• Name: Shinju Mizushima.
• Age: Seventeen.
• Gender: Female.
• Personality: Shinju is a brash, confident gal who is known to get brutal when she's after something. She's a great conversationalist and wonderful at entertaining, but terrible at settling squabbles and usually has a tough time making peace between Miator, Spica, and Lulim. Though she beats herself up about her lack of civility when it comes to them, she has a strong forbearance, and can bounce back from rebukes with much ease. She enjoys her attention as etoile and basks in the limelight everywhere she goes. The junior tends to flaunt her power and, because those below her admire her, her ego inflates time and time again. Shinju has been told many times she needs to get off her high horse, but the Spica student refuses.
• Biography: Shinju is a junior from Spica. She was nominated into her role as etoile in her sophomore year following in the popularity of her older sister, Nagisa, when she graduated from school. She applied with her friend, Kotomi, who cared not for her position in the politics between the three schools. She only agreed upon it because Shinju asked it of her. Following into their junior year, Shinju and Kotomi got into a major argument that ruined their friendship. They had a falling out and, since then, the two refuse to be around each other. Kotomi, to avoid her friend completely, does not attend meetings amongst the schools, forcing Shinju to shoulder all concerns between the trio. She wears the blue necklace of the two. Though Kotomi has unofficially removed herself from her position as Shinju's partner, she still wears the red one daily beneath her uniform.
• Appearance: [x].
• Other: Shinju's twin sister, Umiko, is part of the school newspaper in Spica. Being Shinju's sibling, the redhead is always trying to trick her into spilling information from official meetings and the like. However, she catches onto her sister's intention every time, and keeps her mouth shut.

• Name: Aiza Mudo
• Age: 16
• Gender: Female
• Personality: Aiza is a very quiet kind of girl. Not to say that she doesn't speak, she only does so when spoken too or has something important to say. If you get her onto a topic that she loves, however, it'd be hard to get her to stop. Because she doesn't speak very much people tend to come to her to vent about their problems. The sophomore doesn't mind at all and always has an open ear for everyone.
• Biography: Aiza is a sophomore from Lulim. The reason she chose this one of the three schools is so she could join the arts clubs. The sophomore simply loved getting the chance to express herself with her sculptures and poetry. She could sit for hours and put together a new ballad and some of the other students liked her smaller clay sculptures so much she'd let the girls keep them. Aiza didn't really have many friends but she didn't mind and preferred being alone anyway. She didn't have much of a family either. Only her mother and grandfather are left and have been raising her since she was ten.
• Appearance: http://static.zerochan.net/Miyoshino.full.686794.jpg
• Other: Not many would've guessed by looking at her but she quite the sweet tooth. So much so she would trade a meal to have another slice of cake.

Light shown through the thin material of the curtains and stretched across the room, casting an ethereal glow to everything it touched. The rays moved along every surface until it reached the sleeping form of Aiza. Not a moment later her alarm went off and a light brown, dainty hand reached out to turn it off. Sighing and stretching, she hesitantly removed herself from the bed and prepared for the day. She combed out her hair and pulled it back the way she always did and pulled on her school girl styled Lulim uniform. After brushing her teeth and looking over herself in the mirror Aiza smiled and decided she was ready to go. She looked at the time and her eyes grew wide, This late already?! she thought. She grabbed up her bag and her newest poetry journal, already having filled up many before, and rushed out of her room to reach the cafeteria praying her favorite breakfast pastries aren't all gone.

A loud crack split the early morning air and melded with the rustle of trees encircling Astraea Hill's lakeside. The mauve-eyed girl withdrew her hand to her bosom as she glared daggers at the brunette before her, her fingers throbbing from the slap she gave the older student. Kotomi's other hand balled to a tight fist and she stomped off away from Shinju, her face still tightened in a scowl. The junior touched a hand where Kotomi's once was and sighed at the swell of red soaking into the skin where she was hit. Thinning her lips, Shinju turned and walked up the small incline the two had crossed to get to the shoreline and back onto the main path leading toward the cafeteria. As the Etoile, it was her duty to give the morning prayer, after all.

Aiza reached her destination and sighed in relief. She stopped before she entered to wipe the sweat from her brow and compose herself the way a young lady should act. She walked in with her head high and sat at the end of the table, placing her bag beside her and briefly turning through her journal. A blush came over her face as she came across a specific poem. It was the one she had written about the Etoile. She smiled a little at the memory. She had written it after she first saw her, Shinju Mizushima. Aiza thought she was beautiful and couldn't help but write something about her.
Realizing that the girl she was thinking about could arrive any moment, the quiet sophomore placed the journal beneath her seat and patiently awaited her arrival. To pass the time she listened to the conversations around her. Not eavesdropping, just observing until Etoile made her appearance. There were all kinds of topics being spoken about but not many interested her. As a dejected sigh escaped her lips she reigned to sit and be alone with her thoughts.

