It had been a long journey. His paws were aching and, his heart felt empty..yet there was a small glimmer of hope inside. At the thought of finding his two children. Could they be close by? Would it take foever to find them again and, try to be their father once more? Sighing heavily the stallion stepped through the trees, silent as a simple breeze..barely rustling a leaf. Barely causing a stir or alerting many animals, save the birds of his arrival to this new area. Hunger gnawed at honovi's stomach like a ravenous beast yet he waited to spill a creature's blood. After all this could be someone's territory or a herd's outskirts. His eyes had taken note of a few worn paths here and there.

The large stallion wandered trying to think of everything that has happened recently. He still couldn't believe his youngest cousin was in love with a once member of the flock with paws AND claws. He felt like the family was changing and maybe it was for the better. The kids were more open minded to everything else around them. But today he wasn't going to worry about that and was going to move on from it. He would just have to accept it somehow. "What more could happen in this outrageous family.." He mumbled before sensing another around him. He paused and looked around for something to peek out or something to shift around the trees. "Is someone there?" He called out wondering if it was something that was going to eat him. If so, he was too tired to fight and his mind was a mess right now.

Honovi froze in place when he heard another stallion's voice, ears flickering he inhaled slowly, silently assesing the situation. Yes he could flee that was an option but, his feet gave a particularly painful throb, as if reminding him that it was time to take a break. What harm could there be in talking to someone? Stepping through the trees he looked the other stallion over, head tilting to one side. It had been a long time since Honovi had encountered someone 'outside'. Since leaving the flock it had been a quiet, lonely and painful journey f soul searching. Of trying to figure out what meaning he'd have in the world outside..as he had wondered in the past. Would this male call him a monster and run? Would he judge him as others used to so harshly do with words that cut deeper than any fang or claw ever could? Sighing ever so softly Honovi made his way within ear shot, voice rumbling..paws shifting upon the earth restlessly. "Hello..I apologize if I startled you..I'm simply passing through."

The stallion continued to look around wondering if there was in fact someone there. When he saw the stallion step out, at first he narrowed his eyes noticing his paws and wasn't sure if he was going to attack. He didn't trust many others that looked like they could easily make him a meal, but he had to start since Astraea loved one of them. "You didn't startle me.." He said in a groan easing up on the glare before stepping a little closer. He looked familiar and couldn't for the life of him put his hoof on it at first, but then it finally clicked. "Wait a minute..." He examined him even more before realizing the resemblance. "Do you have a son or a brother that...kind of looks like you, but with talons on his front legs instead of paws?" He asked curiously and if it was true then he was meeting a family member of Mikasi.

Startled at the sudden question Honovi felt his heart jump within his throat, eyes gaining a frantic light..lips barely able to form the name..daring to only whisper it softly. Fearing it could somehow make his son vanish. "Mikasi...?" Weary as he was the male collaped with a drawn out shuddering breath..saying a soft wordless prayer to the gods above..to the spirits for leading him here. "M-my..my son...you..know of him?" For once in not so long Honovi felt delirious and, weak. Like a newborn foal wobbling on too weak legs. "I..left the flock..my mind and, heart grew restless. I felt so empty without them. Felt like the one I once loved was too broken and disappointed to continue loving me..a male who's children had dared leave such a powerful herd. I have to find him..and his sister. They are all I have left in this world." All he had left to live for. His heart gave a painful throb..eyes pleadingly looking up into this strangers. Hoping..praying Mikasi would be near. "I am Honovi..I've come so far and lost so much. Is he here?"

Gabriel raised his brow at the name and couldn't believe he had met someone that knew the stallion which was a one in a million chance. "Yes him." He said before seeing the stallion collapse making Gabriel rush to his side as he tried to help him to his feet. "Your son? Yes I know of him, but first are you alright?" He said for a moment as he tried his hardest to remain calm and not be a brute to him. He seemed fragile at the moment. "Well I'm Gabriel." He shrugged before hearing his question trying to hold back a small laugh. "Actually as fate would have it...he is in love with my cousin. So yes he is around and I'm pretty sure he will be more then happy to meet you." He told the other shaking his head a little. "Ah you left the flock as well. I think you are definitely a strong one then because most aren't able to even do that. Even if you left your love and whatever family there.." He paused grimacing at his next set of words. "You will be part of my family if those two get together." He told him thinking the world was too damn small.

