Pollack Aziza: /Honestly she was use to bumping into things since her mind tended to trail to checking out the soil, how lush the area was, if there was a water source around and ect. But normally the things she bumped into weren't breathing! They definitely didn't normally didn't pull out a huge sword at her! Her blue eyes widened at the sight of the sword as her body took a step backwards. "I'm...I'm sorry!" /Though she couldn't say the sword wasn't catching her eye for other reasons besides that it could hurt her, she knew at least when someone waved a weapon in her fact not to go all googly eyed on them. "I...was just passing through. Did I disturb you're lands?" 8D "Cause they are lovely might I say - very adept to growing flora!"

Baby Pandah Kaito's blank eyes stared forward in the blindfold, unblinking and unseeing. He could feel her body shifting away and carefully put his sword back into its sheath (he had learned its place over the years, after acquiring many scars, and knew exactly where to place his weapon). His ears swiveled to listen to her voice, but also to keep track of Tsunami's signals. So far she was giving no signs of danger. "These are not my lands, I am passing through as well," he said to the mare, "is it lovely?" Tsunami was not distracted by the songbird, she was on the job. Her job was to make sure this mare didn't do anything shady. She kept herself on edge, ready to signal her blind partner should anything go wrong.

Pollack Aziza: /A small smile played on her face as her whole demeanor perked up now that he had lowered her weapon. Why his eyes might have been staring into one place her's where doing the opposite, taking in every little detail about him as she spoke. "You are? Are you from around here? Or are you from a far away place? Have you ever been to a desert because that's where I'm from." ^__^ /Her curly tail swished behind her as she got more and more worked up. Oh, how she loved hearing the stories and about all the different places in these lands! She had heard tales of wet swamps, golden plains, to large towering mountains that soared into the heavens. All of which were places she would soon be checking out. Course his question brought her back down to the place she was currently at now. Taking her gaze from him she looked around, noting all the details of the place. "Yes, it's quite lovely! The grass is a very bright green from having a good supply of water, and there are all kinds of plants around of all different kinds of colors." /Course by this point she honestly didn't know what flowers were. The only ones that could grow in her homelands were from the cactus and were a very rare and beautiful thing to get. "There are large trees which are giving off a nice shade, though, I have learned that they bare no fruit but instead just have really hard...things...growing on them."

Baby Pandah He tried to picture what she was describing, his expression rather hardened as he thought. He had never seen color as he had been born blind. He knew the world must be beautiful but to him it was black. But what he could hear confirmed what she said about it. He could hear a slight breeze moving through the tops of the trees and causing the leaves to whisper. He could hear her hummingbird's wings beating somewhere near them, and he could hear her voice asking more and more questions. He frowned, trying to catch up with all that she was telling him and asking. "I'm from a far away place," he muttered, not wishing to talk about it, "what is the desert like?"

Aziza couldn't picture what it would be like to be without sight. She relied on it so heavily with her job and her quest, without it she would no doubt be unable finish them properly. Still, she wasn't honestly sure if he was truly blind or if it was simply a fashion accessory. She knew back in her homeland many would travel with pieces of cloth over their eyes so the blazing hot sand grains wouldn't be tossed into their eyes why they were on the move. Could he be doing the same? She didn't know, she also didn't know if it would be okay to ask. Did people take offense to things differently than back home?
Her ears flicked up as she was shifted back to the convo at hand. Her eyes raised skyward as she thought about it, trying to put in words the wonders of her home. "It is...vast. You can go for days with only a sea of sand to meet you. If you do not know how to get around you could be in serious trouble. However, if you respect the sands for her power she can give you great wonders. Many animals, plants, and even soquili have learned this. My own herd was blessed by the mother desert with the gift of fresh water and fruit. Though... it can be a harsh beauty though that weeds out the weak in a blink of the eye. I suppose it's meant to balance things out!" Tilting her head to the side she smiled warmly up at him. "If you are so far away from home, may I ask where you are going? Are you simply a wanderer or do you feel the pull of one destination?"

His ears swiveled as he listened, and he began to think that the desert was somewhere he should go. Training would be harder there, the satisfaction of surviving these sands would be great. Where he was from there were great mountains and misty valleys. He felt a pang of shame at the thought of home, and turned away from the mare slightly. "I'm going as far away as possible..." he muttered.
He hadn't really planned out where he was going, because he didn't know where he was. Sure, there were trees and birds and grass, but he didn't know where that was or how far away from home he was. He didn't care either, or at least he didn't want to care. He wanted to prove himself elsewhere. "If the desert is your home? Why aren't you there?" he asked.
Nami decided the mare was safe, and flapped her wings to keep watch atop Kai's back. She could see his ears turn to listen to her movements. He didn't like it when she moved so suddenly, and she cursed herself for doing it. Though the two of them had been together for so long, she still had some things to learn as well.

