In the epicenter of the Land of Crows lies the dense, wet, dark forests of the Vale, were in contrary to its name, is filled with large mossy trees with great roots, small plains of dark grass that give life to small ponds.

 Laxion Asmodius Corps
There was a great thud amongst the dark, misty floors of the Vale. Shortly after two more followed and the moist grass left cold sensation on Laxion's palms. The clink of metal meant that he was trying to get up, pushing his chest from the ground as he brushed some hair back he noticed he was nowhere he found familiar. The trees around him were gathered together in clusters, giving way for room to walk. From what he could tell... it was day, but the sun in the sky was just as dull as the ground around him.
Then the sudden realisation that his team must have been taken with him! Glancing around he was thankful to come across that of Alexis and Ruby just nearby. With a sigh he walked over to them in the hopes they were alright, meanwhile however... he had no idea where they were.
This was a place that gave him chills for no reason, it made him remember his nightmares as a child and the temperature seemed to be cold enough to stop any dampness from surrendering.

Ruby woke up with the shiver that surged down her spine. Where were they? Her eyes opened wide, and she looked frantically around for her teammates. Luckily, Laxion was running up to her, and Alexis was on the ground right next to her. The albino's heart almost skipped a beat, but now that she saw her team she calmed down. "Laxion, are you alright?" She asked once the male got up to her.
She noticed all the cluttered trees around her and the lack of sunlight, and for some reason this place felt familiar. Ruby felt like she was in one of her dreams, but this time she had her best friends with her.

Thankfully, the girls seemed okay. First it was Ruby that awoke and got to her feet, next it was Alexis that mumbled something about bad voodoo magic or something. Brushing herself down drastically she froze and her eyes darted around. 'Where, where are we?' with an almost high tone. It was almost like she was creeped out. 'What did we do?!' she then exclaimed, Laxion pulling a frown and saying 'i don-' and before he knew it Alexis jumped up and almost flung herself into Ruby when a large bug flew past her face!
'eeeEEEWWW, get it away, get it away!' she yelled as she hid behind Ruby's shoulders, clinging on tight as she wimpered 'geetttt ittttt awayyyyy'.

Ruby was about to say something when Alexis interrupted. The last thing she remembered was that Alexis touched the map, some gold dust, and what could have been Lucas' voice. Maybe it was something they did to the map. It was a light bulb lit up above her head because she instantly knew how they got there. "The map was a transportation device, and we're in-" Before she could finish, Alexis started screaming over a bug.
Ruby couldn't help, but chuckle as the girl jumped behind her for protection. The albino searched her had out, and let the bug, which was a huge black beetle, perch itself on her hand. "I'm home." The bug made a clicking noise before taking off. "The Land of Crows, I use to live here. It's starting to come back to me."

"The Land of Crows, huh?' repeated Laxion, taking in a gaze upon the surroundings. Alexis then cautiously took some steps aside and said 'I hate to say it, but how exactly does anyone survive here?' and then she clicked. 'WAIT... we're in a place that doesn't exist! No one can come in here?! We're... we're stuck!'
Laxion then frowned wit a surprised expression... Alexis was somewhat true. He had never heard of anyone being able to leave or enter past The Shade. In honesty... he was concerned. This place didn't look very welcome.

Ruby blocked out everything the two just said expect for the last part, and started to walk away from them. She strolled back a couple of trees before stopping. The girl cupped her hands around her mouth, and called out to no one in particular. "Hello!? Does anyone live here!?" She shouted as loud as her could, but her voice echoed aimlessly though the words. Guess everyone is either dead or moved away.
She turned to her companions and shrugged. If they couldn't find help how to get out, then they might as well walk around and investigate the place themselves. "Do you guys want to stay here or-" Before Ruby finished the sentence an arrow hit the tree just barely above her head. Ruby sank then quickly dove behind the tree as more arrows came towards her. "I'm not sure what I said!?" She shouted. "Sorry!" (Hope you don't mind a little action.)