The double mahogany doors of the cafeteria swung open, revealing Shinju at the center. She gave a quick glance about the room, observing the many faces who had patiently awaited her arrival, then strolled in. Mumbles followed in her wake with all eyes concentrated on the red handmark on her left cheek. Yet, despite this, her chin was leveled high as she bid the three presidents of Miator, Lulim, and her home school, Spica, with a handshake and a respectful nod. After a few more steps, she was finally to her own seat situated at the top center of the room. Momentarily, the junior looked to the empty seat next to her: Kotomi's spot. It irked her, but she kept the chair open out of respect. Though her ex-friend never showed, Shinju would willing let her have her place if she did.

Standing before her table, Shinju spoke out to everyone. "Would everyone rise?" she requested with a tender smile and light raise of her palm upward. It wasn't typical of the students to stand for prayer, but that is how Shinju preferred it. "I will now begin the morning prayer. Please, do join me." As the Spica student clasped her palms together and began to say the pray aloud, a murmur of voices whispering in unison followed.

Aiza was shocked to see the handprint on her face, still an almost angry red indicating it was still a bit fresh. Also noticing that Etoile's partner wasn't there it was easy for the Lulim student to put the pieces together. She was young but not that foolish. Aiza had lowered her head as the head of the entire student body's eyes looked in her general direction not really wanting to be noticed. Just like everyone else she stood and prayed in unison with one another. When prayer was done she resumed her seat and began to eat graciously.

Her stomach had been protesting its own emptiness all morning and she wasn't sure how much longer she could've gone without becoming ill. She put several of her favorite strawberry pastries onto her plate with her breakfast and enjoyed the momentary quiet before it grew once more into a chorus of unintelligible murmurs.

I sure hope Mizushima-sama and Kotomi-sama will be alright, she thought to herself as she looked down at her almost empty plate. Concern showed on her delicate features. She cared about everyone and wanted to help but what could she do in this situation? She dismissed the thought and decided not to worry about it too much now.

Shinju dined quietly at her seat, unable to participate in the joyous bout of conversation floating between the three school presidents of Astraea Hill. Though she was content to have some semblance of peace between the three girls, she had her mind on another matter. She picked up her tea cup and bent it slightly to take a sip, but didn't do so yet. Her mind kept on trekking back to her time at the lakeside with Kotomi. Shinju regretted what she said, but remained steadfast with her choice. She could not go through with what her partner wanted. When her mind drifted back from her pondering, Shinju realized she had unconsciously bent her tea cup a bit more, causing lukewarm tea to breach the rim and run down the side. Her wan uniform was covered in a myriad of sepia splatters, drawing the attention of her fellow students.

Shinju croaked with embarrassment. When one of the presidents asked her what was wrong, a sudden insistent tapping was heard coming from the junior's right. She chose the latter to concentrate on and saw it was coming from one of the cafeteria windows. A teal eye that she recognized instantly beckoned her out from the cafeteria. Shinju inwardly sighed to herself. Umiko had good timing.

"I'm sorry; would everyone kindly excuse me?" She said to the three presidents. "I have some family matters to attend to." The president of Lulim stretched a hand in her direction, but Shinju had already rose and darted out from the cafeteria. More murmurs followed in her wake.

Shinju rounded the building until she came to her twin sister crouching behind a set of bushes. "Ugh, what an ugly flower," she said jokingly, enticing an amused grin from her sibling.

"Oho, very funny, Shinju," Umiko returned. "I just wanted to ask how you're doing and-" She pointed to the spot on her own cheek where Shinju was hit. "What's the story with this?"

Shinju rolled her eyes and crossed her arms before her bosom. "None of your business, Umi. It's, um-"

"Kotomi asked again, didn't she?"

Shinju was taken aback by her sister's question. How did she know? "Ah, yes." the girl nodded. "She did."

Umiko twisted up a lip. "Figures," she commented. "What a good story though. I'd love to write an article on it-"

"Umi-!"

"If I wasn't bound by a promise of secrecy," she finished. "I'm not that unfair, Shin."

Aiza watched everything pan out which left her quite confused, I-it's none of my concern, she told herself. She was broken from her thoughts as one of her fellow club members nudged and began talking to her, "Hey, are you ready yet? Our early morning meeting is in a few minutes and I was hoping we could walk together?" Aiza gazed up at her and answered softly, "Yeah I am. Sure just let me grab my things." She stood and lifted her bag from the floor and places the strap on her shoulder.

While walking out the artist caught a glimpse of Mizushima-sama with her sister out the corner of her eye. She quickly dipped her head and continued on her way, only catching the tail end of their conversation. In all the excitement and overthinking on Aiza's part, the aforementioned sophomore forgot her poetry journal beneath her seat in the cafeteria and obliviously continued to her club.

Upon entering the club room she sighed happily and relaxed. This was, by far, her favorite room in the whole school besides her own dorm. The smell of the supplies and it always being just a little warm relaxed her with its familiarity. The bright colors of paintings and drawings, some finished and others still in progress, littered almost every surface along with splatters of paint. Off in another area was the clay pottery materials. little chunks stuck to the desk and ceiling after that one clay fight two girls started as a joke. Aiza still smiled at the memory, even though she was getting clay out of her hair for hours afterwards.