For a split second a confused look on her face appeared when the stallion turned away from her. She honestly didn't understand how she had offended him. The customs and different insults of these lands were still lost on her even if she had the language pretty well handled. Aziza was just about ready to apologize for...well whatever she did when he spoke again. Her own ears lowered as she clipped a nod. Now she understood why he turned away - he was ashamed. She could respect that there were secrets that everyone had and pushing for more information could cross a personal no-no line. After all, many of traders who she dealt with back home had skeletons in their closest, it was always a unspoken rule not to ask personal questions and simply treat them with open arms and respect why they were visiting. People of the desert didn't have the resources to be picky with those they traded with. As with all things, you took your chances with what was in front of you and made it work.
A smile lit up her face as she stepped around him to his side. After so much time on the move her body ached standing still this long. But, she also had a duel purpose for moving from her spot. On her side tied by a sheer light brown ribbon was a pouch, a pouch that was very dear and special to her since it contained the only disease free seeds left from the dying date trees. With her moment the thousands of tiny seeds shifted around causing a light rustle. She figured since he was clearly using his hearing more than his eyes at the moment he would be able to pick up this rustling from her pouch. "These. They are the seeds of life for my people and the key for us surviving. If planted in the right area they will bloom and grow into fruit heavy trees that can feed many. That's why I'm so far away from home, I have to find a new safe haven for these trees as the home we have now...well...it can no longer sustain us. So, I am here to travel around till I find that special spot."

His muscles stiffened at once at her movement and as he felt her shifting towards him, reaching for his sword out of habit. But a short warning bark from Tsunami's beak told him to wait for a signal as to strike or not. A calm ruffle of her feathers assured him that all was well, and he loosened his grip on the weapon, straightening his neck to hear her rustling around with something. He was sure she had noticed his odd behavior, but he didn't know how to apologize. Being alone for so long had built his skills, but perhaps it had made him a little too hesitant around others now. He listened to her words and nodded. "That is an honorable mission," he said, gaining some respect for the mare immediately. "But what if you fail?" he asked darkly, remembering his own failure quite vividly and frowning deeply.Tsunami watched the mare's every move, in case anything sinister came out of that little pouch of hers. She could sense Kai's mood shifting to one of a more trusting atmosphere. But it was not Nami's job to trust. No, it was her job to make sure he knew what was happening. He had listened well to her signals, and she knew their skills were improving as they had intended in training. But she would not let her guard down.

Aziza's eyes darkened as her head lowered. Locks of her mass of curls coming down to cover the top half of her face as she pondered over his question. Yes, she had asked herself before that same one. What if she couldn't do it? What if there truly was no other promised lands as great as her once old home? Could her people even survive however long it would take to find this land? Something could even happen to her along her journey. Throughout her travels she was hearing more and more about a deadly threat in these lands. Tales of pawed beasts that well may look like any normal Soquili wore the pelt of a beast that took of their minds. They were bloodthirsty, with strength that amazed reason, there were also rumors they could shape shift. Aziza had been brushing them off as simple tales that parents were keeping alive so their young would not go out past dusk, however, but she had run across a victim of such a beast. Now...now she truly feared what lie in these lands and realized just how out of her element she was.
Aziza honestly wasn't sure what would happen if she failed. Perhaps her people would go on, after all she was not the only seed bearer searching for a new promised land out there. Perhaps not.
But the one thing she knew is giving up before she was successful or on her last breath was not an option!
Shaking her head she lifted her head back up. One of her cloven hooves lifted before slamming it's self back into the grassy plains below her. "I won't! There might be many different paths my journey can go but down the path of failure I refuse to even look at! It would mean that either my people would have died or I have and that is I thought I do not wish the dwell on. I have learned in my time away already that this world is more vast and different than I could have ever dreamed. There has to be at least one place that are blessed...one place that can hold the key to our future. I simply have to find it."
Her lips pursed as she finished her little speech. Unknowingly to her she had started to pace, driving a tiny bald spot already into the grass due to just how hard she was stomping. Flicking her ears back she craned her head over to him, a sheepish smile forming on her face. Yes, it was safe to say she was back to her normal bubbly self. Her one-track drive to safe her people now pushed back from rearing up. "I am...sorry for getting so..as you say worked up? I am not in anger at either of you." Frowning slightly she came to a stop finally in front of him, remembering now that he reacted with noise. It was something that was interesting her for a while. Darn it if it was rude, she had already been rude by going on her little rant. Plus, it would change the subject from her outburst which she honestly wanted nothing more. What more could she have to lose? "Are you truly blind, or do you simply do not wish to see the world anymore?"
