Stump three adults by asking them to use two of the following words in sentences: circumvallate, sanguine, cornucopia, pontoon. Ask them to explain the origin of the word. Create a chart which contains their name, their sentence and the English word from which they believe the word to be derived.
Tried this in the chatterbox hoping for quick replies, but obviously most of Gaia has gone to s**t which reminds me why I stopped frequenting and quit the forums.
Any help is appreciated. heart

Never heard of it, never heard of it, a horn-shaped container thingie generally associated with Thanksgiving but is also found in the Hunger Games, might have heard of it
So...
Sentences? Not really gonna happen :/

A cornucopia of sanguine fell upon all in the pontoon as the Ice Cream Van ignored their requests for delicious frozen treats. Circumvallate.
X comes from X, meaning X. Sanguine comes from Sanguine, meaning Sanguine.
Repeat until circumvallate because I didn't know letters could work that way, nevermind that they had a definition.

Despite the 900-pound weight limit Uncle Zipps brought his pet Elephant, Marvin, out onto the lake, not-caring for the unholy sounds his pontoon screeched at the mere site of Marvin. °IT BETTER BE AMERICAN. I remember hearing about how the pontoon was created in a backwater county in Minnesota, my home and home state. Despite looking up circumvallate after my intial post, I'm going to pretend I don't know what it means. Mostly because I immediately forgot and actually don't know what it means. PFFT, Latin? It better not be some sort of Greece/Roman thing...
