History: When Laurence was young, he went out to have his pokemon adventure like all the other children. He wanted to become the best trainer that ever was, but unfortunately he didn't make it. He didn't mind, though, because he had made lifelong friendships with his pokemon. As he grew up, battling could no longer pay the bills, and so he had to quit and get a more reliable, if less exciting, job working in a pokemart. He was still happy with his lot in life because he had his pokemon to keep him company. He met a woman and got married; sadly, their marriage was short-lived and resulted in no children. Even after the divorce, Laurence had his pokemon. But they were getting older, and one by one they passed away. When Laurence found himself alone, he realized that he was not happy with his life. He quit his job, sold his house, and decided that he would travel the world to experience as much as he could before he followed his friends to the grave.

History: Kili comes from a long line of interbreeding pikachus and pachirisus, resulting in her, the first known pikachirisu. Life in the wild is dangerous, and young Kili was separated from her parents when a group of poochyena attacked. That was when Laurence found her. They looked for her parents together, but there was no sign of them. He took her in and began teaching her everything he knew about life.

History: Polt is a youngster who lived in the forest with a group of his own kind. When Laurence set up a camp nearby, Polt went to investigate. There he discovered Kili and Laurence, and they quickly became friends. He enjoyed being able to play with a pokemon his own age, and Laurence was kind to him and gave him food. Eventually, when Laurence and Kili were ready to move on, Polt decided that it was time for him to adventure as well. He said his goodbyes to his family and joined his new friends in their travels.
