Something has been going on. Rumors of the Goddess Hakuna'jina being distraught, and most recently...visions coming to the seers of the pride, visions of conflict and peace, of dusk and dawn, of glowing eyes and bulky masses of shadow and fire. But that isn't what the day is for.
Recently, Healer Kaida bore a litter to a wandering rogue, and the pride has gathered to celebrate the new lives. There is plentiful food brought in by the hunters, plenty of trinkets made by the crafters, and more than a few fermented fruits brought in by those inclined towards such things. It's a time of celebration, merriment, and happiness.
But when things are strange, gossip happens and who knows what might happen. The Peponi-pya have always had strange things happen when there are large gatherings.
[[OOC INFO]] This is the first ORP on the Peponi side of Elysium & the Inferno! In it, there's a party and chance for gossip! There's also a twist to this ORP...
You have a chance to win a rather handsome little boy who is the son of Kath and Pawsie's Knight and Princess! Each post by a non-pride owner in this ORP is a ticket to a raffle at the end! Once all is said and done, the following boyo will be raffled off among the participants! Those who are traveling with Kath's Athena (and Athena himself) are welcome to join in as well, along with anyone traveling with Hakuna and Primitus that ISN'T living in the Kitwana at current! Don't have a member of the pride or Athena's family (blood-related or not)? Well...non-lined species that AREN'T prey (lizards, fennecs, etc.) can be used! They are welcome in the pride!

Kaida was tired, but happy. Six little ones, all with her blood. And that of Athena. She wasn't particularly attached to the male in a romantic manner, but he'd been nice, and someone she figured she could certainly call 'friend'. The lone male twin of the litter (two sets of twins, she'd been surprised at that!) had decided to perch on top of her head, paws moving her hair in a way that gave him better grip and made it harder for her to see.
"Be careful up there, Kouji."
"Of course, Mama!" Kouji looked around excitedly, tail swishing behind him. He was going to get to meet everyone! He could recognize pride members that shared markings with his mother and siblings and his Grandpa Emil, so that meant...lots of family! Nyx was the first to approach her, smile on her muzzle.
"Congrats, niece." And she looked to the cubs. "Welcome to the family, little ones. I look forward to getting to know you." Moving up to her side was the familiar large bulk of Na'ima, the Chief Healer all smiles. She'd helped deliver the cubs into the world.
"I'm glad you're still doing well, Kaida. It would be a shame if I lost my best apprentice to ill-health." Kaida smiled at Nyx, then frowned at her once-mentor.
"Hey now! I'm fit as a gnu!"

Dilahn was dangling most undignifiedly in Ares' grip, her very eldest half sister of an army carrying her happily, but Dilahn?
Oh, the party was welcome but it wasn't going to be fun. Pauri wasn't there and she resented every minute of that. She preferred playing and being with him, not... Well, everyone but Kouji. She spied her Grandma Tanwen moving about, and her ears just flattened. She had too much family. She knew most of them on sight, and she was bored, Dilahn whining pathetically.
"I wanna go OUT!" The female whined.
Loudly.
Aile watched her watched her neice carried by by one of Athena's entourage, the female blinking as she trot to her sister, giving her a lick to get her bangs from her eyes without disrupting her nephew, and she nosed him gently.
"Hey munchkin. Having fun up there?" She smiled. Of the pair she always thought she'd had kids first, but nope. And that was fine.
Better than Wu Fei breeding.
Ten times better.
Mizu crept into the crowd shyly, looking around before moving over to Ares' side, watching the going-ons curiously. She wasn't raised in a pride and travelled with Athena often-- ribbed for being, blissfully, cubless, but the going-ons were nice and the Big Fluff would probably enjoy flirting some if the number of women was a clue. Males too, even the surly, downer females and males. So it could be interesting.