Ruby was on the ball and already asking for life around any signs of life, better yet asking for it personally. In a land like this though it would be hard to believe anything would choose to live here. Perhaps dishonoring the forgotten guild wasn't a wise choice after all, at least the Conclave wasn't out looking for vengeance. Ruby though was greeted by some form of life, presumably, but it wasn't friendly. No, not in the slightest.
Alexis watched as a flurry of arrows shot past her face, Ruby was taking cover and almost trying to apoligise. At first, Laxion thought they accepted her humble apology. Breathing heavily after getting himself up to a tree he slowly inched his eyes over to view down towards the source of this most aggressive welcome.
Throwing himself back though another arrow shot directly past him and almost scraped his ear! Alexis' eyes were wide open, and then she had an idea. Moving her hands in arcane motions she forged a magical mirror between the three of them that showed them what was attacking them, reflecting some dark horrors. They were like short dark skinned people. Some of them barky-skinned, some with bone-like horns protruding from their skulls.
There was some moments of silence until another flurry of arrows shattered the mirror. The grotesque things were adept at keeping together, like a school of fish they walked to irritate in large numbers. Amongst them, one taller man with a tall branch that had a flag hanging from it. It was black with dark green symbols. 'hm' Alexis muttered.
At that moment Laxion pulled out his ruler-long weapon that quickly extended and tipped itself with a spear-head as his swung it around him. Alexis' weapon turned from a short-axe-like weapon into her staff and then ignited with magical and electrical energy. Ruby also did the same, it looked as though this land was not like Occulas, and whomsoever dared to trespass would have to survive on their own, as heroes, as adventurers.

Laxion and Alexis had their own means of ducking for cover. Alexis used her arcane magic to reveal whom the enemy was, and even though Ruby lived there a long time ago she had never seen these people before. Maybe these people have lived here their whole lives, and she just doesn't remember them. However, there was a slight chance they might recognize who she is. They were a fierce looking bunch, and not to be trifled with.
An unexpected arrow broke the mirror before the ground could get further speculation on the enemy. If they were the enemy that is because they could just be protecting their land or they feared for their lives. The natives got ready to surround the trio, and out of natural instinct everyone took out their weapons including herself. A tall skinny male holding a flag was at the head of the ground so she assumed he must be the leader or some high authority. Ruby didn't really want to attack them, but she needed to defend herself regardless.
The albino glanced to Laxion then to Alexis whom seemed preoccupied with something; the flag the leader was holding. The symbols on the flag looked familiar, but at the moment her brain was so scrabbled she couldn't comprehend anything. "Listen...do you know English. We...are...friendly." Ruby talked slowly for them to understand, but she had just realized what she said while she had a weapon in her hand. Lowering her sword, she continued, "My...name...is...Ruby...and you...are?" The girl waited patiently for a reply.

The pale girl was the first to try anything, but she wanted to befriend them where as Alexis and Laxion were ready to fight them til death already. It made Laxion wonder what ever had happened to that robot-like war machine Ruby used to be, R.E.D.
She spoke slowly to help them understand, and when she was finished a few of the shorter ones twitched their heads before chittering amongst themselves. Then one of them looked up to the taller one who held the flag. "Bahirok!" he then yelled as a small spark ignited in his free hand, he then tossed the small flame a few times in his own hand, each time it got bigger before he threw a flaming ball at Ruby, it defied gravity and headed straight for her!
'I don't think they want to be friend's, Ruby!' warned Laxion as he readied himself to protect her if she wasn't able to do so herself!

Ruby jumped when the man yelled, and tossed a fireball her way. Quickly, the girl loaded a blizzard bullet, aimed it at the fireball, and fired. The blizzard bullet clashed with the ball of fire, and froze it instantly. She rolled out of the way as the frozen ball hit the ground with a thud. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to fight these people. After all those years of being taught whom the enemy and to kill them without remorse seemed to fade away along with her old name, R.E.D. Regardless of what Laxion said, she felt the need to try and befriend them once more. "Please...stop..." The albino begged. She had to think of something that may arouse their attention. "Claudia...Nyru...I knew them...Claudia...sister...Nyru...friend..." She hoped the names would ring a bell, and if they didn't than embrace action was in order.