Honvoi grunted and quietly got back to his aching paws, tail giving a wild swish of delight. "Mikasi..he must know where his sister is then. They left together." Chuckling a bit the male silently looked up to the sky, seeming to think deeply over his next words. "I will be alright. Eventually..I hope the pain will fade. That my heart can heal. My paws ache from such a arduous journey...it's been long since I've travelled." Yes..his body felt weak. In the flock he'd hunted leisurely..lazed about and done whatever his mate had desired that day. Otherwise it was nap city..or a silent bit of work on pelts. He'd already showed the male one too many emotions and it made Honovi feel even MORE weak. So at the word family, at finding out his son had fallen in love and found a home he merely smiled quietly. "Gabriel. It is an honor to meet you. The spirits must have led me here..I've been fasting the past few days...I wanted to find them though I suppose it was foolish to push my body this far." Sighing softly his gaze swept over the land...wondering how easy it would be to find food here. "I'd like nothing more than to be a part of a family again. To feel welcomed..but, I also know my paws and..want for meat are off putting, even frightening for many. It will be enough to see my children again and, pehaps meet their potential mates. To be a part of their lives once again." Yes. The urge to simply leave Gabriel and run to find Mikasi. To cry out his name to the heavens until the male came to his side..Honovi could barely stay within his skin. "Please. Would you take me to him? My body won't stay up much longer..I have to see him before my legs give out again."

Gabriel watched how weak the stallion was making him frown. No matter how much the stallion wanted to go find his son and daughter, he couldn't allow that. He was far too weak to even move and there was no way he was going to be able to carry him there in one day. "You need to rest. Don't worry your son isn't going anywhere and either is your daughter. They will be there trust me." He told him as he flicked his tail watching him struggle still. "Don't worry about your urge to eat meat. I'm positive your son eats it to and it doesn't bother us so I doubt the family will have a problem with it." He told him simply before pointing to a spot with his hoof. "Now rest because your not going anywhere in your condition. If worst comes to worst then I will bring your son here." He simply said as he looked around the woods. "So now that you left do you regret it?" He asked curious as to why so many left the flock.

Honovi protested of course, he did not like being viewed in such a manner yet he knew the other stallion was correct. Level headed. He'd become too emotional and, made a stupid mistake by not stopping to rest or eat along the way. Sighing in resignation he settled upon the earth, quietly licking at his aching paws to soothe them before responding. "Part of me does..to lose love and leave someone is not an easy task. It's not something to take lightly. To break bonds..have your other daughter despise you. Know that they will kill you should you ever venture too close..yet..the other part of me feels it was right. There's no turning back regardless so I suppose I shouldn't regret anything. It is in the past.." Smile faltering he settled on a stoic..pensive look instead. Grooming the parts of himself he could reach before relaxing..dozing in and out of sleep. "Tell me Gabriel. Tell me aobut your herd..about the one my son loves.."

The older stallion felt a little sad for this Honovi. He really had nothing other then his two children on the outside of the flock, but he felt that his flock bound family was being a little too harsh about the whole situation. He could tell it was a hard choice for the stallion and definitely wasn't something that would have been a very easy thing to move on from. "You are right and moving on from it would be the better option anyway. Dwelling on the past will simply make you sick and could kill you in the long run." He told the other feeling like he was way too old to be giving advice to others. "My herd?" Where could he even begin. The family was a bunch of wackos and he wouldn't even call them tight nit anymore. "We are a very spiritual bunch. Believing in spirits and that everything has a purpose. My cousin Hania Shen is the one who started the herd and it's more family based which I enjoy more then random strangers. Anyway...his one daughter Astraea is the one who your son loves. She is quiet and prays most of the time. She had been living as a hermit for a long time so I'm rather happy your son came along because he really broke her free of her depression. Her sister hasn't been around much ever since she found herself a mate so Astraea has been broken and sad from it." He told him wondering what was going on with those two now.

It gave Honovi some small sense of pride..that his son had found love. That they had raised him properly enough to fit in among a new herd, that he had found his way in a word he'd never truly known about prior to leaving the flock. "I am pleased to hear that..she sounds like a lovely young mare. What about you? Do you have children of your own?" Gabriel didn't seem that old or too young either..he got mature vibe from the other stallion but, Honovi didn't picture him with young foals for some reason.

Gabriel only hope the two of them loved one another enough to stick it out without heartache. He had seen too many break apart and this stallion before him was so destroyed because of it. "I.." He paused trying to figure out how to explain his situation. "I have 3 children so far..one girl and two boys. Then I have an adopted son, but that is all. My relationship though is a bit more complicated and I'm not sure you would want to hear it." He said shrugging his shoulders. He was in love with a stallion that treated him like a pet or an object. How could you explain something like that? "Not sure I want any more, but never know what can happen." He nodded.
