanoth. She was shocked to say the least. A dragon was the last thing she had wanted! Wasn't she supposed to impress a wher? That was what her parents expected her to do, that was what she was meant to do. Yet she couldn't help but love him, this charming dragon that always seemed to try and make light of the situation.
Weyrlinghood wasn't exactly pleasant but thanks to Xanoth it wasn't very bad either. She graduated with the rest of her class and became a wingrider, never managing to risk above that rank. Several turns after graduation it happened: the wher revolution. Despite having impressed her allegiance was still very much with the people she had grown up with. However, she loved her dragon and did not want to see him neglected. Not to mention that she was scared, scared for her life. So she transferred over to Trine. It was there that she began to spin the largest lie she had ever woven, that she was completely loyal to the riders and wanted the resistance to win this. What she really wanted was her ideal, where the resistance won yet she was not a second-class citizen, even if she would be fine with all other riders being one. It wasn't very fun but one good thing came of it, she got to wear those white riding leathers she stole, not being too large for them thanks to them having been too large for her when she originally stole them. They now wait for things to turn in their favor. This is a war in Kelthie's eyes, a war that the whers must win.
Description: Kelthie is absolutely petite when it comes to size. Not just in height but in build and weight. As far as height goes she stands at a mere 5'1" at her full growth. She is a rather light girl as far as weight goes. Yet she has never been certain about her actual weight thanks to it fluctuating frequently, although she never seems to weigh more than 130 pounds. After several turns of dragonriding she has managed to get herself a layer of muscle, although not much. Her body is just not one that forms and keeps muscle easily. In fact if it weren't for being a rider she would probably be rather scrawny.
Her skin has a tan to it thanks to lots of time spent out in the sun, although even if she had spent all of her life indoors she wouldn't be completely pale. For the most part her skin is in very good complexion. The only exception to this is a small scar on her forehead, just below her hairline. It has been there ever since she was born, the result of a harsh birth. She has thin, pink lips and a rather small nose. Dimples show on her cheeks when she smiles. Her eyes are dark brown, almond shaped, and a little small compared to the rest of her face. Kelthie has long, dark brown hair that goes down to her shoulders.
Personality: When someone describes an old tale about a dragonrider they usually use a pleasant word to describe them. Kind, noble, loyal, honest, fearless, pure of heart, whatever those last one means. Well someone that knows Kelthie might just be hard-pressed to connect one of those words to her. Dragonriders are often described as working hard to save Pern, always thinking of others before themselves. In Kelthie's mind absolutely no one comes before her. Well, no one but Xanoth. Life is about survival, and in order to survive you need to help yourself first. This is something that she lives by and might not ever change her belief of.
If Kelthie sees something that she wants she will have it, one way or another. She has quite a few different ways to go about getting it, but there are two that she uses the most. The first is manipulating. Play with someone's emotions, make them love you, make them think you are on their side, and then take what you want. The other is just all-out stealing. It's very simple, after all. It just requires some stealth and smarts. Plus there is no guilt about it, not for her anyway. In fact Kelthie seems to have no problem with lying in general. After doing it for so long she is a bit of an impulsive liar.
Although she might not seem like it at first Kelthie is actually quite modest. No matter how much she wants something, how hard it might be to get what she wants, she will never use her body to do it. Sure she will wink or sway her hips a certain way but never something that involves taking her clothes off. For her that is reserved for two things, flights and love. Real, actual, sappy love. Part of her is annoyed that she actually believes in that stuff, especially that she wants it. And her habit of trying to push people away if they get too close doesn't make it easier either. But if someone gets close to her she will treasure them. Maybe not put them before herself or never betray them but treasure them all the same.
Despite being a dragonrider she is loyal to the whers through and through, showing her inner hypocrisy. However, that doesn't change the fact that she has a cowardly streak. That was why she for Trine Weyr, she didn't want herself or her dragon to get hurt.

Dragon
Name: Xanoth
Age: 6
Colour: Black
Description: Xanoth is a light shade of black, almost appearing closer to dark gray than anything. It is his markings that give him away for what he really is. All four of his paws are jet black, almost giving him the appearance of wearing gloves. The same black covers his chest and stomach along with the bottom of his wings, making it all too obvious what color he in when looking up at him from below. A medium gray stripe travels from the tip of his nose, down his spine, and to the tip of his tail.
Build, lines, and whatnot will be up to the colorist.
Personality: It often seems like Xanoth is almost never stressed. He moves around without a care in his head, in fact the black is rather care-free as a whole. Along with this there seems to be an air of innocence around him. He asks questions and asks them often, acts like he is a sweet little creature that could do no wrong. If caught doing something he shouldn't be he will almost immediately try to put on a perfect 'I can do no wrong' look. At times Xanoth can make some very bad decisions, failing to really think about something before he acts. In fact this is quite the common occurrence with him. But he is not ashamed or in any way embarrassed by his bad choices. Quite the opposite in fact, most of the time he has complete and total confidence in them. As a matter of fact he is confident in almost everything he does. This black is a rather charming one. He always seems to have a nice compliment to give, the perfect thing to say to draw someone in.