Laxion should have guessed, Ruby was capable on her own with lightning reflexes. The icy ball on the ground seemed to blend in with this world almost as much as it had burning. Staring to Alexis and then to the creatures as Ruby tried to befriend them again the pair waited for the next reaction.
There was some more chittering once again, and the taller flag barer seemed to cause silence for a few seconds. Perhaps it had worked? 'Nya biuk!' he shouted as all the rest began to warcry at the top of their lungs. 'No more talking' he then warned as he was suddenly pulled back by a surprisingly strong small creature behind him. How did it get there?! Kicking him off and using his spear to protect him the creature seemed to be lifeless beside him.
'Eyha' the leader began, holding his flag high, and as the flag got higher with the stretch of his arm the lifeless body was forced to stop up by some mysterious magic, its wounds were reversed and it breathed life once again. However, Alexis did notice how whenever one of these small creatures dies... the rest run away before coming back for another attack.

Ruby was angry because all she wanted to do was know more about herself, and she was hoping that these people had an answer. She turned to Laxion whom was being attacked, but took care of the situation. The creature was indeed dead, but somehow the leader cast a spell to bring it back to life. How was he so advanced in magic? Ruby glanced at Alexis then back at Laxion. "Let's run. Alexis use your Arcane magic to get us over this crowd so we can take off." She could hear the tribe coming back because they seemed to scattered after the creature was slain, but then quickly regroup.

'Got it!' exclaimed Alexis as she turned to face the crowd. The big bad voodoo guy then crashed his flag pole onto the surface of the dull grass as it let out sparks of fire. From it descended three individual streams of fire that moved like opening cracks in the ground towards the team with fierce speed. Using her staff she swiped the top end down and across the floor as she create a wall of ice no higher than her knees to negate it. Beginning to create her spell to get them to safety she grew confident they would be able to get away. After all, she was one of the best at the academy, no one else could beat her in an exam!
Regrettably that thought would come to an end when an arrow sliced passed her arms and left a nasty wound, causing her to stop what she was doing. 'Damn it!' she cursed under her breath grasping hold of her arm. She could then begin to sense it, that man was powerful, but he didn't seem to important, and all those little creature things were very talented. This land is nothing like Occulas. And what... they're meant to be team Elixer... they defeated a lord of Hell, at least so they thought, and how come is this becoming challenging?
'Alexis!' shouted Laxion, feeling as though he should be the protector in the ground. 'Why you!' he then exclaimed with anguish as he lunged with his spear, the tip burst from it and plunged into one of the creatures, with a final tug and a bullet's burst from the tip the body was no more as the spear head came rushing back to the spear. Again, the creatures followed a similar pattern but sooner enough they were back together in a group trying to outnumber them.
And then the flag barer did the same as before with the fire ball, but instead he threw it to the ground where it suddenly grew greatly in size and stood as tall as their shoulders, it rolled like a molten rock ready to squash as roast them at the same time.

The native leader cast a power spell, but luckily enough Alexis negated it with her own spell. The mound of ice she created was incredible, and she is truly deemed the most advanced spell caster. However, that didn't stop the natives from proceeding to attack. Alexis was grazed with an arrow, and her magic vanished. Ruby didn't know how severe the injury could be because for all she knew their arrows could be laced with poison. The sheer thought of that made her cringe.
Laxion stuck back, but didn't have much affect. Their was to many of them, and the leader didn't dare hesitate to make his next move. He formed a fire ball like before, but instead it morphed into a huge rock rolling towards the trio. "Laxion! Stay back and protect Alexis!" Ruby commanded as she ran towards the bolder. The albino lowered her weapon, and once she was close to the rock she slashed upwards breaking the rock in two. Her sword was made out of the strongest material in the world, and had no problem severing a mere rock.
She continued to run towards the tall leader, and instantly her sword clashed with his flag pole. "My name is Ruby, and I will protect my friends at all cost!" She shouted in his face, though it was most likely that he wouldn't understand. Some of the creatures that were nearby the two got ready to lunge at Ruby, but she would fall back in enough time or so she would think so.
