Harith was lost. Physically and mentally. All that he had known was gone. The dens, the lake, most of his family. All gone separate ways. But for once he didn't feel the need to follow behind his parents heels as he would have done if he were still considered a Pesar. He did love his parents and would like to end up in the same place as them by coincidence, but that was all it was. He was no longer a little cub. He was a grown lion with responsibilities. Responsibilities to his mate.

Mate. No longer a Banu, Seth would never be one of many lionesses in his den. He was now all hers just the same as his old pride's customs had made her his. And he wasn't finding the transition difficult at all. Harith had never really wanted a second one, had barely wanted his first. To throw a young male into the roguelands alone to find a mate still seemed silly to him. If new blood was needed, just sent out a few male parties to recruit new ones. A mixture of female and male would be better. A pair with no ties to the pride could provide a litter that need not have worries about who they were related to.

But this was pointless talk, as the pride was gone.

The lion stood a good few miles from the territory the U'W used to accompany, breathing in heavily the scents of the roguelands he had hoped to rarely smell, again. His ears bent back showed his displeasure at returning. It had been a while since he was last here, however no space between him and this place would be large enough to satisfy him.

Turning his blue eyes on his now monogamous and beautiful mate, he grinned teasingly, trying to lighten the mood of it. "You are now not required to share me." To the Jackal, he merely nodded, not sure what to say to her. "I have more extended family in another pride if neither of you mind checking it out first. I'd also like to visit someone now that I'm free of obligations."

Poor Adol Harith can't stop flailing. "No, no, that's not why I was talking to you!"

User ImageSeth had sought the safety and security of a pride. She and Akida had grown weary of the uncertainty of rogue life and had stumbled upon a home and a strange, nervous little lion. A little lion who had grown into someone stronger. Braver. More sure of himself. It hadn't been long before Seth had found herself quite fond of the scared little lion in the rogue lands. His worry was endearing, his honesty refreshing. Though it was clear he was only out there because he had been forced to be by tradition, Seth considered herself to be a lucky lioness. That nervous adolescent she met in the rogue lands had stayed true to his word in every regard. It was different from what she was used to but our was also nice. Harith had been the right choice.

However her life in the pride had been much shorter than she expected. Sickness took over the land forcing Seth and her new mate, how strange it was to think that she had a mate, now, to seek a new home. That suited Seth just fine, though. As far as she was concerned, as long as she had Akida and now Harith, she was home. Besides, he seemed to have some plan. Visit a friend and join a new pride? In truth, it was all the same to Seth. She couldn't lie. She did enjoy traveling every now.and again. What was life without adventure?

And her adventure with Harith was truly just beginning.

As Harith teased her, the lioness let a sly grin slide upon her lips and she gave him a sarcastic expression as she spoke, "As if another lioness would put up with you," she teased back. "Besides, no lioness could compare with me," she joked. In truth, Seth had often times found herself to be quite plain compared to other females she had seen in the rogue lands. She did not deny, however, that she had a lovely coat, pure white like driven snow and some pale blues and purples highlighting her head, her tail. She did not find herself ugly in the least,

It was a moot point though. When Harith had said he did not want another mate all that time ago, Seth had believed him. Even if life had been different and he had taken another, Seth would not have been particularly concerned. If that was how fate intended her life to go, so be it...but it hadn't. A small part of her had to admit that she was pleased with by that turn of events. The longer she had know him, the more she did not want to share.

When he started to speak again the lioness was drawn from her thoughts of the past and pushed towards the future.

"A visit sounds nice, I suppose. As good as anything else. Then we can visit this new pride and see if we want to settle there," Seth responded with a sensible nod.

"Who are we visiting?"

---

User ImageAkida hopped along next to Seth with a bit of a smile. She was happy there were going out and exploring again but she would miss the warm safety of the den she had grown so accustomed to. Nevertheless, she was with Seth and that was what mattered.

For now, the jackal didn't have much to say, and so she kept quiet, instead much more interested by the conversation at hand. Meeting new lions and creatures and hopefully jackals was always interesting.

Harith never really noticed any change in him. True, he wasn't as nervous as he had been before. Talking to lionesses never made him want to hide his head in a hole. But he credited that to Seth. He had done his quest, so why worry about the opposite sex? Having it done and in the past and seeing Seth wasn't running to get away from him had made him calmer. More relaxed. He was still quiet and tended to stick to his own family or den. Still had his awkward moments. Still had yet to try anything on Seth besides the small things. Just the mere thought of it was enough to send him into a panic. Besides, it still felt like just yesterday he had brought her back to the pride. They should still have a bit more time to get to know each other before introducing...That to their relationship. There was no rush.

A small smile played at the corner of the lion's lips as he looked out over the lands before them. Cautious eyes always on the horizon for weather or danger. "Probably not. You truly are a saint, Seth."

Going silent, Harith scanned around him with his pretty blue eyes. He had never thought to ask in which direction the Pridelands were. Now that everyone else was gone and he had been too focused on escaping the sickness to bother with asking. He supposed they could ask directions from passing rogues. But that was a danger if they turned hostile. He concluded it would be better to visit Eli, first. Maybe she would know. She had been in the roguelands by herself for so long before her pride. It almost seemed like she knew everything.

Eli's pride, at least, he had a better knowledge of where it lay.

"A friend who helped me survive during my quest. She's also apart of a pride. If you'd rather settle there instead of the other, that's fine with me." Turning to face her, Harith flashed Seth a sweet smile. "I don't require extended family to be happy. Goes for you, too, Akida. Your opinion is important, too. I know her pride is much different than U'W. I'll have to majorly adapt no matter where we go, so the final decision can be you two."