Lebbaios was obviously not happy with the large crowd forming around the pride. Agaue was only days away from delivering her cubs, and here stood this large crowd ... making NOISE ... and being ... STRANGE. He of course had been made aware that all of these lions were trustworthy, but a part of him could still hold suspicion. All right ... he was completely suspicious of every last one of them. But it was only because he was so protective of Agaue! So far he had done a horrible job of protecting her from the dangers of the world ... he was prepared to make up for that now. Now as she prepared to deliver her litter ... he would do everything in his power to ensure it went well. Which at current, involved him inspecting the crowd forming around them. Was it safe for her to come out and mingle? OR should he insist she stay in? He wasn't stupid, he knew she wanted to come out here and mingle, though he wasn't about to allow it without a check. He really didn't want to allow it at all. But from what he could see, no one here meant them any harm ... or Agaue's unborn cubs. Heaving a sigh, he turned his body around to face behind him, before heading back to the den he had created for the soon to be ... family.
Hermes sat up straight, staring at the large crowd forming around her. Mom and Dad had explained to them that this was their large family, but so far she hadn't been able to take it all in. Especially when Mom had told her that they weren't her children, but the children of other lionesses! Things were still swirling around in her head, and despite her Father's urging her to speak to them, she hadn't brought up the courage. She didn't know them, and maybe she never would? Mom had mentioned that Dad traveled a lot, and that her siblings did as well. Such a strange way of life, why didn't her Father just stay here with them?! A yawn crawled over the cub's maw as she watched everyone interact, she felt so out of place! What was a girl supposed to do, when she didn't know what to do?

Dovev couldn't help smiling. There was new life in the pride, and it was always nice to hear the sound of cubs. The pride always did better with cubs running around, in his opinion. The green giant of a leopard stretched out, laying in a spot where he could observe everything but be out of the way of the younger revelers. He wasn't so young anymore, even when he'd joined he hadn't been young. And he was starting to feel it.
He eyed Lebbaios warily, not getting up, but shifting just in case. He was a new face, and it didn't seem he'd come with the father of the cubs. He motioned to one of the lions nearby, one he knew would do what he needed. "Tamana, can you follow that lion? Be careful, please, but...find out what's going on." And...oh hell. There was a rhino on the borders of the celebration. It didn't seem aggressive...that was a good sign.
His niece had cubs. It was a dizzying thought, for the SANE niece to have bred before the crazy one, but...eh. Tamana was glad she was happy, and safe. And the strange group and half-siblings of the cubs that came to celebrate their birth seemed nice enough. He'd never met the father, but he'd never met the father of a lot of lions in his family. Kind of came with the territory of being in the Peponi-pya, he guessed.
Dovev's summons was heeded, the lion making his way over to him. "Yeah?" He listened to the request, then nodded. "Yeah, I can do that." He looked in the direction Dovev had been, then started off in it. Huh. Another new face. It was nice seeing new faces again.
Laoch chewed on part of an antelope, watching those around him. He was still settling into the pride, finding his feet among these creatures. But he was...content so far. He didn't have a mate yet, but that was fine with him...after all, he was no longer an heir. Just an average Guard, an average pride member. His status as a member of the Clan of Mar didn't matter here...and that suit him just fine. It was nice seeing them all celebrate, though. And it was nice seeing cubs around.
Keikyoku was proud of herself and the other hunters, because so far the food they'd brought in was enough. More than enough, even! The dusky rose lioness watched a mandrill walk by, nodding to the old female before nudging her old friend. "Think you'll ever have cubs, Ichi? You should find a mate so I can have nieces and nephews to spoil. And don't be a grumpy butt, got it! This is a party, so relax and have fun~! Maybe meet a nice girl!"
She was never going to stop hoping her brother-by-choice found himself a lady.
Asim was giddy, despite the nervousness in his gut. One of his best friends had little ones! It was pretty damn awesome. Especially since it meant he and the other Nannies had something to DO again. Sadly, Kaida and the cubs were rather surrounded by creatures at the moment, so he was nervous to approach them. He did, however, move over towards a female that seemed to come with the horde of half-siblings. A darker female with green-blue markings all over. "Hello miss."

