Ainsley Loren, swiftly gallops through the fertile lush woods, near the places several of his family members dwell, or happen to hang out at during most of the day. As he most effortlessly along he avoid tree, fallen branches and anything else that happens to get in his way, zig-zagging and leaping as he goes.

The Earthy colored stallion is overjoyed with happiness. He can not wait to tell every about the blessed news. After, what had seem a life time, well to him. It had finally happened. His beloved Criana and he are finally expecting a family of their own, and he can't wait to tell everyone of this fact.

It had been not to long before that he found out his Great Uncle Shoshan Blythe and Great Aunt Glitter were expecting and he had been both happy for them and jealous For they had already been blessed with two sons, but Criana and he hadn't been blessed with any. That all changed now and he was thrilled. The fact that there would be several foals born, near to each other made everything more blessed.

"Oh freak I am going to be a father. Me, a father and Criana is going to be a mama. This is so wonderful. I think it is the most wonderful thing to have ever happened." he happily rambles out to a bunch of squirrels, who he happens to notices .

Dyson wandered idly through the woods, his long tail swishing blithely behind him. He didn't have any particular goal in mind aside from perhaps scaring up something to eat. But he didn't need a goal. Everywhere he went, he acted as if he owned the place. And these woods were no exception. The kalona stallion was massive, standing over twenty hands tall, with rippling muscles and a bull-like physique. But his dark coat blended well with the shade of the woods. Throwing his weight around was an easy task.

He lowered his head, breathing in scents. Squirrel. Not very exciting game, but something. He was getting close, walking softly, hearing their chittering, but then, there was a crash and an exclamation as something - no - someone interrupted his hunt.

His ears flattened against his head and his lip curled into a snarl of irritation. Assuming that the cerynei stallion was speaking to him and not the wildlife, he interjected himself into the conversation. "And just why should this tidbit of information bring me any entertainment."

The young mare couldn't help but explore. She had obtained the strange curiosity from her small mother. It was better than staying under her father's watchful eye - he watched his family like a giant hawk, his golden eyes never left them. Nonetheless, she had managed to sneak away.

Stretching her golden wings, she wandered around at the edge of the woods, her body glowing like moonlight. It was only at the sound of voices that she finally stopped her trekking. She peered around the trees and looked at the largest Kalona she had ever laid eyes upon, even larger than her father. He was terrifying to look upon, enough to make her flank shiver in unease. "Wow...." She breathed softly, glad she was not the object of his gaze.

To get involved, it was something she hoped would not happen.

Dyson smirked as he seemed to have stunned the exuberant soquili to silence. With a casual roll of his shoulders he turned to leave the stallion be, pleased that there seemed to be a silence in the woods once more. However, just as he was turning to leave, and the squirrels ventured back down the tree to p***k their ears at the innoculous cerynei, Dyson lashed his tail quickly, spearing one of the squirrels on the spike on his tail.

Perhaps this wouldn't turn out to be such an irritating day.

He swung his tail back around to his mouth, taking a savory bite from it as casually as most soquili would an apple.

But then, he heard a soft snap in the underbrush, and he turned, eyes narrowing as he turned in the young mare's direction.

"Well well well.... what else do we have here..?" He rumbled.

When the monstrous stallion turned his head toward her, she felt her ears pin back in fear. It was like having a spawn of hell strip her bare. Was he a spawn of hell? Honestly, she couldn't think of him any other way. He just seemed dangerous. Perhaps just appearances? She fluttered her feather wings nervously.

"I-I am Moonsong. I'm sorry if I was intruding on your lunch. My father is a meat-eater as well, but does not enjoy us witnessing him devouring his prey. I don't see it wrong though..." She gulped a little, mostly out of her own nerves getting the best of her. "I don't see anything wrong with it. It is nature, correct?"

Perhaps this large creature would be of sensible mind instead of find her, a little mare, to look appetizing.

Dyson looked down at the smaller, younger mare with a critical eye as she showed herself. He let his silence hang in the air for almost an uncomfortably long time as he slowly chewed before finally swallong.

She was slender, colorful.... though there was something Dyson couldn't quite shake that was vaguely familiar about her as well. He couldn't place a hoof on it, however.

He shifted his weight and an unsettling, confident smile spread across his face.

"Your father is a 'meat eater', hmmm?" He repeated, casting an air of mirth on the way she phrased it. "I see you must have inherited sadly little of his blood." He spoke with ease, his voice carrying his confidence with its deep rumble. "Although... 'natural' is such a vague term...." He angled his head to the side, showcasing his long, spirialing kalona horns. "There is no doubt that there are any number of predators that feast on the flesh of others... but it takes a special breed of soquili to join those predators. A superior breed."
