The Knight was considered the ideal bodyguard for the Princess. He was chivalrous, levelheaded, an accomplished warrior, and had a reputation for honorable behavior. He seemed perfect for watching over her, until she was safely married off to the Prince of Erias. However, there were two snags to this perfect plan. First, the Princess has no desire to marry the Prince, and would prefer to marry even the Knight. And secondly, the Knight in question is actually a girl.

 Azariah was walking around in the courtyard which held her rose garden. She had many kinds of roses in there, but most of all her favorite. The Fire and Ice rose. She bent over and smelt one of them. "Perfect." she said to her self. she turned and looked at her maid. "Don't you think they're beautiful Miki?" She asked her. The maid smiled and nodded. "Absolutely the most beautiful in all of the world your highness." She told her. Azariah then heard her father the king walk onto the courtyard. "Father!" she said happily. It was very rarely that she saw him. She hugged him as normal and listened to what he had to say. "My dear daughter, you are getting a new knight to watch over you. He his very brave. I'm just having him follow as a precaution for now." He told her. Azariah nodded and didn't argue. She knew that if her father wanted her to be watched then she was in danger some how. Her father then walked away and Azariah went back to looking at her roses.

Azariah smiled. She then bowed. She hated curtsying so she always bowed. "Hello River." She said and walked up to the person. "You can just call me Azariah. Also, You can stand normal. I don;t like people who act all formal around me." She added and giggled. She then picked a rare blue rose and gave it to River. "Here you go. The blue rose symbolizes bravery." she said and sat on a bench next to the red roses.

River paused then nodded, "Yes Pri-I mean Azariah." she let out and she dropped her arms to her sides. It was weird not being formal, it'd definitely take some getting used to. She cleared her throat as she was given a blue rose. She looked at it as she held it and nodded, "Thank you." She let out. She smiled some and looked to Azariah as she went to sit down on the bench. River bit her lower lip then moved over and sat next to her. "What sort of things do you usually do..?" She questioned.

Azariah looked over a River. "Well I normally just wander around my rose garden, but lately I've been taking my horse out to the beach. However, since I can't go alone anymore my father said I can't go much." She said and frowned. "I love riding Mystery" She added. She then looked down. She loved her horse and the beach. She then looked at River. "Would you like to go riding with me?" She asked standing up happily.

River watched Azariah and shook her head, "That is what I am here for. To protect you while you go out, right? So you can do so." She smiled. Although she chuckled a bit at the offer and nodded, "Alright, alright. We can go riding. Whatever makes you happy." She let out. She rose to her feet. It was best to just keep the Princess happy and go along with what she wanted, as long as it wasn't too bad that is. River pushed hair out of her face and she shifted her attention down to her feet for a moment.

Azariah looked at River for a moment. "You know your a very pretty guy you know that" She said and giggled. "You'd be perfect girl if you were one." She added. She then walked away smiling. She loved being around her knight already. She walked towards the horse barn and went to Mystery's gate. She went in and brushed her before letting her out. "I've missed you boy."

River blinked and chuckled nervously, "Uh... Thanks, I think?" She let out as she followed after the Princess as they made their way to the horse barn. She stood off to the side and watched Azariah speak to Mystery. She rubbed the back of her neck. A pretty guy, if only she were that. She wouldn't go and tell the Princess anything though, that was far too risky in her case, and risky for her father. If anyone important found out she were a female, she'd be in for it.

Azariah looked at River. "We sadly don't have any extra horses, so do you want to ride with me?" She asked and blushed a little bit. she barely knew River, but it was the only horse in the whole barn. She then looked at Mystery and put the saddle on him.

River chuckled slightly, "It is quite alright. I wouldn't mind riding with you." She nodded. She'd just sit behind the Princess anyways, not like it was that big of a deal. River watched Azariah as she put the saddle on the horse and smiled some to herself. The Princess was so pretty up close, River had only seen the Princess at a bit of a distance until now.

Azariah then climbed onto Mystery. she Held her hand out for River. "Here I'll help you up." She said and waited. She was looking at the saddle sometimes thinking she needed to get a new one. This one was all torn. it was pretty but going bad. It had blue roses painted on it and was black.

River looked up to the Princess as she climbed on and she laughed. She moved closer, grabbing Azariah's hand. With her help she was up and onto the horse in no time. She placed her hands onto Azariah's hips so she wouldn't fall off. It wouldn't matter how close River ended up to the Princess, thankfully her chest was bound so it helped with making it seem like there was nothing but a flat chest.

Azariah smiled and snapped her finger and Mystery started moving. Azariah kicked the sides of him and he ran faster towards the beach. She giggled and waved her head around to let the wind through her hair. She really missed that feeling.