She took a seat near the window and listened to her companion as they awaited everyone's arrival. Her attention was set on her friend as she asked Aiza, "So, have a special someone that you like?" The young artists face turned pink as one face came to mind, "N-no, not really..." and Aiza twirled her hair around her finger. "Have I ever told you you're an awful liar? Because you are. Come on you can trust me!" the other girl persisted and put a hand on Aiza's back. Said girl simply raised an eyebrow, "Well..." just then the rest of the club came in along with the club's president.

Shinju harrumphed and turned her face away from her twin. "You called me out here just to weasel out a story from me?" She asked in a complaining tone. "Umi, you're something else."

"Sorry, Shinju," Umi apologized with a cheeky grin. "When my journalist senses start tinglin', it means there's a story out there I must write. One look at you and I knew I had a scoop."

"No shame!" Shinju gawked. "Goodness-! I'm heading back to breakfast."

Umiko twiddled her fingers at Shinju playfully. "Tell me about it later, Etoile!" She chuckled.

There was a pool of students collected at the entrance of the cafeteria, most fans of Shinju worried over the sudden wave of incidents and rumors sprouting from her appearance and skip from breakfast. As she approached them, the girls tore as if they were the Red Sea under Moses's command, and she strode through while giving them a gentle morning in greeting.

The presidents had not left. They had waited patiently for Shinju's return; even stopping from their meals to eat with her. Shinju ate sparingly with them and bid them farewell when they split for the start of the day. As the Etoile made her way to her own business of the day, Umiko appeared again at the doors of the now empty cafeteria.

"Now, why are you here again?" Shinju asked expectantly. Umiko shrugged.

"For breakfast," she returned.

"Oh, that's right. You don't like eating with groups of people,"

Umiko smiled. "As always -- you know me best."

"I have to, I'm your sister."

Umiko took a seat randomly at one of the tables, reaching across and nabbing one of the untouched croissants on the platter before her. Picking up her butter knife after peeling the crescent in two, she went to swipe a bit of butter on the utensil, but accidentally dropped it. As she reached down to obtain it, the Mizushima saw it had landed on what looked to be a misplaced book.

"Hmm," she hummed as she grabbed both it and her knife.

"What's that?" Shinju asked, tilting her head at her sister's new item. "A book? Why, I thought the only thing you read is your own writing."

"That's true," Umiko confirmed. "This isn't mine though. I found it."

Shinju shooed at her. "It looks like a lost journal; just take it to the lost and found. I have some paperwork to tend to. Would you be all right eating alone?"

"I always do," the twin sister replied. "See you later."

"Bye."

After watching Shinju's departing back, Umiko casually flipped through the book as she nibbled on her breakfast. Her eyes scanned over bits of literature she cared not about -- except one. Her eyes arched in interest as she read through the poem about her sibling. Suddenly, her lips curled into a devilish smile and she sprung from her chair like a firecracker's burst. Later that day, the same poem was published in the school newspaper with the author as, "Anonymous Admirer."

The three schools were abuzz with rumors again. This time, they were far worst than before.

While walking to her afternoon French class Aiza noticed something had changed in the demeanor and all around energy of the student population. They seemed more energized and buzzed with chatter. I wonder what's going on... and no sooner had the thought crossed her mind when a girl who was rushing about handing out newspapers reached her and handed her one. Heat built up in Aiza's face as sweat formed along her brow and in the palms of her hands which shook as she read, the words staring up at her. Her stomach felt heavy and her heart beat like a hummingbirds. Leaning against a wall for support she read the words over and over again, H-how could this happen! She didn't have time to continue her inner panic attack when the late bell rung and she realized she was late for French. Haphazardly tossing the news paper into her bad she made it to the room and apologized before taking her seat.

The final bell rang and she rushed as fast as she could while still seeming inconspicuous, made her way to her dorm room. She had searched everywhere for her journal. Her bag, her shoe locker, even the art club room but she couldn't find it anywhere! That probably means the newspaper club still has it and there was no way she would go in and ask for it for them to confirm it to be hers. They'd make sure her name and picture was all over the three schools. Not to mention the nonstop questions that would be coming her way. No! She didn't want that to happen, couldn't let that happen. She enjoyed her quiet school life far too much to mess it up, I'll just get a new journal, no problem-

As she turns a corner she's stopped by someone Aiza recognized from the club. Her name was Chitose if she recalled correctly.

"Hey Mudo-san!" she greeted merrily, "Where are you rushing off to?"

"Just to the dorm I'm really tired" she answered, it wasn't a lie she was quite physically and emotionally exhausted.

"Well we live in the same building, let's walk together. Yeah, me too." Chitose smiled and took the spot to Aiza's left. The shorter of the two however really just wanted to be alone.

"Hey, hear about that poem in the newspaper? The 'Anonymous Admirer'?"

"Hehe, yeah... I heard about her... Why do you ask?" she cleared her throat hoping it hadn't sounded as nervous as she felt.

"Oh, no reason. I just thought it was a really sweet poem. I wish I had an admirer who'd write poetry for me." she sighed wistfully but soon perked up. "Well, this is my room, goodnight Mudo-san"

"Goodnight Chitose-san" she said and sighed in relief. She heads to her room and once inside begins to get things together so she can head to the bath house.