Agaue wanted to get out of the den. Being cooped up was not making her happy, and it especially was unpleasant because she was being TOLD to stay inside. Who had given Lebbaios permission to tell her what to do? She certainly had not, and she was going to sneak out regardless of his wishes if he didn't let her out of the den soon. The nerve of that male was just too much at times. Their exile had given him thoughts of grandeur, she was sure of it. Why else would her loyal knight get it in his head that he could order about his princess?
Agaue might be a princess in exile, but she was still HIS princess. Besides, he was HER mate now, because SHE said so. He needed to remember these things and not treat her like a frail cub. She looked over at the entrance of the den and started out of it, not even waiting for the male to come back. She nearly ran him over as she waddled out of the den, and the female took a moment to give him a stern look. "I am going out and you are coming with me." Some things never changed.
Athena was always excited over more cubs and to have another litter to dote on was welcome indeed. His last litter that he got to raise was grown up, the only ones that might not be would be off with Gin. Other than knowing of them, he did not get much news of them. Gin was a pridal leader and had duties and cubs. But even so, he thought they were close to grown by now. Maybe one of these days he would be able to wiggle his way into Gin's pride, or at least to the border, for a visit.
That aside, though, Athena had new cubs to fuss over, and he was going to do so! All these new daughters, and even a son. He did produce a lot more daughters over all so far, but that was fine by him. The fluffy male adored each and every one of his cubs and when he one of his sets of twins, he went over and just scooped them up to snuggle. That was another thing he was good at producing: twins. He had two sets in just this litter! Six sets total... and one of his other litters had produced two sets like this. He was a lucky lion to get so many twins in just six litters. He put Hermes and Hephaestus up in his mane and looked smug. "Hello girls."
Zeus looked around at her siblings to make sure they were staying out of trouble. SHE was the leader, or so she told herself. The little lioness had taken up a perch on rock to get a better vantage point. It was her job to make sure everyone was doing well, and if somebody was getting into trouble, she might not actually stop them, but she'd certainly try to make sure they didn't get caught. What was a sister for, afterall? She looked up at Nyx and then at her mother, deciding this lioness was fair game.
Zeus gave no warning before taking a running start and a flying leap onto Nyx' back. She actually manged to get her little self up there pretty well, though the landing was a bit rough. She had to crouch down and spread her paws to keep from falling back off. It was not the most graceful landing in the world, but small cubs had problems with grace. Never the less, the little green and grey lioness was quite proud of herself and got comfortable on her new perch as best she could. It did not matter to HER if the grown lioness protested. Nyx was now Zeus' new napping spot, and she would have to deal with it.

((Old cert, needs updating.))
His best female friend had cubs. His distant cousin had had cubs. It was still...well, weird to the Guardian. He hung off to one side, tail twitching behind him as he watched the goings-on. So many creatures, so much revelry. There was even the father of the cubs and some of their older half-siblings among them! It was nice seeing for himself that the father of Kaida's cubs was a good lion. In matters like that, he couldn't help but worry. He noticed Dovev send Tamana off to do something, then noticed the mandrill who lived within the pride, and...was that a rhino? Yes, yes it was. He'd have to keep an eye on it.
On top of greeting newcomers. Kaida was surrounded, so he'd wait. For the moment, he saw a rose-colored lioness and vibrant violet lion that needed welcoming. He carefully approached Keikyoku and Ichihatsu, smiling. "Hello. I've not yet gotten a chance to welcome you two. I am Crepusculum, one of the four Guardians of the pride. You've likely dealt with one of the others when you joined?"

He knew he had a trail, he could feel the eyes digging into his back and sending shivers down his spine. But for the time being, he would ignore the spy. Whoever it was couldn't mean him any harm ... he had been promised a safe place to deliver their cubs ... a refuge. Though spies weren't typically a sign of safety, he was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. He wasn't entirely trusting of them just yet .. perhaps it was the same for them? Glancing over his shoulder, Lebbaios saw no immediate threat. At least, not from the back, but what he hadn't expected was the assault from his front. Her words hit him before anything else, and he jerked his head around to meet her. Catching her just in time to see her adorably waddle belly walk. A smirk slowly spread over his face as he tried to hide the laugh building inside of him. "You really think you can make it?
Seems like that belly has more control over your feet that you do."Grinning from ear to ear, he flinched for what he expected to be a swat across the face. "Alright, fine. Where is it we're going exactly?"Hermes hardly had time to look up at her sister and object to anything, before she was quickly scooped up into her Father's mane. Her transformation was almost immediate! The second she smelled her Father's scent, and ran her paws through his fluffy mane, her expressions softened, and her limbs relaxed. "DADDY!" Hermes squealed, fluffing her paws through his mane in adoration. "When did you get he-" Before she could even finish her sentence, her sister was up on top of Daddy's back staring off into the distance. Hermes' ears perked as she tried to balance herself on Athena's back. Her eyes widened in surprise as she realized exactly what her sister had been looking at. "Oh yes! CAN WE?! Pleeeeeeease?!"
