Setting; CabinFireplace Honoka shook the snow off her clothes as she made her way up her front porch steps. Her clothes were heavy and wet from spending so many hours out in the weather. She had spent at least the last three hours shoveling snow out of her driveway and path that way Shina wouldn't have a problem making it up to her house.
She slipped her house key out of her pocket and unlocked the front door. As the door swung open she began to undo the ties on her boots so that she could leave them just inside the door way and not track to much water around the house. Next stop was the fireplace to get it going and than letting her clothes start to dry.

Shina was all bundled up in a thick, black, snow jacket, a long purple scarf that wrapped around the bottom half of her face and trapped her braid, and a matching purple beanie pulled down over her ears. She couldn't believe how cold it was, but she wasn't about to miss out on her evening. She saw Honoka's house, her driveway all cleared out.
Glad she was at her destination, Shina sped up as she headed up the driveway. Raising her hand, she knocked on the door hesitantly. "H-honoka?" Oh, gosh, she'd never really visited anyone...much.

She had just gotten her clothes hung up around the fireplace on the clothes rack when she heard her named called. "Hmm In here come on in." Honoka called and she headed back to the front door to greet her guest.

Shina heard Honoka bidding her enter from inside the house so she opened the door, popping her head around the door and smiling at Honoka as the other walked towards her. "Hey, there. I hope I'm not l-late." She said, as she kicked the snow off the bottom of her boots and entered. She raised a plastic bag, through which you could see a jigsaw puzzle box, in front of her and smiled again. "I brought the puzzle."
"It's freezing out there, I'm glad it's warm in here. Is there anywhere you want me to put my jacket so that it doesn't get any of your things wet?" Shina asked.

"No your not late at all. Got here just in time. I just finished clearing your path and made it back into the house," Honoka said with a smile."That you did. It looks fun and yet complicated," chuckles before continuing "If you just head down this hall you will find the living room. There is a rack in there next to the fire place where you can hang your stuff so that it drys and I will go grab our food and will meet you in there in a minute," She than closed the door and went down the hall on the right towards the kitchen.

"A-alright." Shina replied with a smile. She headed down the hall almost tentatively, as if she was invading Honoka's house less if she walked slower. She was always a touch awkward when she entered other people's houses the first few times. Shina found the rack, and shrugged out of her jacket, scarf, and hat, hanging them nicely and then putting the now empty plastic bag under them to catch any excess water drips.
Shina headed to the table and opened the box. It was a wildlife scene; a wolf pack howling at the moon. It was one of her favorites out of her still unfinished puzzles. Her eyes jumped to the door to the kitchen and she fidgeted with her blouse.

When Honoka entered the kitchen there was a counter directly in front of her. On the counter was a delicate looking tray that was black with gold rose and thorn design going this way and that. On the tray was two bowls. One had fruits like strawberries and bananas and cherries. The other bowl contained melted down dark chocolate. She walked directly past the tray to the cupboard behind it and took out two wine glasses. She than set them on the tray and grabbed a bottle of wine from her stash and set that on the tray as well before picking up the whole thing and heading back into the living room with Shina. "That looks like a cute puzzle," She told Shina as she made it into the room and set the tray on a smaller side table near the table that held the puzzle.

"Thanks. It's my favorite out of all the ones I still have to do." Shina replied. "I love wolf packs, they're always there for each other and still remain wild and free." Shina looked at the side table and smiled. "Mmm, that looks good." Her eyes sparkled as she looked back at Honoka. "I love chocolate dipped fruits."

"Do you now? Well that was a lucky coincidence on my part if I do say so myself.. I was trying to figure out what type of wine I should get out and then what we should have with it. It took me days to figure it out," giggles a bit at her silly-ness over the whole thing . "I feel if you don't pick your stuff out just right that it will make the food taste bad or the wine and then the experience would be ruined. And I just couldn't have that on our first get together." Honoka took a seat by Shina and looked over the puzzle, "Wolves are very interesting creatures something to be respected and feared and to be awed at because of their beauty," she said in agreement to Shina's statement about them. "So Um.... where should we start?" she asked with a small blush while looking over the puzzle pieces.

“Really?” Shina asked, surprised at all the work and thought that had gone into Honoka's choices. She, in comparison would have probably ended up throwing some random wine in with a meal. “You must be a pretty wonderful hostess. I mean, I know that whites and reds go with different types of meals, but I don't really know much past that.” she smiled as Honoka sat next to her. “I didn't even know wine went with chocolate fruits.” Shina blushed, and opened the puzzle, turning the box over and dropping pieces out.
“Ah, I usually start by grabbing all of the side pieces. I set up the outer ring and work inward.” Shina bit her lip and looked back at Honoka shyly. “But we can do the puzzle anyway you'd like. Some people put pieces in piles of colors, and some by shapes.”

Honoka blushed and smiled at the compliment but tried to waved it off because she was embarrassed."Oh no no this is nothing really. I am sure I am barely breaking the tip of the hostess ice burg but thank you really," She said in a happy calm voice. "I must say I get my knowledge from my mothers. They like to drink all sorts of things and really get into deep conversations about it. In fact that is kind of how they meet. It was at a coffee shop. One of my mothers had ordered tea and the other some form of coffee drink. One asked if they could sit with the other because it was the holidays and the tables were full. There was a yes and they seemed to hit it off after that." has a fond smile at the memory of her mothers meeting.
Honoka gazed at the puzzle before her finding it all a bit overwhelming. Like she had said she wasn't very good at puzzles and generally didn't stick with them long enough. "I am fine with doing the outside edge first. It seems it would be easier that way right?"
