Sunset was approaching, the brilliant but warm rays of light reflecting off her jewelry from the west as she found herself wandering east. There wasn't a rhyme or a reason to where she was heading this time, perhaps on her never ending search for knowledge there was no set trail...but she moved as if she had purpose with each hoof imprinting on the soft terra at her feet. Subira had little fears wandering at this hour, nor of what lingered in the shadows. The blood of noble and wise Angeni coursed through her veins could keep at bay temporarily even the scariest of monsters. Her size was nothing to scoff at either, clearly taking after her Clydesdale father in his impressive stature.

Besides, other than her family, she had nothing to really tie her down. She had no foals to call her own, or love for that matter; the open and uncharted trail called for her; and she could get all the little cuddles of innocent foals in her nieces and nephews. Adorable little angels they were.

Letting out a breath she debated making some kind of camp for the eve as even though she worried not of what traveled in the darkness; she was more prone to find interesting sights and soquili in the daytime opposed to night. Or so she thought. Looking around as she strolled she pondered the idea of heading closer to the mountains in hopes of a outcropping of rocks to make her shelter underneath, or perhaps to venture further into the forest in hopes for a thicket. Each option was valuable, but perhaps the safer bet while she lay to rest would be in a thicket. Then she could enjoy any local fauna while the mountain region could be more scarce for necessities than she would have liked.

"Decisions..." She stopped momentarily, she would need to decide, before it got too late and she would have to sleep wherever her tired hooves would give out on her.

Creature comforts, one might have called them. Simple, unnecessary bits of trash, some might have said, and he'd have boxed them soundly for it. What pleasure, what delight these baubles brought him. His steps were heavy even as he paced through the plains, enjoying the feel of the grass as it scraped against his sides. He was not a quiet creature, not with his elaborate jewelry rattling with each step and the heavy dragon pelt swaying from side to side. Luck would have it that he was not the only one in the area today. Not that that, in itself, was a rarity. Soquili from all walks of life were abundant so long as there was food and water present, making it the prime location for meeting new… friends.

And a friend indeed this one would be, if his eyes didn’t deceive him.

She was a large mare, though not quite so large as himself, her hide the most vivid shades of lavender. That was very definitely gold adorning her mane and throat, and Jormungard rustled his wings with utmost pleasure. Wonderful. Beautiful things were the only ones really worth anything in this world, and he makes no effort to disguise the sound of his hoof beats even as he called out to her.

“What a treasure I’ve found! A stranger to grace my humble presence!” The smile that followed his words bared every last one of his sharp teeth, but there was no doubt that despite his ferocious appearance, his pleasure was genuine. “No, I’ve never seen a beauty such as you. So exotic…” His voice was a deep baritone rumble of sound, his eyes flashing even as he swept into a dramatic bow.

“It is a pleasure, my lady. Surely you’ve been told that you are simply radiant before, yes?” He laughed, brushing past her side so he could continue to get a look at her in her full glory.

“Simply marvelous, in fact.”

Still looking between the northern and eastern paths she had envisioned taking, the mare wasn't actively looking out for anyone when a gentle sound began to drift to her ears. It didn't stand out at first, but it had a small chime to it. Was that....jewelry? A familiar sound it was, as it was what she had as background noise whenever she moved around...but was it her? No, she wasn't in motion; so that was out of the question. Then she heard heavy hoof beats move at a semi casual pace, and at the sound of a rumbling, strong voice behind her.

Turning her head curiously she could see the stallion approach, talking quite enthusiastically....and if on instinct gave a quick look around. Was he talking to someone else? She could have sworn he was, but when her eyes couldn't find any other life present nearby; it clicked he was talking most directly to her.

Once her eyes swept back to the rather intriguing stallion she found he was much closer than she thought he'd be; only by a few meters at best. Her brows raised in surprise at his rather flattering comments, clearly not used to such a fuss. Yet, when he swept down into a bow she dropped her neck and lifted a hoof back to dip down in a most elegant gesture from the stocky mare.

Treasure, beauty, exotic
My, what an interesting choice of words.

Now, Subira was not a shy mare by any means...nor was lacking in confidence. While she was a mare of mental ability...she'd never paid too much mind or fuss about appearance....but perhaps this would be a very good learning experience. No one had ever approached in what she distinguished as flirting from the stories she'd heard. It held all the signs. While well versed in how relationships, love, and courtship she'd never seen any in action aside from the ones in her herd. Either way....she was standing there and he was expecting her to reply.

"The pleasure is but mine...dear Sir. Radiant? No, that I have not...I have not spent a lot of time outside of my herd in social interactions before - and being told that from members of my family is taken in a different context, mind you." Of course, her family and friends told her she was beautiful....but it was an extension of their love....not flattery or a compelling compliment to win acceptance and possibly affection. "I do thank you, you are well versed in such kindly words....." Her eyes trained on him as he brushed past; getting a good look at the strange reptilian pelt flung onto his back. What was that?

Oh wait! Perhaps this would be an opportune time to try her own hoof at flattery, like he.

"Likewise though, I have never gazed upon a stallion as unique as you; spikes, almost dragonic....and with similar taste in jewelry..." Subira notes, almost chuckling in the fact they were near matching with earrings and necklaces. "Were it not for your kind words, I would have taken you as a powerful, fierce stallion." Not that she was disclaiming his strength, but well, it was a decent first attempt at flattery.
