Welcome to the Sikukuu Midsummer celebration! The Midsummer Dance ended in a rather dramatic way. Sikukuu is experiencing their worst storm ever! Lightning has struck trees and started small fires. Torrential rain has swept entire hillsides into mudslides, caused the river to overflow its banks, and created new streams of fast moving water where there never had been any. Dens have collapsed, people are missing or dead, leaving the pride reeling. Instead of celebrating the summer, the pride is forced to try to limit the damage and rescure what can be rescued. Can you help?

Event rules
1. Follow SoA and Gaia ToS! (Should go without saying, but I'm sayin it anyway!)
2. This is open to everyone! Whether you have a Sikukuu member or not, whether you are an SoA newbie or oldbie. All are welcome to join the fun!
3. All SoA you can win in the event must remain in the pride.
4. You can enter as many contests as you want, but you can only win one regular SoA and one familiar from this event.
5. For the SoA prizes in need of a JRP to be certed, the winners MUST begin and preferrably finish this RP within the next month. If this does not happen, the SoA will be rehomed. |

New ranks!
Crafter. New open rank! From baubles to toys, accessories to body-painting, these are the imaginative members who express themselves via objects or services. They open stalls or booths during the festivals to offer their wares to partiers.
Performer. New open rank! These members like to show off their skills to amuse others! They might dance, sing or just be really good at telling jokes. They often work closely with the entertainers of the pride.
Medic. New RP required rank! The Medics of the pride make sure that the pride members and party goers stay healthy during the celebrations. There aren't a lot of Medics in the pride, but they do a very important job.
To become a Medic your SoA needs 2 RPs working or apprenticing as a Medic OR 5 RPs on any topic. OOCarrots can be used to replace a regular RP. PM the mule for more info.
Q & A
Can I join a party or contest ORP and just have my character watch?
Sure! You wont be able to win the prize for that particular contest, but your posts still count for the participation raffle.
I won a SoA, but I like that one better... Can I give this one to a friend instead?
I'm afraid not! You may pass on the prize, and it will be re-rolled.
Isn't Midsummer in June?
Ahem... Yes. But for the sake of fun and games we're pretending that it's Midsummer in Sikukuu now!
I like it here... Can I stay?
Sure! If you have at least one post in a finished ORP you can use it as a JRP. You may pick any of the common ranks (Celebrant, Bouncer, Crafter, Crier, or Entertainer). Just apply for a cert, fill in the form here and you're all set!
But I'd like a special rank for my SoA!
There will be plenty of opportunities for that. Stick around, and maybe start out with one of the common ranks?
I've seen these carrots handed out during the event. How do they work?
